Salary Schedule Placement and Movement. 1. Teachers employed new to the District will be placed upon the appropriate step and lane as per the adopted salary index (Appendix A-1). A maximum of seven (7) years previous teaching experience as a certified teacher (Grades Pre-K-12) shall be allowed for determining initial placement on the salary schedule. Seven (7) years of significant educational or other work experience may be approved for initial placement on the salary schedule at the sole and non-reviewable discretion of the Board. If no suitable candidate for a specialized/difficult to staff teaching position can be found within the maximum experience credit allowances provided in this paragraph, the Board shall consult with the Association to consider salary schedule placement alternatives. The Board and the Association must mutually agree upon any placement above Step 8.
Salary Schedule Placement and Movement. A. For salary schedule placement and movement, the highest degree held and additional hours beyond the degree will be credited provided:

Where a qualified teacher has previous teaching experience as a certified teacher, (Grades K-12), one (1) year credit for each one (1) year of actual teaching experience up to a maximum of twenty (20) years previous teaching experience shall be allowed for determining initial placement on the salary schedule.

  • Salary Schedule Placement 1. Credit hours for the purpose of placement on the salary schedule shall be defined as those semester hour credits earned for graduate courses that are within the teacher’s present certification or a planned program leading to additional areas of teacher certification, guidance or administration. Upon approval of the Superintendent, any other courses, graduate or undergraduate may be certified for proper placement on the salary schedule.

  • Salary Schedule Progression Employees shall progress from step to step in salary grade on the basis of satisfactory job performance based upon established standards of performance. Seasonal employee's initial anniversary date shall be established after being in pay status for two thousand eighty (2,080) hours. Such date shall then be used for annual performance evaluation and step progression consideration. When an employee's anniversary date falls on any day from the first day of a pay week through Wednesday of the pay week, the employee's merit increase shall be effective as of the first day of the pay week within which the anniversary date falls. Otherwise, the merit increase shall be effective on the first day of the next pay week. Grievances arising from the denial of merit increases shall not be arbitrable under this Agreement but shall be processed as follows:

  • Salary Schedule The salaries of Employees covered by this Agreement are set forth in the salary schedule in Appendix B which is attached to and incorporated into this Agreement.

  • Salary Schedules (a) The salary schedules shall be incorporated into this Agreement as Appendix V.

  • Placement on Salary Schedule The following rules shall be applicable in determining placement of a teacher on the appropriate salary schedule:

  • Salary Schedule Advancement The base salaries in each cluster within a step may be increased through COLA, turnover savings, increments, and additional educational attainment. Once placed in a cluster within a step, faculty do not move from cluster to cluster except as described in B.3.B below.
