Accumulation of Vacation Credit. Vacation leave credits may not be accumulated in excess of forty (40) days. Any employee who loses vacation credit through the fault of the College will receive compensation for the vacation time lost.

Accumulation of Vacation Credit. After the first six (6) months of employment, 12 Nurses will be credited with and able to take up to six (6) days of vacation 13 leave. Thereafter, at the end of each month, the Nurse will be credited with 14 the vacation he/she has earned during the preceding month in accordance 15 with the accrual rates in the above table, prorated on a monthly basis. 16 Vacation shall be scheduled in accordance with Section 6.4, but accumulated 17 vacation carryover from year to year may not exceed a total of two (2) years 18 accumulation. Any Nurse reaching the maximum accumulation shall be 19 notified not later than thirty (30) days before the anniversary date. The Nurse 20 shall then make arrangements within the department to utilize some of the 21 accumulated vacation. If there is a bona fide reason why vacation has 22 accumulated and cannot be taken prior to reaching the maximum point, the 23 Nurse will submit a special request in writing to the department requesting 24 permission to carry over the accumulated vacation for a specified period of 25 time. For this purpose, a bona fide reason includes, but is not limited to, the 26 following: a shortage of staff to allow the time off request; the time period 1 requested is already schedule off by other staff and cannot be duplicated; or

Use of Vacation Leave Credit: Vacation leave may not be taken prior to accrual thereof. Vacation leave shall be taken at such times as may be approved by the President or designated officer. Employees will be notified in writing of approval or denial of their vacation leave request no later than ten (10) work-days from the date of the request. No charge to vacation leave shall be made with respect to a day during which an employee would not otherwise have been required to work, such as bank holidays or special days designated by the County.

  • Accumulation of Vacation Vacation leave may be accumulated to any amount provided that once during each fiscal year, each supervisor's accumulation must be reduced to two hundred and seventy-five (275) hours or less. If this is not accomplished on or before the last day of the fiscal year, the amount of vacation shall automatically be reduced to two hundred seventy-five (275) hours at the end of the fiscal year. Supervisors on a Military Leave under Appendix I shall earn vacation leave as though actually employed, without regard to the maximum accumulation set forth above. Vacation earned in excess of the maximum accumulation shall be taken within two (2) years of the date the supervisor returns from the Military Leave.

  • Vacation Credits All employees shall participate in the County’s Terminal Pay Plan (Plan). However, only the terminal paychecks (including unused vacation) of those employees who have reached the age of fifty-five (55) shall be placed into the Plan. These terminal paychecks shall be placed into the Plan on a pre-tax basis in accordance with the Plan, all applicable laws and all rules and regulations applicable to the Plan.

  • Vacation Accrual Regular employees shall accrue hours of vacation with pay for each hour of compensation to a maximum of eighty (80) hours per biweekly work period according to the following schedule, commencing with the employee's hire date of his latest period of County employment.
