Training Policy. The Co-op will provide and pay for Driver CPC training to all eligible colleagues. As part of this the Co-op will also cover Driver licence, Driver digital card and CPC card renewal costs but not where there is loss or damage of cards.
Training Policy. The Society and Trade Union, in partnership, are fundamentally committed to providing progressive business related training in line with our commitment to Investors in People. All Staff will receive twice yearly development reviews with their direct line Manager / Supervisor and Training will be delivered in accordance with the needs and priorities identified by Management. Both the Society and the Trade Union are committed to the training of elected Trade Union Representatives and Managers in the conduct of good Industrial Relations practice. A copy of the Society Training Policy is posted on notice boards at all units and is included as Appendix 5.
Training Policy. It is the intent of the Parties of the Agreement to conduct a safe operation. Working practices shall be governed by the Federal Regulations and the Province of British Columbia insofar as they apply. The Parties agree that the Employer shall continue to train Conductors and Engineers until all employees in Rail Operations are trained. The Parties further agree a minimum average of 2 Engineers and 3 Conductors per calendar year will be trained. The training of Conductors would involve the standard 5 weeks of training and the Engineer will involve the standard 200 hours plus one day for examination. The training period (of 5 weeks or 200 hours) may be reduced by mutual agreement of the Union, the Employer and the trainee. Once everyone is broken in to their positions, the Company does not need to keep hiring employees in operations to maintain the quota of training 2 engineers and 3 conductors in a calendar year. In any case the Company will not be obligated to hire additional employees to train for these positions.
Training Policy. Multi-annual professional training policies and associated budgets shall include the short and medium term objectives expressed in the GPEC, especially for the activities mentioned in the introduction to this agreement, senior employees and apprentices. To obtain additional financing (from SUEZ and/or interbranches or Business Units, or externally) and to forward plan for the improved versatility of employees, multi-annual training courses shall be planned in compliance with national regulations.
Training Policy. 1.1 The Federation has a responsibility to increase and improve the quality of the employment related skills of staff and officers. Employment related skills includes a skill used, or that may be used, by a person in the course of holding any office position or appointment performing any functions or duties, engaging in any work, or doing anything that results in or from the person being an employee of the NSW Teachers Federation.
1.2 As the union movement responds to changes in society, and technological change and associated work reorganisation is implemented, the Federation will require continuous training to ensure it has a highly skilled workforce. The training activities we undertake are a crucial element of the union’s ability to manage change.
1.3 The Federation’s Training Program has been developed within the context of award restructuring, multi skilling and affirmative action to:
1.3.1 identify the priority training needs of the Federation, and of staff and officers;
1.3.2 identify required skills, knowledge and competencies;
1.3.3 investigate ways to improve career opportunities for staff and officers;
1.3.4 support the right of officers and staff to self nominate for training;
1.3.5 formulate expected outcomes of the program i.e. the objectives or skills to be obtained by training;
1.3.6 clearly identify the means and time frame for achieving the objectives of the training program;
1.3.7 regularly evaluate and report on the effectiveness of the training program.
1.4 The Training Committee will maintain accessible records of training and expenditure. A system will be utilised to indicate how the training funds have been allocated, and documentation will also be kept showing what training has been undertaken and by whom; what skills have been taught, and who the training providers are.
Training Policy. The Company agrees to provide an education and training program under Human Resources, as provided below. Company funded training or reimbursement for approved educational costs may constitute a taxable benefit to the Employee under Canadian taxation laws. The successful completion of appropriate training courses will be a requirement for promotion in designated
Training Policy. La Center seeks, within the limits of available resources, to offer training to increase its employees' skill, knowledge and abilities directly relating to the employee’s job description, to obtain or maintain required licenses and certifications, and to develop staff resources. Opportunities may include: on-the-job training, in-house workshops, and seminars sponsored by other agencies or organizations. Employees are encouraged to work with their supervisor to identify appropriate or needed training programs to assist employees in improving job performance or expanding on their job duties. For many departments, employees shall be cross trained to perform a variety of tasks, to allow the City to provide uninterrupted services in the event of an employee’s absence, whether such absence is long or short term. Cross training also helps all employees to assist each other in times of high work load. Each Department Head is responsible for identifying needed cross training functions, and demonstrating his or her department is capable of functioning, even while the Department Head is away from work.
Training Policy. Further training is encouraged by ATP Environmental Pty Ltd. If an employee undertakes further training that is in the best interests of the company, the employer may offer support in the following ways:
(i) If the employee has been directed by the employer to undertake training, training costs and wages will be paid by the employer or at the discretion of the supervisor.
(ii) If an employee undertakes optional training, the employer may pay for the course and/or the employee’s time, upon mutual agreement.

Training Policy. Training and development of employees within the USMS is a matter of significant importance. To improve employee performance and delivery of services to USMS clients, the Employer and Union agree to encourage and assist employees in developing and following a plan of self-development.
