Trainee Wages. Contractors shall compensate trainees on a graduating pay scale based upon a percentage of the prevailing minimum journeyman wages (Xxxxx-Xxxxx Act). Minimum pay shall be as follows: 60 percent of the journeyman wage for the first half of the training period 75 percent of the journeyman wage for the third quarter of the training period 90 percent of the journeyman wage for the last quarter of the training period In no instance shall a trainee be paid less than the local minimum wage. The Contractor shall adhere to the minimum hourly wage rate that will satisfy both the NC Department of Labor (NCDOL) and the Department.

Trainee Wages. Eligible training expenses may include actual wages paid to trainees who are Full-Time Employees at the Project Location for their time while attending a training session. These expenses may not exceed fifty percent (50%) of the Maximum Grant Amount without prior written approval by the IEDC.
Trainee Wages. The Trainee should be placed on the payroll of the Employer and shall receive wages equal to the normal entry level rate of employees performing similar work. These wages are to be paid through the Employer's normal and customary pay procedures. The trainee wage provision cannot be used in wage groups 3 or 4. Traineeships are agreed on in writing or verbally. If the traineeship has been agreed on in writing, the principal terms of employment are explained in writing. Trainee wages cannot be paid to individuals who have an applicable higher education degree for the industry and at least six months of work experience for the job in question or who have at least one year of work experience for the job in question. The work experience must have been gained from professional productions and, if requested, it shall be demon- strated with employment certificates, which the employee shall deliver to the employer well before agreeing on the employment. Wage provisions are not applied to traineeships associated with studies. Regular working hours are 8 hours a day and 40 hours a week at the most.

Trainee Wages. Hourly wages paid to EIP trainees by the employer shall not be less than the following, whichever is higher: 1. The minimum rate required under the Fair Labor Standards Act (including any special rate provided by certification under Section 14 of the Act) to the extent that such Act is applicable to the trainee; or 2. Any minimum rate applicable to the trainee and required under any Federal, State, or local law; or 3. For trainees employed on federally funded or federally assisted construction projects, the prevailing rate as established by the Secretary of Labor, in accordance with the Xxxxx- Xxxxx Act, as amended; and in addition. 4. The minimum entrance rate for inexperienced workers in the same occupation in the establishment, or if the occupation is new to the establishment, the prevailing entrance rate for the occupation among other establishments in the community.
