School Improvement Plan (SIP). The School Improvement Plan enables the school to measure its own progress through a process of ongoing self-evaluation. This must happen continuously, especially in the years in between the cyclical external WSE. The SIP is developed by the SMT and SDT (and is submitted to the regional/district/area manager) and enables the SMT and SDT to monitor progress and improvement. The SIP must be based and linked to the strategic plans of the relevant department of education. The PGPs of individual therapists as well as the other seven focus areas included in the WSE policy, also, inform the SIP.
