Carry Over of Vacation Credits. An employee shall be entitled to carry over up to a maximum of five (5) working daysannual vacation. Upon written request to the Administrator of Human Resources, an employee may be granted approval to carry over more than five (5) days vacation leave. The request should include the reasons for the carry over, and the recommendation of the immediate supervisor.

Carry Over of Vacation Credits. Upon request an employee shall be permitted to carry forward into another year any unused portion of his/her vacation credits. The unused portion of vacation credits carried over shall not be taken between the 1st day of June and the 30th day of September unless permission is granted by the City. Notwithstanding the foregoing, the amount of vacation that an employee may carry over to the next year shall not exceed that employee's normal annual entitlement and thus the maximum amount of vacation that shall be due to any employee at any time is limited to twice his/her annual entitlement.

Carry Over of Vacation Credits. An employee, with the approval of the employee’s supervisor, may elect to carry over vacation credits earned in a calendar year to the subsequent calendar year not to exceed one hundred twenty (120) hours. It is not the intention of the City Council to disadvantage employees covered under the incentive program with regards to earned but unused vacation credits. Consequently, employees who have accumulated vacation and carried the vacation days forward to the current year shall maintain that entitlement, but shall endeavor, with the approval of the employee’s supervisor, to take such entitlement within six months. Department heads shall submit to the City Administrator the names and vacation days carried forward of each employee in this category, together with a schedule as to when these days are to be taken.   • Vacation Carry Over (a) A regular employee may carry over up to five (5) days vacation leave per year except that such vacation carryover shall not exceed ten (10) days at any time.
