Vehicle Standards. In addition to the Federal Motor Vehicle Safety requirements in 49 Code of Regulations, part 571 and Florida Statutes, following vehicle standards apply to for-hire vehicles other than TNC Vehicles operated under the provisions of this article. It is the operator’s responsibility to ensure that each vehicle meets the following standards and minimum inspection requirements. A certified mechanic, listed in this permit Agreement (Exhibit 4 – Transportation for Hire Inspection Locations), must perform the initial inspection required to receive the annual permit. The required inspection must not be more than 120 days old or the inspection will not be accepted. Subsequent inspections during the permit year will be conducted by airport operations.
(1) Brakes within allowable parameters as provide by test equipment readings for stopping effectiveness. There shall be no leaks in lines, hoses, fittings, or parts; hoses shall not be cracked or frayed.
(2) Inside rear-view mirror and mirror on both sides of vehicle.
(3) A functioning speedometer and odometer indicating speed in miles per hour and a functioning odometer indicating distance in miles.
(4) Functioning windows, door handles, and latches. The primary and secondary hood/trunk/rear access door latches shall be fully operating.
(5) A functioning interior light within the passenger compartment. If the light becomes defective, the operator must correct the defect on the very next day or remove the vehicle from service at that time.
(6) An operating air conditioner system that provides cooled and heated air. If the air conditioning system becomes inoperable, the vehicle must be removed from service until such system is repaired. System should be capable of controlling the temperature of the interior of the vehicle between 68- 78 degrees.
(7) The vehicle exterior must be free of grime, oil, or other substances and free from cracks, breaks, dents and damaged paint that detracts the overall appearance of the vehicle and that could harm, injure, soil, or impair the passenger or personal belongings.
(8) Equipped with hubcaps or wheel covers, on all four (4) wheels. If not on vehicle, the operator must put them on vehicle the very next day.
(9) Bumper/moldings/guards shall be installed/ replaced as originally manufactured except for molding on side panel doors. Moldings must not be loose or missing.

Vehicle Standards. Concessionaire shall maintain a fleet adequate in number to meet all reasonable demands for the services offered by Concessionaire. Vehicles shall be models of the current year, or the year immediately prior to the current year. All vehicles shall be maintained in good and safe operating order, free from any known mechanical defects, and be in clean, neat, and attractive condition inside and outside. Concessionaire shall furnish good, prompt, and efficient service. All vehicles shall comply with the height restrictions of the Joint-Use Facility.
Vehicle Standards. For each time the Authority or its Taxicab Dispatcher observes one of the Contractor’s taxicabs that is on-duty (on-duty is defined as a vehicle observed transporting a passenger or staged in the Taxi Surge Lot or Terminal Loading Area) and that does not meet the vehicle standards set forth within this contract, liquidated damages may be assessed to the Contractor, at the option of the Contracting Officer, in the amount of one hundred dollars ($100.00) for each observation.
Vehicle Standards. Vehicles shall comply with all of the Requirements contained in Chapter 30 and 31 of the Code of Miami-Dade County, pertinent state statutes and other directives as may be prescribed and required by DTPW/PTRD. All vehicles utilized to provide transportation services authorized by this Agreement shall at all times display a current and valid county permit and shall comply with safety, mechanical and vehicular requirements mandated by applicable county, state or federal requirements, including ADA.
Vehicle Standards. The Association shall designate a representative to meet with management to make recommendations on the selection, equipping and replacement of vehicles.
