ADMINISTRATOR EMPLOYMENT. Nothing contained in this Article will in any way limit the authority of the Committee or designee to hire any person it chooses. If, however, the Committee makes the decision to hire an administrator for a Unit B bargaining position, the following conditions will prevail:
A. Unit B will have representation on any Committee formed to establish or change an evaluation document for any administrative positions. The representatives will be named by the Unit B negotiations chairperson.
B. Upon employment in Chicopee, subsequent to the effective date of this Agreement, every administrator will be placed on the salary schedule as defined in Appendix A.
C. Previously accumulated unused leave days will be restored to all returning administrators who have continuously been engaged in teaching or in administrative educational work, who have continuously been in the Armed Services or in the Peace Corps or Teacher Corps, or who have continuously been engaged in similar activities.

ADMINISTRATOR EMPLOYMENT. SECTION 1
SECTION 2 In addition to the provisions of Section 1 above, any person appointed to a position within the scope of this Agreement will have his/her prior administrative experience evaluated and may receive credit on the salary schedule for prior administrative experience, regardless of when such experience shall have been gained.
ADMINISTRATOR EMPLOYMENT. The Board agrees that it shall direct its Superintendent to offer contracts for the next school year to those members of the Association already employed who are to be reemployed for the following year, not later than April 30th of the current year, to the extent possible. However, failure to do so shall not be deemed to create any contractual obligation not otherwise specifically provided by law.
ADMINISTRATOR EMPLOYMENT. 7.01 Administrators must provide at least thirty (30) days notice to the Superintendent of their intention to resign. In addition, administrators resigning shall participate in an exit interview with the Superintendent of Schools or their designee.

ADMINISTRATOR EMPLOYMENT. When employing new administrators, the Superintendent of Schools is to place the administrator on the appropriate step in the salary schedule, taking into consideration the following:
1. Degree status.
2. Previous administrative experience--either public school or private school acceptable to the Superintendent who shall not reasonably withhold such acceptance--provided such experience shall have been continuous service of more than one-half (1/2) of any school year.
3. Military service.
4. Vista and/or Peace Corps service.
5. Any person appointed to a position within the scope of this Agreement will have his prior administrative experience evaluated and may receive credit on the salary schedule for prior administrative experience regardless of when such experience shall have been granted.
6. Administrators and others currently employed by the Westfield Public Schools will, when promoted, suffer no loss of earnings. Such administrators will be placed at the lowest salary step of the new position, which is consistent with this no loss of earnings concept.
ADMINISTRATOR EMPLOYMENT. Administrators hired with a letter of eligibility issued by the New Jersey Department of Education will be reimbursed by the Board for one-half (1/2) of the costs required for completion of state certification as an Administrator, provided the Administrator continues to be employed as an Administrator in the District for three (3) years.
ADMINISTRATOR EMPLOYMENT. Administrators with previous administrative experience in the Upper Cape Cod Regional Vocational-Technical School District, if rehired, will upon returning to the system receive full credit on the salary schedule of all outside school administration experience gained as a full-time employee. Administrators who have not been engaged in administration employment on a full- time basis, will, if rehired, upon returning to the system be restored to the next position on the salary schedule above that which they left, provided, however, it is not within the same school year which they have left. Previously accumulated sick leave days will be restored to such returning Administrators. An employee covered by this Agreement who intends to resign must provide the Committee a written notification to do so at least thirty (30) days prior to the effective date of the resignation.
