Basic Rates of Pay. The basic rates of pay for the occupations covered by this Agreement are set forth in Appendix Where a new occupation is added to the unit, the basic rate of pay and wage schedule applicable to that occupation shall be determined by the Company. The Association shall be notified by the Company of the basic rate of pay and new or amended wage schedule applicable to that occupation. The basic rates of pay for employees who work less than the basic hours per week shall not be less than the pro rata proportion of the basic rates of pay hereby established. The time interval from one (1) step to the next on the wage schedules shall be six (6) months. The time interval shall begin, for an employee who is engaged or re-engaged:

Basic Rates of Pay. The minimum basic rates of pay are shown in Appendix A and shall apply from the date the Agreement is lodged with the Office of the Employment Advocate. The Company reserves the right to offer a job candidate a higher rate of pay than that shown in the table. The higher rate would be based on the candidate’s qualifications and level of experience, and on the availability of skilled labour and market demand at the time the offer is made.

Basic Rates of Pay. 6.1 Basic rates of pay of positions covered by this agreement shall be as shown in the Schedule of Rates of Pay and shall be known as the S.E.S Group Rate of Pay which are part of this agreement. (a) Employees entering the service will be compensated as follows: 1st 12 months of cumulative compensated service (CCS) will be at 90% of the job rate, thereafter at 100% of the job rate. (b) An employee subject to paragraph (a) above, will, when entering a different position in the same bargaining unit, be compensated at the same percentage of the job rate of the position being entered as s/he was receiving in the position being vacated. Service in the position vacated will be counted as service in the position entered for purposes of application of paragraph (a). 6.2 For the purpose of calculating hourly rates, weekly rates shall be divided by forty. Basic Rates of Pay. The following salary is hereby adopted by the Employer, and shall govern compensation during the years July 1, 2019 to June 30, 2021. Employees shall move across the salary schedule, one step each year. New employees with a minimum of six (6) months of clerical experience with the District prior to July 1 shall advance to the next step on July 1.
