Short Leave. (1) The General Manager may, upon sufficient cause being shown, grant an officer short leave on full pay not exceeding two consecutive working days, but any leave granted under the provisions of this clause shall not exceed, in the aggregate, three working days in any one calendar year. (2) An officer who desires short leave shall make written application in a form approved by the General Manager for the purpose.

Short Leave. An employee, by agreement with the Principal, may take two days paid leave per school year for special non-recurring family events such as graduation ceremonies for self or family, moving house or other urgent or pressing necessities. It is available on a pro-rata basis for part-time employees. The leave is not cumulative.

Short Leave. ‌ Short leave is as a rule only granted for part of a working day. although in special cases it may be granted for one or more days, e.g. in case of sudden illness of an immediate family member or the death of a close relative. If Midsummer’s Eve, Christmas Eve and New Year’s Eve are not customary non-working days, short leave should be granted for these days if this can be done without detriment to the company’s operations. The year that National Day (6th June) falls on a Saturday or Sunday, the salaried employee shall instead be given a different free day without deduction from salary according to local agreement.

Short Leave. 42.1 Upon sufficient cause being shown an employee will be entitled to Short Leave on full pay not exceeding 2 days consecutive working days or 3 working days in a calendar year. 42.2 Short leave is subject to the employee providing as soon as practicable (which may be a time after the leave has started) advice to their supervisor on the period, or expected period, of the leave. The employee may be required to provide reasonable evidence to support their absence. 42.3 This clause does not apply to a fixed-term employee on a contract with a duration of less than 12 months, or a casual employee. 42.4 This leave will be non-cumulative, and any unused portion is not paid out on termination of employment.
Short Leave. 48.1 The University may, upon sufficient cause being shown, grant an employee short leave on normal pay not exceeding two (2) consecutive working days, and not exceeding in total three (3) working days in any one (1) calendar year. 48.2 Applications for short leave shall be made on a form approved by the University. 48.3 The provisions of this clause shall not apply to casuals or employees engaged on fixed-term contracts of less than twelve (12) months continuous service.
Short Leave. 72.1 The Employer may, upon sufficient cause being shown, grant an employee short leave on full pay not exceeding three (3) working days in any one (1) calendar year, subject to the following provisions. 72.2 Short leave shall only be taken for matters; • of a personal and pressing nature; and • which arise with little or no notice; and • which require immediate attention; and • which cannot reasonably be conducted outside normal business hours. 72.3 An employee shall be able to take more than one (1) day at any one time of Short Leave, subject to the discretion of the Employer. 72.4 Notification of a request for short leave is to be made as soon as is practicable 72.5 Failure to notify the Employer as soon as is practicable shall result in this leave being treated as Absent Without Leave. 72.6 An employee may be required by the Employer to provide explanation of the reasons for taking Short Leave. In such circumstances an employee must provide such notice as soon as is practicable. 72.7 Short Leave entitlements do not accrue from year to year.
