General Health and Safety. 23.01 The parties of this Agreement agree to work together and co-operate in accident control and prevention. On job sites with five (5) workers or less, any employee will report to the xxxxxxx for corrective action of any unsafe conditions which are brought to his attention and on no account shall any employees be discharged for not working under unsafe conditions.
23.02 An employee who, during working hours, suffers a compensable injury and is required to leave for treatment, or is sent home for such injury, shall receive payment for the remainder of the shift at his regular rate of pay.
23.03 The Employer shall, at his expense, furnish to any work person injured in his employment who is in need of it, immediate conveyance to a hospital or to a physician. It is further agreed that an ambulance shall be used where necessary and possible.
23.04 The Employer shall, as a condition of employment, be required to wear a safety helmet and safety goggles of a type approved by the CSA. If the employee comes to work and does not have his own CSA approved safety helmet, then the Employer agrees said helmet shall be supplied to him at a reasonable cost to the employee which will be reimbursed upon return of said equipment.
23.05 All protective clothing and equipment required by law for the work being performed shall be provided by the Employer and shall remain the property of the Employer. A charge may be applied by the Employer for said clothing providing the employee is reimbursed upon returning said clothing. Should said protective clothing and safety equipment need to be replaced due to wear and tear, there will be no charge for any replacement.
23.06 On every project, the Employer shall provide a sanitary place of shelter with tables and benches which is separate from the other trades and equipment to all employees covered under this Agreement. The place of shelter shall be heated during cold weather.
23.07 The Employer shall also provide a safe place for employees to keep their tools that is separate from the lunchroom and it shall be kept locked at all times when employees take their tools out. Security during working hours shall be the responsibility of the Employer.
23.08 Properly cooled drinking water and toilet facilities shall be provided as soon as possible at the work site. General Health and Safety. 22.01 When gunite, paint removing, painting, coating, grinding, sandblasting, waterblasting, using any chemicals, or work of a dirty or dusty nature is being performed; required and approved (By Law) respiration protection and protective clothing and equipment will be provided by the Employer and shall remain the property of the employer.
22.02 The Current Occupational Health and Safety Act, Workers Compensation Act, Labour Relations Act, Employment Standards Act, and the Employment Equity Act shall be considered as part of this Agreement.
22.03 Each Employer shall provide a sanitary place of shelter (separate from the other trades and equipment) with tables and benches on any project to all employees covered under this agreement. This place of shelter shall be heated during cold weather. The Employer shall also provide a safe place for Employees to keep their tools (separate from lunchroom) and it shall be kept locked at all times when Employees take their tools out. Security during working hours shall be the responsibility of the Employees.

22.05:1 The Employer agrees that all employees will be allowed a coffee break of a maximum of fifteen (15) minutes duration during the hours of work in each half of their respective working shifts.
22.05:2 The Employees shall be allowed fifteen (15) minutes time each day without loss of pay before quitting time for wash-up, clean-up, and packing tools, etc. However, employees must not leave the job site before the end of their shift.

2. The Company will provide de-identified weekly O.J.I. detail reports to the MEC Air, Health, Safety, and Security Chair, or his/her designee. The Company will supply the results of any health or safety surveys conducted which affect Flight Attendants as they become available to the Company. The Chair will make written recommendations to the Company's Director of Safety.
3. The Company and the MEC Air, Health, Safety, and Security Chair shall meet quarterly, or at other times by mutual agreement, to discuss matters relating to Flight Attendant safety.
4. The Company shall provide a safe and healthy work place in compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
5. Air contamination and noise level information, if monitored by government agencies and furnished to the Company, will be furnished to the MEC Air, Health, Safety, and Security Chair.
6. Universal Precautions Kits will be available on all Company aircraft for emergency use by the Flight Attendant in flight. A flight will not be delayed or canceled due to the lack of a Universal Precautions Kit. Universal Precautions Kits will be replaced as soon as possible.
7. In the event that a Flight Attendant is exposed to a Blood borne Pathogen or Other Potentially Infectious Material (OPIM) while on duty, the Company will offer testing and treatments recommended by the treating physician, at no cost to the Flight Attendant, within twenty-four (24) hours after the exposure, as outlined in the Company's Universal Precautions Plan.
8. The Company will maintain aircraft environmental systems to FAA standards. A Flight Attendant who is scheduled to work on an aircraft with environmental systems that have been deferred will be notified of the problem prior to its first flight and all flights thereafter, until the malfunction is repaired.
9. Upon presentation of receipts, the Company will reimburse a Flight Attendant for the cost of any vaccinations and/or Immunizations required to perform his/her duties as a Flight Attendant.

22.1 You will take all reasonable steps to ensure your own health and safety, and the health and safety of others in the Room, Flat and Communal Areas

The Contractor must ensure that its personnel assigned under this Contract, and the personnel of the State Contractor and all Subcontractors have received the appropriate level of health and safety training as specified by all applicable laws. The Contractor must be responsible for the health and safety of its employees, and the employees of the State Contractor, and all Subcontractors in connection with the work performed under this Contract. The Contractor must have a copy of the project specific Health and Safety Plan available upon request at the project site. Site Security Plans will be developed as needed. The Contractor is responsible to assure the Contractor, Subcontractor, and the State Contractor follow the Contractor’s Health and Safety Plan. The Contractor must notify the Project Manager of non-performance or health and safety concerns. The Contractor may be assigned to function as an incident specific safety officer for the purposes of creating a Site Safety Plan, evaluating health and safety issues at a site, and providing information and recommendations to the Authorized Representative.

D) Methods to protect from fall hazards:
a. Trade Partner must provide full fall protection at exposed falls of 6 foot or greater.
b. The full body harness, lanyards and connection points shall be as provided under Federal, State, and/or Local safety related laws or regulations. The lanyard(s) shall be securely attached to the employee’s harness and appropriate connection point 100% of the time while the exposure exists.
c. The Trade Partner will provide safety rails as required to maintain safety.
d. Trade Partner shall be responsible for replacement of safety rails that are removed or damaged in connection with his work.
