Cancellation of Classes. The school reserves the right to cancel a starting class if the number of students enrolling is insufficient. Such a cancellation will be considered a rejection by the school and will entitle the student to a full refund of all money paid.
Cancellation of Classes. Employees will not be assigned by the College to teach a class or perform duties on a day on which the College cancels classes for students.
Cancellation of Classes. On-campus University classes will not be cancelled unless emergency conditions are so severe that the entire University, except for essential services, should be closed. The decision to close the main campus will be made only by the president or his/her designee.

The University shall provide written notice of class cancellation, in addition to any verbal notice that may be provided, to both the bargaining unit member and United Academic- Adjuncts. Failure to provide written notice does not result in continuation of employment. If a full-term Fall or Spring semester class is cancelled within ten working days prior to the first meeting, a bargaining unit member who has signed and returned a written appointment letter, and completed all required training, shall receive compensation equal to the compensation that would have been received in one pay period for the cancelled class. If a full-term Fall or Spring semester class is cancelled earlier than ten working days no compensation for cancellation is due. Unit members may petition their Xxxx/Director or designee for compensation of preparation work that was performed for a class cancelled prior to ten working days before the class was scheduled to begin. If a class is cancelled at or after the first meeting, the bargaining unit member will receive pro rata compensation based on the number of classes taught out of the total number of classes scheduled. In addition, the bargaining unit member shall receive the compensation that would have been received in one pay period for the cancelled class. If a bargaining unit member who has not been issued an appointment letter is requested to and meets the first class and the class is subsequently cancelled, the bargaining unit member will be provided compensation according to this paragraph. If compensation is due under these provisions for an accelerated course, compensation will be limited as follows: if cancelled before the second meeting, one-seventh of the compensation due for the full course; if cancelled at or after the second meeting, pro rata compensation for the number of classes taught. An accelerated course is defined as a course compressed into a time period of less than a full academic year semester. These amounts shall be considered liquidated damages and the bargaining unit member shall have no further claim against the university, nor shall the cancellation be subject to the dispute resolution provisions of this agreement. Cancellation of Classes. On the fifth (5th) day of Summer School, and any time thereafter, classes which have not reached District specified minimum enrollment may be cancelled. Any teacher who receives notice of appointment to teach Summer School, attends the faculty meeting and reports to his/her assignment would be assured of at least the first day’s employment.
Cancellation of Classes. If the seminary cancels or discontinues a class, the seminary will make full refund of all charges. Refunds will be paid within 30 days of cancellation or withdrawal. A student has the right to withdraw from school at any time and receive a refund for that part of the course not taken, for which the student paid.

In case of cancellation of the class for any other reason, such as the instructor falling ill, a new course will be scheduled and all payments will be transferred. Any participant may be dismissed from the program for insufficient progress, non-payment of tuition, or non-attendance. No tuition will be refunded. Reinstatement following dismissal is at the discretion of the instructor. While KTC has a very high success rate in our MLD Certification Courses, occasionally, a student is unable to satisfactorily pass the written and/or practical exams. Failing students will not receive a Certificate of Completion. However, they will be allowed to repeat the course one (1) additional time within one (1) year at no tuition expense to re-learn the concepts of MLD and attempt to satisfactorily complete the exams. Should the participant fail to retake the course within one (1) year from the time of the original course or fail to complete the course successfully a second time, the student will be required to pay full course tuition again if they choose to retake the course at a later time. Any tuition discount for a student repeating the course a third time is at the sole discretion of the instructor.
Cancellation of Classes. 3.5.1 Whenever possible, as determined by the District, affected non-tenure track employees shall be notified at least thirty (30) days in advance if classes or programs are to be terminated due to circumstances other than lack of enrollment.
3.5.2 The District shall provide as much notice as the District determines is practical to advise affected non-tenure instructors that classes/programs are to be terminated as a result of lack of enrollment.
