The TIDSS Program Committee shall develop processes, procedures and recommendations for the annual determination of course offerings and the designation of originating and remote site district locations. The TIDSS Governance Committee shall make the final determination of course offerings, and site locations on or before June 1 of each year.
B. On or before June 15, of each year, (December 15 for second semester courses) the employer will post, in each building, a list of classes to be provided via two-way instructional television during the following school year. The list will indicate, with respect to each class, the district that will be receiving it. The list will also identify the number and type of positions required to provide the classes listed. The MEA office will be sent a copy of each posting.
C. Teachers shall make their interest in teaching such classes known by sending notification of same to the Superintendent or designee in their school district.
D. Assignments to telecommunications courses shall be made on a yearly or semester basis and shall be by mutual agreement of the employee and the originating site district. Such positions shall be filled on the basis of; 1) certification in the subject area;

5. Breaking Ties: Should seniority ties occur between individuals bidding on telecommunications classes, such ties shall be broken and the assignment awarded on the basis of a random draw.
SCHEDULING AND ASSIGNMENTS. 1. The semester course schedules will be developed by the Board and Administrations after all full- time faculty have been given reasonable time to provide input. Where a qualified full-time faculty member exists, they shall be given preference over any part-time instructor in the scheduling process. From the beginning of the winter term until March 1, full-time faculty will be permitted to adjust their immediately upcoming summer assignments prior to the placement of adjunct faculty.
2. Full-time faculty may schedule one “back-up” class per semester, which will be reserved for the full-time faculty member to cover a cancellation of a previously scheduled course section.
3. The College retains the right to assign a faculty member any course they are qualified to teach only if the assignment results in an overload.
4. Supplemental Teaching/Overload
a. Courses taught in excess of thirty (30) equated hours for the academic year constitute supplemental teaching (overload). A faculty member may teach up to twenty-one (21) equated hours during each of the fall and winter semesters, provided the faculty member meets their PRFEP requirements. SCHEDULING AND ASSIGNMENTS. Schedules are provided to each student at the beginning of the school year or upon enrolling. The schedule is based upon the student's needs and available class space. Any changes in a student's schedule should be submitted in writing for consideration within the first ten school days of the first semester. Any changes in a student’s schedule for the second semester should be submitted in writing at least ten school days prior to the start of the second semester. It is important to note that some courses may be denied because of available space or the need to take prerequisites. Students are expected to follow their schedules. Xxxxx Center West Middle School provides students the opportunity to broaden their learning through curricular-related activities. A curricular-related activity may be for credit, required for a particular course, and/or contain school subject matter. The school has many student groups that are authorized by the school. It is the district's policy that the only authorized groups are those approved by the board of Education and sponsored by a staff member. Extra-curricular activities do not reflect the school curriculum but are made available to students to allow them to pursue additional worthwhile activities such as recreational sports, drama, and the like. All students are permitted to participate in any extra-curricular activity as long as they meet the eligibility requirements. In accordance with Federal Law, the Board of Education prohibits the use, possession, concealment, or distribution of drugs by students on school grounds, in school, or school-approved vehicles, or any school-related event. Drugs include any alcoholic beverages, anabolic steroids, and dangerous controlled substances as defined by State or Federal statute, or a substance that could be considered a "look alike” controlled substance. Compliance with this policy is mandatory for all students. Any student who violates this policy will be subject to disciplinary action, in accordance with due process and as specified in the student handbook, up to and including expulsion from school. When required by state law, the district will also notify law enforcement officials. The district is concerned about any student who is a victim of alcohol or drug abuse and will facilitate the process by which he/she receives help through programs and services available in the community. Students and their parents should contact the administration whenever such help is needed.

The Board shall make the final determination of course offerings, and site locations on or before May 1 of each year. On or before May 1, of each year, the Board will post, in each building a list of classes to be provided via two-way TV during the following year. Assignments to telecommunications courses shall be made on a yearly basis and shall be by mutual agreement of the employee and the originating site district.. Such positions shall be filled on the basis of certification in the subject area and length of service on the district seniority list. Classes produced shall not be copied or reproduced in any manner so as to cause any teacher to be replaced. No teacher shall be laid off as a direct result of the use of IATV. Teacher assignments to teach classes utilizing two-way interactive television will be voluntary to teachers. If no teacher on the staff volunteers, the district may employ outside personnel. All credit classes will be taught by certified teachers. The originating site district shall be the employer.
SCHEDULING AND ASSIGNMENTS. The Board shall post a calendar of dates for the development of the class schedule for each academic quarter in division offices and other appropriate places and provide a copy of the calendar to each part-time faculty member who requests one. Each part-time faculty member with reemployment preference as specified in Section 7.2, may, before the date on which the first draft of the class schedule for a particular quarter is compiled, state his or her availability and assignment preference in writing to the appropriate Division Xxxx or designee. This information shall be considered in preparing the class schedule.
