Salary Step Movement. Movement on the salary schedule will only occur when an employee has accrued one (1) year of credit (at least 75% of a school year). Salary schedule movement shall be based on a seven (7) hour work day constituting a full-time day. Unit members who work less than a full-time day will receive credit on the salary schedule as follows: 8.6.1 Unit members working 5 1/4 hours or more per day will receive the same credit as full- time employees. 8.6.2 Unit members working 3 1/ 2 hours per day but less than 5 1/4 hours per day will receive 1/2-year credit for each year of service. 8.6.3 Unit members working less than 3 1/2 hours per day will receive one-quarter year of credit for each year of service.

Salary Step Movement. An employee who works the full contracted year shall move one step on the salary column at the beginning of the following school year, provided the employee received an overall satisfactory evaluation for the school year. When an employee receives an overall unsatisfactory evaluation as defined in Section C of Article XVII in this Agreement at the end of a school year, the Employer will withhold the scheduled increase in the salary for the subsequent school year. If the employee attains a satisfactory rating the subsequent school year, the employee shall be placed prospectively on the salary schedule as if he/she had not received an unsatisfactory rating. The result of a salary withhold is that an employee assessed as unsatisfactory will forever forfeit the increase in salary that the employee would have received during the time period following the unsatisfactory rating and prior to the issuance of a satisfactory rating.
Salary Step Movement. The District shall pay the employee in accordance with the individual’s appropriate step and grade. Each July 1st, all WWESA members hired prior to July 1, 1997, shall be credited with incremental experience and moved one step on the salary schedule until s/he reaches Step 6 of his/her current grade lane. The WWESA member will remain on Step 6 (or step 5.5 on the blended salary scale) for five (5) years and then move to Step 10 (or step 9.5 on the blended salary scale) hourly wage as indicated in Appendix A. On the preceding July 1st of the employee’s ten (10) year anniversary date, s/he will move to Step 10 in his/her current grade lane. For all WWESA members hired after July 1, 1997, the following guidelines will apply: If a WWESA member begins employment before January 1st of a given year, s/he shall be moved one step on the salary schedule the following July 1st. On the preceding July 1st of the employee’s ten (10) year anniversary date, s/he will move to Step ten (10) in his/her current grade lane. If a WWESA member begins employment after January 1st of a given year, s/he shall receive no experience increment the following July 1st. S/he will wait until the next July 1st before receiving his/her experience incremental step. On the July 1st following this employee’s ten (10) year anniversary date, s/he will move to Step ten (10) in his/her current grade lane. This article is modified for the 2011-2012 school year, there will be no step increases for any member, in any classification, with the exception of those members advancing to longevity steps 12, 15 and 20 as identified in Appendix A. This article is modified for the 2012-2013 school year; the parties agree that members entitled to a step increase will wait until half way through the 2012-2013 school year to receive their increase. For administrative purposes, members will be paid fifty percent (50%) of their incremental step increase for the entire year. Those members advancing to longevity steps 12, 15 and 20 will receive the full incremental step increase. 4.2.1 Effective July 1, 2009, all bargaining unit members shall have 100% of their wages paid through direct deposit at a financial institution of their choice that participates in the federal automated clearing house (ACH) system.
Salary Step Movement. New hires are only eligible for a salary step movement on July 1 if they start working before January 1. Employees who take 65 days of unpaid days in any one contract year will receive no step movement the following year.
Salary Step Movement. The parties agree that achieving the second salary step, or "Step 2," and subsequent salary steps thereafter, shall require, in addition to satisfactory performance, a period of one year of actual service.   • Salary Steps 1. Employees hired into trainee-level positions (Targeted Local Hire) shall be hired at Step 1 and shall remain on Step 1 for the duration of a twelve (12) month probationary period. 2. Employees hired into non-trainee positions shall be hired at Step 2 (or appropriate higher step in accordance with applicable MOU provisions or LAAC Section 4.90). 3. Employees shall remain on Steps 2 and 3 for nine (9) months each. 4. Steps 4 through 8 are separated by two (2) premium levels (Step 4 is one [1] premium level above Step 3). Employees shall advance to each subsequent step after twelve (12) months. 5. Steps 9 through 12 are separated by one (1) premium level (Step 9 is one [1] premium level above Step 8). Employees shall advance to each subsequent step after twelve (12) months.

