Credit for Teaching Experience. Effective July 1, 2019, all newly hired eligible employees shall receive up to twenty (20) years’ experience credit for all previous teaching experience in the State of Florida or other teaching experience in a school district accredited by a recognized accrediting agency. No credit in excess of that authorized by the salary schedule shall be given, although no such credit previously granted by the District will be retracted. Verification of previous employment must be received by the Division of Human Resources not later than four (4) months from the beginning date of employment in any school year to be effective during that school year. Individuals employed within the last four (4) months of the school year must furnish verification prior to the issuance of their last check. All final checks will reflect only verified experience. Verified remunerated teaching experience under contract, or its equivalent, for one (1) day more than half the contract calendar will constitute a year of experience for this schedule.
Credit for Teaching Experience. The following shall apply for the purpose of determining the annual salary appropriate to a Member's teaching experience:
Credit for Teaching Experience. In determining the amount of teaching experience, either within or outside the district, less than one-half year of experience will be given no credit while one-half year or more will be considered a full year. Only ECE-12th grade private and/or public school experience will be given credit.
Credit for Teaching Experience. The following shall apply for the purpose of determining the annual salary appropriate to a Teacher's teaching experience:
9.06.01 All Teachers shall be entitled to a salary allowance for all previous certified teaching experience approved by this Board and its predecessor Boards up to and including, but not exceeding, the maximum salary in the salary level appropriate to their qualifications, as outlined below.
Credit for Teaching Experience. Approved teaching experience will be calculated on September 1 of every year for the purposes of placement on the salary grid. Approved teaching experience is experience as a Permanent Teacher, Probationary Teacher, Long Term Occasional Teacher (effective September 1, 2002), and such other experience in teaching as established at the time of hiring. For the purposes of this clause long term occasional teaching shall be defined as long term occasional teaching experience earned after January 1, 1998. It shall be the responsibility of the Teacher to provide the Board with all relevant statements of teaching experience.
Credit for Teaching Experience. The following shall apply for the purpose of determining the annual salary appropriate to a Teacher's teaching experience:
L9.06.01 All Teachers shall be entitled to a salary allowance for all previous certified teaching experience approved by this Board and its predecessor Boards up to and including, but not exceeding, the maximum salary in the salary level appropriate to their qualifications, as outlined below.
L9.06.02 Approved and certified teaching experience is defined as teaching in a publicly supported school or, at the discretion of the Director or Education, in a privately supported school. Teaching experience in a College of Applied Arts and Technology or similar institution maintained by public support and under the Ministry of Education ĂŶĚ xxXxXxXX XX XXxXxxX͕ Xx xX Ă dĞ Education under the Ministry of Education and Training of Ontario, a University, or with the Human Resources Development Canada Retraining Program in a regular certified program will be admitted as approved and certified teaching experience for salary allowance purposes provided that the Teacher was in possession of an Ontario Teaching Certificate for the period(s) involved. Credit given will be pro-rated for teaching for part of a school year.
L9.06.02.01 Between September 1 and the following August 31 of the current school year, a Teacher requesting information from another jurisdiction shall file a copy of the request(s) for certification of previous teaching experience with Human Resources Support Services coinciding with the request to other Board(s). A Teacher shall be entitled to the salary rate reflected in the higher grid placement retroactive to the first day of teaching for this Board, or the beginning of the current school year, whichever is less.
Credit for Teaching Experience. 9.04.01 Annually on September 1, each Member shall be placed at the grid step which reflects all elementary, secondary, equivalent or related (see 9.04.03 below) teaching experience, including Long-Term Occasional Teaching (LTO) teaching experience, based on tenths of a year of teacher experience attained, to the maximum number of years of the respective category of the Member. For the purposes of recognition of the LTO teaching experience noted above, one-tenth (1/10th) year of experience shall be credited for each twenty (20) consecutive days of teaching. Further, it is understood that teaching continuing education credit courses qualifies as "teaching experience", in multiples of twenty (20) days, on the basis that each five (5) hours of continuing education instruction is equivalent to one day's full time teaching, and provided that no Member shall receive more than one full year's credit for a combination of teaching experience within one school year.
Credit for Teaching Experience. All newly hired teachers shall receive credit on the salary schedule for all relevant public school teaching experience. Relevant certifiable experience may be considered in lieu of public school teaching experience, based on one (1) year for each two (2) full years of certifiable relevant work experience at the discretion of the Board. At the discretion of the Board, all relevant teaching experience may be granted on a case by case basis.
Credit for Teaching Experience. Credit up to the maximum step of any salary level on the Teacher Salary Schedule may be given for previous outside industrial experience or previous teaching experience in a duly accredited school upon initial employment in accordance with the provisions of Schedule "A".
Credit for Teaching Experience. Teachers on staff and teachers coming on staff shall receive full credit for teaching experience obtained after certification as recognized by Manitoba Education up to the maximum of their class.
