ASBESTOS AWARENESS TRAINING. The Employer agrees that it will, within three months of the commencement of this Agreement, schedule the nationally accredited asbestos awareness training course, for each Employee covered by this Agreement. Further, the Employer agrees that it will, within three months of each new Employee commencing employment, ensure that the Employee successfully completes the nationally accredited asbestos awareness training course mentioned in clause 18.7 above. The Employer will bear all costs associated with the provision of the training, including costs and material costs and the provision of the Employee's wages for the period of the training. The course referred to in clause 18.7 above will be 10279NAT Identification and Awareness of Asbestos Containing The Queensland Government Building and Construction Training Policy applies to all Projects, which amongst other requirements, provides a formula for a minimum allocation of employment of apprentices and trainees (new entrants only) and workforce training the Project.

The course and provider of the training will be agreed with the Consultative Committee and parties to the agreement.
ASBESTOS AWARENESS TRAINING. At the request of the OCO the Contractor shall ensure that all employees, including replacement workers, receive asbestos training and refresher training in accordance with CFR 40-763 xxxx://xxx.xxxxxx.xxx.xxx/nara/cfr/waisidz _06/40cfr763_06.html and 29 CFR 1910. The Contractor shall follow all instructions for each asbestos class job as outlined in 29 CFR 1910. The training shall be conducted, at no additional expense to the Government, at least 60 calendar days after the start date of the Contract. The Contractor shall submit written certification to the CO or their designee within 5 days of the completion of training.
ASBESTOS AWARENESS TRAINING. (a) The Company agrees to schedule an agreed accredited asbestos awareness training course for every Health and Safety Representative and Union Delegate. (b) Training will be undertaken within six months of the commencement of this Agreement for each Health and Safety Representative and Union delegate who has not already participated in the training and as soon as is practical for all new Health and Safety Representatives and Union Delegates elected after this time. Failure to do so shall mean that such policy cannot be used against them. (b) Notwithstanding the above, the following Drug and Alcohol principles may apply: (i) Where practicable, self-testing shall be available for alcohol. (ii) Drug testing may be undertaken by oral fluid testing. The equipment used to perform the test shall be used, tested and calibrated to the manufacturer's instructions and certified to AS 4760 (Processes for specimen collection and the detection and quantitation of drug in oral fluid). In the event drug testing utilises other than oral fluid testing, this shall be carried out in accordance with AS/NZS 4308:2008. (iii) Alcohol testing may only be done by use of an Accredited Breath Test device. The device must be calibrated and meet the minimum requirements of AS3547. (c) Drug and Alcohol testing shall not be used to unfairly target Employees. (d) Any disputes in relation to, or in connection with Drug and Alcohol policies, testing and/or principles, are within the scope of, and shall be dealt with via, the dispute resolution procedure. (e) The Company Drug and Alcohol Policy and Drug and Alcohol Procedure apply to all Employees.
ASBESTOS AWARENESS TRAINING. IAW 29 CFR 1910.1101, all personnel that may come into contact with asbestos while performing work duties must attend OSHA asbestos awareness training annually. This training is targeted for employees who may disturb asbestos containing materials while performing normal work duties. This includes all operations and maintenance employees (electrician, plumber, and HVAC system), and facility coordinators.

  • Safety Training Pursuant to Missouri Revised Statute Section 292.675, Contractors and subcontractors who sign a contract to work on public works projects must provide a 10-hour OSHA construction safety program, or similar program approved by the Department of Labor and Industrial Relations, to be completed by their on-site employees within sixty (60) days of beginning work on the construction project. Contractors and subcontractors in violation of this provision will forfeit to the public body $2,500 plus $100 a day for each employee who is employed without training. Public bodies and contractors may withhold/assess these penalties from the payment due to those contractors and subcontractors if found to be in non-compliance.

  • Industrial Relations Training Leave Union Delegate/Employee Representative shall have access to industrial relations training in accordance with Appendix E hereof.

  • Research Independence The Company acknowledges that each Underwriter’s research analysts and research departments, if any, are required to be independent from their respective investment banking divisions and are subject to certain regulations and internal policies, and that such Underwriter’s research analysts may hold and make statements or investment recommendations and/or publish research reports with respect to the Company and/or the offering that differ from the views of its investment bankers. The Company hereby waives and releases, to the fullest extent permitted by law, any claims that the Company may have against such Underwriter with respect to any conflict of interest that may arise from the fact that the views expressed by their independent research analysts and research departments may be different from or inconsistent with the views or advice communicated to the Company by such Underwriter’s investment banking divisions. The Company acknowledges that the Representative is a full service securities firm and as such from time to time, subject to applicable securities laws, may effect transactions for its own account or the account of its customers and hold long or short position in debt or equity securities of the Company.

  • First Aid Training In the interests of the occupational safety and health of employees, the Employer will undertake an in-service program of first aid training aimed at providing a first aid officer for each department.

  • Plagiarism The appropriation of another person's ideas, processes, results, or words without giving appropriate credit.

  • BEREAVEMENT/TANGIHANGA LEAVE 18.1 The employer shall approve special bereavement leave on pay for an employee to discharge any obligation and/or to pay respects to a deceased person with whom the employee has had a close association. Such obligations may exist because of blood or family ties or because of particular cultural requirements such as attendance at all or part of a tangihanga (or its equivalent). The length of time off shall be at the discretion of the employer. 18.2 If a bereavement occurs while an employee is absent on annual leave, sick leave on pay, or other special leave on pay, such leave may be interrupted and bereavement leave granted in terms of 18.1 above. This provision will not apply if the employee is on leave without pay. 18.3 In granting time off and for how long, the employer must administer these provisions in a culturally sensitive manner.

  • Safety Boots Each employee, after 3 months’ continuous service, will be reimbursed (on production of a receipt), the cost of one pair of safety boots (approved by the employer), in each year, to a maximum of $110.00. All protective clothing such as wet weather jackets, safety helmets, welding jackets, welding xxxxxxx, welding gauntlets, rubber boots, etc, (which remain the property of the Company), will be supplied on all occasions deemed necessary.

  • Training and Orientation (a) No employee shall be required to work on any job or operate any piece of equipment until he/she has received proper training and instruction. (b) The Employer shall provide sufficient and adequate training and/or orientation to any employee working in a new or unfamiliar work area or position.

  • Medical Care Leave An Employee who is unable to make the necessary arrangements for maintenance of personal health care outside of scheduled work time, shall be granted time off with pay. Such time off shall not exceed sixteen (16) working hours per calendar year. Hours in excess of sixteen (16) hours per calendar year shall be deducted from the Employee's sick leave accumulation.
