Vacation Schedule for First Year of Service. Each employee shall receive the following annual leave with the right to take days as they are accumulated. Levels three (3) to seven (7) days per month Levels eight (8) and higher days per month Annual vacation shall be earned monthly at the rate of 1/12 of the employee’s annual vacation entitlement; such vacation entitlement will be calculated, according to number of years service from date of hire, as follows: On an employee’s 25th anniversary date, shall be granted an additional working days leave with pay that year only. Employees in levels to inclusive shall receive working days vacation up to years of service and shall receive working days vacation after years of service. The Employer reserves the right to schedule annual vacations to meet its operational requirements, but agrees to consider the wishes of employees, and to resolve conflicts between employees’ wishes on a seniority basis within their organizational unit. Such requests shall not be unreasonably denied. An employee will not be allowed to exercise seniority rights to make a second selection of vacation period after the vacation schedule for group has been agreed upon. When a statutory holiday is observed during an employee’s annual vacation, the employee will not record it as a day of annual leave but will observe it as a regular statutory holiday. Where an employee on vacation can prove that was incapacitated due to serious illness or accident, shall be allowed to claim sick leave for the period is incapacitated or to the extent that has sick leave accumulated and shall not lose vacation time. An employee may not accumulate annual leave in excess of thirty (30) days. In special circumstances and upon written application to the employee’s supervisor, with a copy to the Director of Human Resources, an employee may be permitted to accumulate earned annual leave up to a maximum of forty (40) days for a special extended vacation. Employees may request and obtain information regarding annual vacation credits from Human Resources or their supervisor on an as required basis. An employee is required to report annual leave taken, by completing a monthly leave report and submitting it to supervisor.

The following shall apply to employees providing instruction in adult education programs in these districts: Continuing Education employees in the Adult Education High School Completion Program (credit courses) and Adult Education Academic Upgrading Programs (Adult Basic Education, General Education Development, Pre-General Education Development, Literacy and Adult Education English Language Programs). Employees teaching Adult Education academic programs including: High School Completion Program, Pathfinder High School Completion Program, Academic Business Education Program, General Equivalency Diploma Program, Adult Basic Education Program, Adult English as a Second Language Program, and Adult Special Education Program, in the Continuing Education Division.

  • Vacation Eligibility Subject to the provisions of Sections 3., 4., 8., and 9. hereof, vacations with pay shall be granted during the vacation year to each employee, except upon dismissal for misconduct, who shall have completed a period of six (6)-months’ employment since date of engagement or reengagement, whichever is later, and who has performed work for the Company within the vacation year, as follows: a. However, if such additional industry vacation time off is granted to an employee, such time off shall be counted as time worked for the purpose of computing the employee's earned vacation benefits on his next anniversary date of employment.

  • Compensation Schedule Except as otherwise provided herein, employees shall be compensated within the pay range assigned to the classification of the position in which they are employed and in accordance with the pertinent conditions of employment enumerated in this Agreement. Sec. 503 REGULAR PAY DAY: Employees shall be paid on or about the Friday following the end of the biweekly payroll period.

  • HOLIDAY COMPENSATION FOR TIME WORKED Employees required by their respective appointing officers to work on any of the above specified or substitute holidays, excepting Fridays observed as holidays in lieu of holidays falling on Saturday, shall be paid extra compensation of one additional day's pay at time- and-one-half the usual rate in the amount of 12 hours pay for 8 hours worked or a proportionate amount for less than 8 hours worked provided, however, that at the employee's request and with the approval of the appointing officer, an employee may be granted compensatory time off in lieu of paid overtime as provided for elsewhere in this contract. 127. Executive, administrative and professional employees designated in the Annual Salary Ordinance with the "Z" symbol shall not receive extra compensation for holiday work but may be granted time off equivalent to the time worked at the rate of-one-and-one-half times for work on the holiday.