Vehicle Standards a. Vehicles must have proper permits to operating within the area to deliver services required by OAR 410-136-3040, this Agreement and/or the Provider Manual.
b. Provider shall ensure that every vehicle operated in the State in connection with this Agreement is maintained for the comfort and safety of the Participants. The vehicles shall meet the following requirements:
i. The interior of the vehicle shall be clean;
ii. Smoking shall not be permitted in the vehicle at any time;
iii. Provider shall comply with the appropriate local, state and federal transportation safety standards regarding passenger safety and comfort;
iv. All vehicles must be in good operating condition and shall include, but is not limited to:
1. If the vehicle is legally required to provide safety belts, safety belts for all size passengers and at least two seat belt extenders;
2. Side and rear view mirrors, which will include at least two exterior rear view mirrors, one on each side of the vehicle as well as one interior mirror for monitoring the passenger compartment
3. A horn;
4. Working turn signals, headlights, taillights and windshield wipers
5. Accurate operating speedometer and odometer;
6. Two-way communication system to link all vehicles to Provider’s place of business;
7. Mirrors;
8. Wiring and battery;
9. Service and parking brakes; and
10. Heating and air conditioning systems.
11. A first aid kit;
12. A fire extinguisher;
13. Roadside reflective or warning devices;
14. Chains or other traction devices (when appropriate);
15. Disposable gloves;
16. A "spill kit' that includes liquid spill absorbent, latex or other impermeable gloves, hazardous waste disposal bags, scrub brush, disinfectant and deodorizer, this includes appropriate means to handle blood borne pathogens;
17. At least one seat belt cutter that is kept within easy reach of the driver for use in emergency situations; 18. Functioning flashlight and an ice scraper;
Vehicle Standards. Collection vehicles must be in compliance with all applicable air pollution control laws, including but not limited to Article 4 of Chapter 1, Division 3, Title 13, of the California Code of Regulations. All automated and front-load collection vehicles operating in the City pursuant to this Agreement must exclusively use “alternative fuel”, as that term is defined in Section 2020 of Article 4 of Chapter 1, Division 3, Title 13, of the California Code of Regulations. Each vehicle shall be so constructed and used so that no Solid Waste, Recyclables, oil, grease or other material will blow, fall, or leak out of the vehicle. All Solid Waste and Recyclables shall be transported by means of vehicles equipped with water-tight bodies and close-fitting metal covers. Any Solid Waste or Recyclables dropped or spilled in collection, transfer or transportation shall be immediately cleaned up or removed by Collector. A broom, absorbent, a shovel, and bucket shall be carried at all times on each vehicle for this purpose. Collector shall report spills to the City (Public Works Department-Environmental Services) and remediate spills immediately in accordance with NPDES requirements.
Vehicle Standards. The vehicle has a valid inspection sticker and must be covered by Third Party Liability and Accident Benefits in the amount of at least $ 2 million. • The vehicle must be equipped with winter tires between November 1 and April 30.

Vehicle Standards a. Vehicles must adhere to the vehicle standards set forth in the Client Contract, Provider Manual and any applicable provisions of state or federal law.
b. Vehicles must have proper permits and licenses to operate within the area to deliver services required by this Agreement.
c. Provider shall ensure that every vehicle operating in connection with this Agreement is in first class operating condition, and meets the vehicle specifications in Client Contract and Provider Manual and shall be maintained in this condition throughout the life of this Contract.
d. Vehicles must meet state, federal, local and manufacturer’s safety and mechanical operating and maintenance standards for the vehicle. All vehicles and equipment must be maintained and operated in accordance with the manufacturers' state and federal safety and mechanical operating and maintenance standards.
i. Any vehicle found noncompliant with the following inspection standards: I l l i n o i s licensing requirements, safety standards, I l l i n o i s Highway and Transportation Department, or ADA regulations, or other state or federal laws or regulations shall be immediately removed from service and shall pass a re-inspection before it may be used to provide transportation services for Participants under this Agreement.
ii. Vehicles shall comply with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) Accessibility Specifications for Transportation as well as Federal Transit Administration (FTA) and Department of Transportation regulations, as and if applicable for the type of vehicle utilized by Provider.
e. Provider shall utilize only its own leased or owned vehicles that are registered with First and shall not sublet, subcontract or arrange for transportation under this Agreement from any third party.