  • SALARY STEP PLAN AND SALARY ADJUSTMENTS Appointments to positions in the City and County service shall be at the entrance rate established for the position except as otherwise provided herein.

  • Salary Schedule The salaries of employees covered by this agreement are set forth in the salary schedule in Appendix A which is attached to and incorporated into this agreement.

  • Salary Sacrifice (a) Where an Employee wishes to have their pay salary sacrificed for additional superannuation, the Employer will comply with the Employee’s request without unreasonable delay and consistent with any relevant statutory requirements. (b) All entitlements and benefits contained in this Agreement will be calculated on the pre-salary sacrifice pay rate.

  • Salary Schedule Placement College Training A. Unit members qualifying for the “Entry Level Salary” shall remain at this level until they met the minimum requirements for placement on any other salary column (1-4). Upon verification of documentation qualifying unit members for placement upon any other salary column (1-4), the unit member shall then be placed upon the appropriate step on that salary column in accordance with his/her length of service. B. School Nurses who have a Bachelor’s degree, qualify for crediting of previous experience, but have not completed 30 semester units after the Bachelor’s degree or the appropriate clear credential, shall be exempt from placement at “Entry Level Salary”; shall instead, be placed on Column 1; and shall advance on the salary schedule in accordance with the Agreement for unit members. C. Unit members placed on “COLUMN 1” of the Salary Schedules by the agreement (Appendix C1) between the Association and the District shall advance on the schedule in accordance with that agreement (Appendix C1). D. All college or university credits which will qualify a unit member for a new salary placement must be verified by official college or university transcripts in order to justify a contract revision. Such college or university credits must be obtained from an institution of higher learning which is accredited by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges or other recognized accreditation organization. Salary revision shall be effective following District approval (as stipulated by this Article) of the necessary credits for column advancement. E. The unit requirement for each salary column is stated in semester hours of credit; quarter hour credits can be converted into semester hours by multiplying 2/3. F. For salary schedule purposes, only semester units earned after the completion of the Bachelor’s Degree shall be considered. G. Credit will not be granted for any course for which less than a "C" grade is earned. H. Unit members shall not enroll in courses which conflict with the work day. I. A major teaching field is considered to be 36 semester hours (12 of which must be upper division or graduate), a minor teaching field is considered to be 20 semester hours (8 of which must be upper division or graduate). J. Repeat credit may be granted for a course taken at an accredited institution in which the content field has recently undergone substantial change or, in the case of a course originally taken many years ago, an updating of study is desirable. K. Course work, for salary credit must be upper division, graduate level, or transferable* lower division courses, taken at an accredited college or university, and must conform to one or more of the following guidelines: 1. Units may be taken in a subject directly related to the teaching/work assignment. 2. Units may be taken in a subject directly related to a person’s major or minor. For unit members in a self-contained classroom program; a subject commonly taught in the elementary school. For unit members in a departmentalized classroom program; courses in an additional major or minor. 3. Units may be taken in a subject directly related to an advanced degree in professional education or in a subject related to the teaching/work assignment. 4. Units may be taken in a subject directly related to a credential or certificate authorized by the California Commission on Teacher Credentialing. 5. Units may be taken in a Board authorized, District sponsored, professional activity. Credit equivalent will be adopted at the time of such Board action. *A transferable lower division course is a lower division course taken at an accredited college or university that is acceptable for baccalaureate graduation credit at another accredited college or university. L. The submission of transcripts for columnar advancement of the salary schedule is limited to two (2) submission dates per school year. Additional units may be banked for future salary schedule advancement. M. Transcripts for completed units must be submitted to the Human Resources Division no later than the first of September or February for salary adjustment. Adjustment for qualifying units submitted no later than the first of September will be retroactively made effective on the first work day of the school year. Adjustment for qualifying units submitted no later than the first of February will be retroactively made effective on the first work day of the calendar year.

  • What Forms of Distribution Are Available from a Xxxxxxxxx Education Savings Account Distributions may be made as a lump sum of the entire account, or distributions of a portion of the account may be made as requested.

  • Salary Adjustments At any time during the term of this Contract, the Board may, in its discretion, review and adjust the salary of the Superintendent, but in no event shall the Superintendent be paid less than the salary set forth in Section 3.1 of this Contract except by mutual agreement of the two parties. Such adjustments, if any, shall be made pursuant to a lawful Board resolution. In such event, the parties agree to provide their best efforts and reasonable cooperation to execute a new contract incorporating the adjusted salary.
