Paid Personal Time. All full-time non-probationary employees covered by this Agreement shall be credited with eighty (80) hours of paid personal time on January 1 of each year. Probationary employees will not be eligible for paid personal time benefits until they have completed six (6) months of service. Upon completion of six (6) months of service an employee will be credited with a pro- rata amount of paid personal time equal to eighty (80) hours times his or her months of employment prior to January 1, divided by twelve (12). Employees whose first six (6) months of employment overlap January 1 of any year will be credited with eighty (80) hours of personal time after completion of six (6) months of service. Personal time shall be available for use by employees in the Bargaining unit for the following purposes, as well as general personal use:
Paid Personal Time. A. Except for those specific types of paid leave set forth in the preceding Article XV, all paid time off for any other purpose, including but not limited to time off for holidays, vacation, other emergency, and other personal reasons, shall be in accordance with the provisions of this Article XVI.
Paid Personal Time a. All full-time employees covered by this Agreement who have completed six (6) months of service with the Employer shall be credited with ten (10) paid personal time days on January 1 of each year.

Paid Personal Time. Employees initially are accorded fifty-six (56) hours of paid personal time after completion of 520 hours of straight-time employment and thereafter on the occurrence of their current benefit date during each calendar year. Beginning January 1, 2007, employees will be accorded sixty-four (64) hours of paid personal time after completion of 520 hours of straight-time employment and thereafter on the occurrence of their current benefit date during each calendar year. The intended use of such time is for legitimate purposes as medical (doctor, dentist and short- term illness), business, legal, or other personal matters. Approval must be obtained from the department prior to utilizing personal time on the standard Request for Time Off Form, except in emergency situations. In cases where multiple requests for personal days are received from employees, which cannot be granted due to efficiency of operations and/or staffing requirements, the department will honor said requests on a first-come, first-served basis; unless said requests are received on the same date, in which case seniority shall prevail. If not utilized, personal time will accumulate indefinitely and have no monetary value upon separation from employment with Genesee County, for whatever reason. The Employer reserves the right to require that employees who are unexpectedly absent from work, furnish satisfactory proof that the unexpected absence was for reasonable cause. In cases where the Employer has cause to believe that employees are abusing time off from work provisions, disciplinary action will result. No further explanations other than "medical," "business," "legal," or "other personal matters" shall be required when the request for personal days is submitted for prior approval, unless abuse is suspected. Nothing in the above provisions shall abrogate the employee's responsibility to comply with departmental procedures concerning prior notification of absence from work.
Paid Personal Time. A) Regular full-time employees receive six (6) paid personal time days for each payroll calendar year (from the start of the first full pay period of each calendar year and ending twenty-six (26) pay periods later);

In cases where multiple requests for personal days are received from employees, which cannot be granted due to efficiency of operations and/or staffing requirements, the Department Head will honor said requests on a first-come, first-served basis; unless said requests are received on the same date, in which case seniority shall prevail. Employees must also comply with departmental procedures concerning prior notification of absence from work. The Employer reserves the right to require that employees absent from work furnish satisfactory proof that the absence was for reasonable cause.
Paid Personal Time. A. Unit employees who have completed the requisite years of service in the School District, as set forth below, by June 30 of any fiscal year, shall be entitled to paid personal time commencing the next year, as follows: Years of Service 2010-2013 2 Years 45 hours 5 Years 50 hours 8 Years 60 hours The foregoing entitlements are non-cumulative.

Paid Personal Time. 17.1 Employees with less than fifteen years service shall accrue one and twenty-three hundredths (1.23) hours Paid Personal Time (“PPT”) for each credited work week up to a maximum one hundred twenty-eight (128) hours. Employees with more than fifteen years service shall accrue one and thirty-nine hundredths (1.39) hours PPT for each credited work week up to a maximum one hundred twenty-eight (128) hours. Accrued Paid Personal Time is authorized for use after satisfactorily completing the employee’s probationary period. A credited work week is defined as a week in which an employee is paid, by the Company, wages for time worked, holiday pay, jury duty pay, military pay differential, Paid Personal Time or vacation pay.
