Volunteer Fire Fighters. Tilbury, Comber and Merlin Volunteer Firefighters, and Rescue Divers will be permitted to leave or call into the plant at any time they are called or paged to perform fire-fighting or rescue/recov- ery work, and will be paid at the applicable rate and not charged E-days. Volunteer Firefighters from other than Tilbury, Comber and Mer- lin will be permitted to leave or call into the plant at any time they are called or paged to perform firefighting or rescue/recovery work, and will not be paid for such time. Privileged parking spaces will be made available.
Volunteer Fire Fighters. Team Members who are volunteer fire fighters with an official fire department shall document this status with the Company and keep this information updated at all times. If such Team Members are paged to respond to a fire-related emergency, they may leave the plant provided that they notify the supervisor prior to leaving the plant. This is an unpaid leave, and shall be for a maximum of the balance of the work week in which they were paged.
Volunteer Fire Fighters. An employee who is a member of a Volunteer Fire Department shall advise the Board. Those employees who are called out for a fire emergency during working hours shall notify their immediate Supervisor and shall suffer no loss of wages or benefits under the Collective Agreement. Custodial and Maintenance employees when working with no immediate Supervisor present shall be exempt from notification until after the emergency has been dealt with.
Volunteer Fire Fighters. Employees who are volunteer fire fighters shall be paid for scheduled work hours missed due to actual firefighting including travel time.
Volunteer Fire Fighters. 13.1 A volunteer fire fighter may be granted permission to leave work without suffering any loss in compensation when a local emergency involving the fire company of which he is a member, is of such an extreme nature that all available fire fighters of the fire company are needed.

The employee shall receive pay only for such time spent on a volunteer fire call, subject to review by his/her supervisor.

The Town reserves the right to limit the amount of calls should the work load deem necessary at the sole discretion of the Department Head. Any volunteer fire fighter that meets the above requirements that has spent the night fighting a fire, shall not need to report to work until an agreed amount of time with the Department Head for resting purposes.

Springettsbury and Spring Garden acknowledge the vital role and contribution volunteer fire fighters and companies play in the overall municipal fire protection and service provided to local municipalities.
