ARTICLE IX - SENIORITY. 9.01 Seniority, as referred to in this Agreement, shall mean length of continuous service of employees who are in the bargaining unit and shall include service with the Board, which would have fallen within the bargaining unit description of the parties' Recognition Clause, prior to the certification of the Union. Seniority shall be used in determining preference or priority for promotion, transfer, demotion, layoff, permanent reduction of the work force, and recall, as set out in other provisions of this Agreement. Seniority shall operate on a bargaining unit wide basis.

ARTICLE IX - SENIORITY. 9.01 Seniority is each employee's service in the employ of the Company established only after completion of his probation as provided in 9.02 hereof, and applied on a plant- wide basis.
ARTICLE IX - SENIORITY. 9.01 a) An employee will be considered on probation and will not be subject to the seniority provisions of this Agreement until he has completed seventy-five (75) calendar days of employment with the Company in the six month period immediately following the commencement date of his employment. Upon completion of such probationary period, the employee's name will be placed on the seniority list with seniority dating from the date seventy-five (75) calendar days prior to the date on which he completed the probationary period. It is understood that the release of a probationary employee shall not be the subject of a grievance. Where two or more employees commence employment on the same date, the affected employees will be placed on the seniority list in alphabetical order, with the employee ranked highest deemed to be the senior employee. Employees, hired after October 1, 1990, commencing employment on the same date will be placed on the seniority list according to the time of hiring, with the employee hired first deemed to be the senior employee.
ARTICLE IX - SENIORITY. WOLVERINE STAFF SHALL BE PLACED ON THE SENIORITY LIST BASED ON THEIR ORIGINAL HIRE DATE AT THE WOLVERINE FACILITY. The provisions of Article IX of the Master Agreement, shall not apply. The following Seniority provisions will apply:
ARTICLE IX - SENIORITY. SECTION 9.1 Seniority, for all purposes under this Agreement, shall be measured from the employee's last date of hire into the bargaining unit classification covered by this Agreement. The relative seniority of employees with the same seniority date within a classification shall be determined by the employee's social security number; the employee with the lowest social security number shall have the greatest seniority. Unless otherwise expressly provided, seniority shall accumulate unless broken as provided in Section 9.5 of this Agreement. A former employee shall be considered as a new applicant and shall receive no credit for former seniority which was forfeited by termination of former employment.
ARTICLE IX - SENIORITY. 9.01 An employee shall not have any seniority and shall be considered as a probationary employee until he shall have attained seniority status by actually working a total of ninety [90] working days within a consecutive twelve [12] month period. Until a probationary employee attains seniority status, as hereinbefore provided, his name shall not appear on any seniority list and he shall have no seniority. Upon completion of the probationary period, the employee's name shall be added to the seniority list dating from the most recent date of hire. Employees’ starting on the earlier shift will have a preference in seniority over employees’ starting at a later shift. In the case where both employees start on the same day and the same shift, seniority will be decided by a coin toss.
ARTICLE IX - SENIORITY. 9.01 Seniority, as referred to in this Agreement, shall mean length of continuous service based on the number of hours paid to employees who are in the bargaining unit and shall include service with the Board, which would have fallen within the bargaining unit description of the parties' Recognition Clause, prior to the certification of the Union. Effective April 1, 2001, all Permanent Part-Time Employees shall accumulate a minimum of twenty-four (24) hours seniority for each calendar week they remain in the employ of the employer, provided any such employee performs work for any hours in that week. Seniority shall be used in determining preference or priority for promotion, transfer, demotion, layoff, permanent reduction of the work force, and recall, as set out in other provisions of this Agreement. Seniority shall operate on a bargaining unit wide basis in accordance with Article 9.03.

Seniority rosters may be maintained by the Chiefon the basis of time in grade and time within specific classifications.
ARTICLE IX - SENIORITY. 9.01 In recognition of the discrepancies between the starting dates of the two amalgamating Boards for the school years 1992-1998, the date for first day worked will be adjusted for placement on the seniority list to be the same for both amalgamating Boards and other members of the bargaining unit would then be placed on the seniority list relative to the adjusted first day worked.
ARTICLE IX - SENIORITY. Upon successful completion of a probationary period of sixty (60) calendar days, seniority will revert to date of hire. An individual employee whose achievement and performance during the sixty (60) day probationary period are, in the opinion of management, marginal or untested may be notified by management that the probationary period will be extended for up to an additional sixty (60) days. The additional sixty (60) day period shall not be used automatically for all new employees. Probationary employees will not be included on the overtime rotation until the end of the probationary period but may be utilized if necessary as determined by the Supervisor. For purpose of this Agreement, classification seniority shall be defined as an employee’s length of continuous full-time service as contained in the designated classifications under this Agreement. Newly hired probationary employee shall not be included as part of the seniority until they have successfully completed the sixty (60) day probationary period. For purposes of determining seniority, all employees shall be placed in one of the following classifications based on their current assignments:
