Wage Provisions. For renovation and new construction projects whose costs exceed the thresholds contained in Delaware Code, Title 29, Section 6960, the minimum wage rates for various classes of laborers and mechanics shall be as determined by the Department of Labor, Division of Industrial Affairs of the State of Delaware.
Wage Provisions. (a) In any work week in which a regular employee serves in two (2) classifications or works as a substitute in any classification, his/her total hours shall not exceed forty (40) hours, unless approved in advance by the employee’s supervisor.
Wage Provisions. Section 1: Employees shall be paid every two weeks for approved hours worked within a designated pay period. All time cards certifying time worked shall be signed by the employee and approved by the employee’s immediate supervisor. Employees in the classifications listed shall be paid according to Appendices A & B.
Wage Provisions. There shall be no additional increases in salary for unit employees during the term of this Agreement. The parties agree that the salary setting process described herein complies with the requirements of County Code Section 2.48.180, which section is also known as the County Prevailing Wage Ordinance.
Wage Provisions. 1. A progressively increasing schedule of wage rates is to be paid to the apprentice, consistent with the skill acquired, which shall be expressed in percentages of the established journeyworker hourly rate. The rates represent the minimum for each incremental period of apprenticeship. The established journeyworker hourly rate among all participating employers in the same apprenticeable occupation shall be stated in dollars and cents.
2. The entry apprentice wage rate shall be no less than thirty-five (35) percent of the established journeyworker hourly rate. However, in no event shall the apprentice wage rate be less than the minimum wage prescribed by the Fair Labor Standards Act, collective bargaining agreements, or by Florida Statutes, whichever is higher.
3. No apprentice shall receive an hourly wage less than the percentage for the incremental period in which the apprentice is serving.
4. The established journeyworker hourly wage rate shall be reviewed annually and amended when determined by program sponsor or as per the collective bargaining agreement.
5. The minimum hourly apprentice wage rate paid during the last incremental period of apprenticeship shall be not less than 75 percent of the established journeyworker wage rate.
6. This subsection governing apprentice wages shall not be interpreted or construed in a manner that would cause a conflict with applicable federal law or regulations.
Wage Provisions. The wage schedule for 2012-23, effective September 1, 2022, is included as Appendix A of this Agreement. Unless otherwise provided, the wage schedule shall be increased each work year (September 1) by the state-designated inflationary adjustment (implicit price deflator, IPD). For 2023-24 and 2024-25 the wage schedule shall be increased by the greater of IPD or five percent (5%). Also for 2023-24 and 2024-25 the Lead Custodian/Groundskeeper, Maintenance Mechanic, Maintenance Mechanic—Night, and Facility Operations wages shall be increased an additional one dollar ($1) per hour, each year.
Wage Provisions. The parties agree that wages to be affected by this Agreement are accurately reflected in Appendix A, made part of this Agreement, and that the schedule of wages as set forth in Appendix A shall be the schedule which shall remain in force for the entire period of this Agreement.
Wage Provisions. Section 1. The Wage Schedule shall be part of and supplementary to this Agreement.
Section 2. It is understood that all employees shall receive only the wages, privileges, working hours, or conditions set forth in this Agreement.
Section 3. Employees assigned to the duties of a Custodian-Leader will be paid at the appropriate rate for any days when they are scheduled as a Leader, excluding periods when working on the same shift with the Head Custodian.
A. All employees shall be placed on the salary schedule as a Custodian, Custodian-Leader, Certified Maintenance, or Maintenance Worker.
B. Custodian shall follow written and oral assignments by the employer and perform all cleaning and related duties, including but not limited to, sweeping floors, mopping, scrubbing floors, cleaning light fixtures, plumbing fixtures, carpet sweeping and cleaning of blackboards and walls, setting-up for meeting and classroom operation.
C. Custodian-leader shall follow oral or written assignments by the employer and perform all duties of a Custodian I. Their assignment shall also include supervision of the physical plant and securing of it at times when no Head Custodian is on duty in the building.
D. Maintenance Worker shall follow oral and written assignments by the Employer, including but not limited to, door, window and hardware repair, plumbing repair, glazing, maintenance of equipment and furniture, painting and grounds care. Their assignment shall substantially be full-time in the maintenance and upkeep of the building, grounds and equipment of the District.
E. Employees in the classification of Maintenance Worker only shall perform glazing duties, except under extreme circumstances which endanger the health of any person or property of the District.
F. Anyone higher than Custodian, if absent for part or all of a shift, shall be replaced by an employee at the rate of Custodian-Leader. In the event the work in which an employee is assigned is substantially full-time in building or grounds maintenance for a day or part thereof, he/she shall be compensated at the rate of a Maintenance Worker rate equivalent to the employee’s rate on the wage schedule. In no event shall a substitute replace an employee at a classification of Custodian-Leader or higher if a regular Custodian is available within the building and willing to accept such position. Wage Provisions. There shall be no additional salary increases during the term of the Agreement. Prior to successor contract negotiations, the parties will convene a subcommittee to review the draft compensation study conducted by the County and to engage in such further study and/or refinement as necessary to enable meaningful negotiations in connection with a successor MOU with respect to:
6.2.2.1 Recommended comparator organizations,
6.2.2.2 Elements of compensation to be included in the development of the salary structure, and
6.2.2.3 Identification of which classifications are above, below, or at market based on the compensation study.
Wage Provisions. 1. Regularly employed non-teaching employees shall be paid in accordance with the schedules set forth in Appendices A, B, C, and D of this Agreement. All employees shall be paid on an hourly rate for their hours of work. The regular hourly rate of each employee shall be increased in accordance with the attached schedules. The regular hourly rate for each employee shall increase three percent (3%) effective the second pay of August, 2015, for 12-month employees, and the first pay of September, 2015, for all other employees; three percent (3%) effective the second pay of August 2016, for 12-month employees, and the first pay of September, 2016, for all other employees; three percent (3%) effective the second pay of August 2017, for 12-month employees, and the first pay of September, 2017, for all other employees; zero percent (0%) effective the second pay of August 2018, for 12-month employees, and the first pay of September, 2018, for all other employees;
2. Members of the bargaining unit will be compensated over the course of the year in twenty-six (26) equal biweekly pays. Direct deposit of pay shall be mandatory for all employees. When school is in session, deposit notices shall be given to the bargaining unit members no later than noon of the pay date. When school is not in session, deposit notices shall be mailed no later than Wednesday preceding the pay date.
3. Bargaining unit members will be notified before altering pay. This notification will be provided verbally or in writing to the Association President.
