Tuition Fee Waiver. The Board shall grant tuition fee waivers to the maximum extent allowed in accordance with the Rules of the State Board of Education.

Tuition Fee Waiver. 1. The College shall pay 75% of the cost of a degree program for any full time bargaining unit member who has been employed with the College for five (5) years or longer, provided the program is in the member’s field or work-related and there is reasonably available and adequate funding – as determined by the College in good faith.
2. Immediate family members of full time bargaining unit members at the College shall receive free tuition at Belmont College.

2.2.1.1. The instructor, Coordinator and Vice President must agree to the enrolment of retirees in courses with no surplus capacity. Where an instructor agrees to the enrolment of a retiree, the retiree shall not be considered to be a student for the purposes of 6.
2.2.1. Surplus capacity exists if after the last day for students to add courses the course does not have an enrolment equal to the maximum shown in the College’s registration system. The amount of surplus capacity shall be the difference between the number of non-retiree students enrolled and the maximum number of students allowed. This provision does not apply to the Eldercollege.
9.13.2 Nothing in the foregoing shall be construed as limiting in any fashion the College’s right to cancel any course at its discretion. In the case of credit-free courses, the employee shall be entitled to the waiver only after the minimum enrolment has been met by fee payers. There shall be no waiver for non-tuition costs such as travel costs for field trips, excursions and tours, or for supplies required.
9.13.3 In the case of credit courses that are offered on a cost recoverable basis or that have a cost-recoverable component to them, only the amount of tuition equivalent to the fees for a regular base funded credit course shall be waived; and additional tuition costs must be paid by the employee.

Tuition Fee Waiver. 47.01 During an academic year, the spouse and each dependent child of an Employee shall be eligible for a tuition fee waiver relating to credit courses taken at the University in an amount of:
(i) $330.00 in the case of a Regular Full-time Employee or a Sessional Full-time Employee or
(ii) $165.00 in the case of a Regular or Sessional Part-time Employee and a Recurring Part-time Employee provided:
(a) the spouse or dependent child satisfies all academic and registration requirements and also pays such other general compulsory fees as are normally assessable to students.
(b) the Employee provides evidence satisfactory to the Board that the child is a dependent. A child shall be considered a dependent child if, during the period for which tuition fee waiver is being sought, such child is included as an eligible dependent on the same Alberta Health Care registration as the Employee. The Board in its discretion may accept proof of child dependency other than the inclusion of the child on the Alberta Health Care registration.
(c) the Employee has completed one year or more of continuous service before the application for tuition fee waiver. Normally, no spouse or dependent child shall be eligible for more than one tuition fee waiver benefit in respect of any one academic year. However, if both spouses are Employees, each spouse has full access to the benefits of this Article.
47.02 Where the spouse or dependent child is enrolled as a full-time student, any unspent portion of the tuition fee waiver may be carried forward and added to a subsequent year's entitlement during the four-year period commencing with the year in which the spouse or dependent child first registers as a full-time student.
47.03 Graduate student programme fees shall not be subject to tuition fee waiver unless credit courses are taken. In such cases, the graduate per course tuition fee shall be used to determine the value of the tuition fee waiver, subject to the maximum of $330.00 per academic year.
47.04 The amount of the tuition fee waived for a spouse or dependent child will be reported as a taxable benefit on the Employee's Revenue Canada T4 information slip for the year in which the waiver is made.
Tuition Fee Waiver. A. Career and potential-career librarians appointed at fifty percent (50%) or more of full time, who are residents of the State of California, and who meet the admission requirements of the University, are eligible for a two-thirds (2/3) reduction of both the University Student Services Fee and the University Tuition, for up to nine (9) units or three (3) regular session University courses per quarter, or up to six (6) units or two (2) regular session University courses per semester, whichever is greater.
B. Eligibility for partial tuition/fee reductions for other University courses, including but not limited to University extension courses and courses offered by programs subject to the Policy on Self-Supporting Graduate Degree Programs, is at the discretion of the University.
C. Disputes arising from this Article regarding admission and residence requirements shall not be subject to the Grievance and Arbitration procedures of this Agreement.
