Short Change Premium. An employee who is required by the Company to work a full shift or day work period commencing less than thirteen (13) hours after he has completed his last previous scheduled shift or work period shall be paid at the rate of time and one-half for hours worked in the second shift or work period. This provision applies only in the case of employees who are working on a shift basis or are changing to or from shift work. Where an employee assigned to day work is required to work all or part of a #1 shift on a regular workday, this shall be treated as overtime and the short change premium shall not apply. Where a shift worker is required to return to work and work a full shift prior to the one to which he was regularly scheduled for that day, that (first) shift shall be considered to be his regular shift for that day and if he has had to return to work less than thirteen

This short change premium shall not be applicable if the interval between working periods is less than thirteen hours due to the employee working overtime. Short Change Premium. Except in extenuating circumstances, the Company will provide a minimum of forty-eight (48) hours’ notice for a change in the posted shift schedule. In the event that the Company does not provide the minimum forty-eight-hour notice, the employee shall receive pay at time and a half for all the first shift of the new schedule.

APPENDIX Page of ATOMIC ENERGY ALLIED COUNCIL 12-HOUR SHIFT AGREEMENT STANDBY DUTY Employees on days of rest will be designated for standby duty, and a schedule posted. An employee who is scheduled for standby duty must make arrangements so that the employee can be reached by telephone or pager (in the event the employee is required to come to work to cover an absence) during the two (2) hours prior and one (1) hour following those shift change times for which the employee has been designated, and must come in if so requested by supervision. An employee who is on standby duty who is incapable of coming to work due to illness must contact supervision as far in advance as is possible and will normally provide an acceptable replacement. When requested by the Company, such employees shall provide an acceptable physician’s certificate verifying their inability to come to work as a result of illness. Failure to meet these requirements shall represent a breach of Company rules. Overtime payment in accordance with the provisions of this Agreement will apply for overtime hours worked as shift relief; however, no additional compensation will be payable by the Company in respect of standby duty. If a requirement arises for additional personnel on standby duty, employees who are on extra days off will be required to be on standby duty for their shift only.

  • Short Changeover Premium (a) If shifts are scheduled so that there are not twenty-four (24) hours between the start of an employee's shift and the start of his/her next shift, a premium calculated at the overtime rates will be paid for hours worked on the succeeding shift within the twenty-four (24) hour period.

  • Shift Premium Full-Time and Part-Time Employees shall be paid a shift premium of one dollar ($1.00) per hour for all hours worked where the majority of their scheduled hours fall between 1500 and 0700 hours.

  • Supervisory Differential Adjustment 99. The Appointing Officer may adjust the compensation of a supervisory employee whose schedule of compensation is set herein subject to the following conditions:

  • Overtime and Premium Pay Section 1. Overtime at the rate of one and one-half (1 1/2) times an employee's regular straight time hourly rate of pay shall be paid for all work over forty (40) hours in one (1) week.

  • Overtime Premium (a) Employees shall be entitled to payment of time and one-half (1-1/2X) the employee's basic straight time hourly rate for all authorized overtime work in excess of seven and one-half (7-1/2) hours in a tour of duty or in excess of the average full-time hours of work over the period scheduled by the Hospital. Such period for this purpose shall not exceed two (2) weeks. It is understood that no overtime will be paid where the time worked was a result of an exchange at shifts between employees. Overtime shall be distributed as equally as practical among those employees normally performing the type of work to be done on overtime. Notice of overtime work shall be given as soon as practically possible. It is understood and acknowledged that the Hospital has the right to require employees to perform reasonably authorized overtime work. Call-back shall not be considered as hours worked for purposes of this Article. Overtime premium will not be duplicated nor pyramided nor shall other premiums be duplicated nor pyramided nor shall the same hours worked be counted as part of the normal work week and also as hours for which the overtime premium is paid. Where an employee is required to work additional overtime contiguous to an overtime shift within a twenty-four (24) hour period, the employee will be compensated at the rate of double time his or her straight time hourly rate for all additional contiguous overtime hours worked.

  • Shift Differential Compensation Any employee in the bargaining unit whose assigned work shift commences (for unit-1) prior to 5:30 a.m. or whose work shift ends after 5:30 p.m., or (for unit-2 members) commences after 2:00 p.m. shall be paid a shift differential premium of five (5%) percent above the regular rate of pay for all hours worked.

  • Shift Differential Pay A. An employee shall receive additional compensation at the rate of seventy five cents (75¢) per hour for all hours worked on a shift when the majority of hours worked on the shift are between 5:30 p.m. and 7:30 a.m. and in locations where these classes are regularly assigned shift work.
