Sreet Division of the Public Works Department - A list of clothing provided to Street Division employees includes: 1. Reflective winter coats (1 coat every two years) 2. Orange t-shirts (three shirts per year) 3. Safety colored hats (two per year) and 4. Upon request will supply the following equipment: leather gloves, rain gear, goggles, face xxxxxxx, ear muffs and rubber boots. Street Division employees will receive a clothing allowance according to the following schedule, which shall be reimbursed by appropriate receipt and increased to: $310.00 - July 1, 2019 $315.00 - July 1, 2020 $320.00 - July 1, 2021 $325.00 - July 1, 2022 City will make several sets of hip waders available for the use of members of Street Division crews during work projects. B. Signing/Striping Division ofthe Public Works Department: Rather than furnish and maintain clothing items for signing and striping employees, the Employer will allow each regular full-time signing and striping employee to have a $375.00 clothing allowance for FY20, $380.00 for FY21, $385.00 for FY22 and $390.00 for FY23. C. Welding gloves will be provided when necessary for work performance. D. Reimbursements for clothing shall be paid in the same or following pay period that receipts were submitted. E. The Employer agrees to reimburse employees $30.00 per month during the term of this Agreement for employees' use of personal cell phones for work related purposes.

CLOTHING AND ALLOWANCES. The Employer agrees to furnish and maintain the following clothing items: Fleet Maintenance Department: The City will provide Employees with safety vests and five (5) pair of coveralls or five (5) uniforms as needed for each mechanic. City will provide one reflective winter coat every two years if necessary to replace. Fleet Maintenance mechanics shall individually have an option each year prior to when orders are placed to select either coveralls or uniforms from a uniform and/or cleaning service provider selected by the City. Fleet Maintenance employees will receive clothing allowances of $300.00 for FY24 plus an additional $15.00 each successive year of the agreement. Reimbursements by appropriate receipt. The City will have cutting goggles available for the workers and provide welding gloves to each employee when necessary for work performance. The City will provide up to a maximum of$400.00 every two years (odd- numbered calendar years) for prescription safety glasses in Fleet Maintenance, as well as $200.00 every two years (even-numbered calendar years) for prescription glass lenses contingent on division head approval. Reimbursements for clothing shall be paid in the same or following pay period that receipts were submitted.   • PAY AND ALLOWANCES 8.1 The regular rate of pay for each position in the bargaining unit shall remain as provided in the Salary Schedule found in Appendix A of this Agreement. 8.2 All employees in the bargaining unit shall be paid once per month. Checks will normally be delivered on the last working day of the month except if the normal pay date falls on a holiday the paycheck shall be issued on the preceding workday. 8.3 Any payroll error resulting in insufficient payment for an employee shall be corrected and a supplemental check issued not later than five (5) working days after the employee provides notice to the payroll department. 8.4 Any paycheck for an employee which is lost, or not delivered within five (5) days if mailed, shall be replaced as soon as practicable following the employees' notification to the payroll department of the check's disappearance. 8.5 Any employee who receives a change to a higher classification shall be placed on the appropriate range and step of the new classification which will insure at least a five (5) percent increase in pay as a result of the change in classification when step and range allows. 8.6 Any employee in the bargaining unit required to use his/her vehicle on District business shall be reimbursed at the rate approved by IRS per mile for all miles driven on behalf of the District. 8.7 Longevity schedule shall be as follows: 10 years of service, $25.00 monthly; 15 years of service, $35.00 monthly; 20 years of service $45.00 monthly; 25 years of service, $55.00 monthly; and 30 years of service at $65.00 per month shall be paid. 8.8 Employees working normally only on days when school is in session shall have their salaries computed on the number of paid days, including vacation and holidays, and paid in ten (10) equal payments unless otherwise requested by the employee. Days worked in excess shall be compensated at the regular or overtime rate whichever is applicable. 8.9 Any employee in the bargaining unit who, as a result of work assignment, must have meals or lodging away from the District shall be reimbursed for the full cost of the meals or be provided meals by the District. The guidelines for meals and lodging shall be based upon Board Policy #3350 and Regulation 3350. 8.10 The District will pay the agreed upon contribution to PERS for all classified regular employees working 20 hours per week or more. 8.11 Should the cost of the total PERS payment on behalf of covered employees in the classified service exceed 18.00% in any year, covered employees will pay any amount in excess of 18.00% not to exceed a total of 7.0%. Employees hired after July 1, 2011, shall pay the full employee share of PERS (seven percent – 7.0%). 8.12 Designation of 10, 11, and 12 Month Employees: Ten (10) month employees work either 149, 166, 180, 186, 190, 193, or 195 contract workdays. Eleven (11) month employees work either 200 or 205 contract workdays. Twelve (12) month employees work 260 contract workdays. 8.13 In any year where the work year consists of 261 possible workdays for twelve month employees, the work calendar for those employees shall be modified so that there totals only 260 days. One day shall be considered a non-work, non-paid day to be taken with the approval of the immediate supervisor. 8.14 The salary schedule for classified employees shall be increased by two percent (2%) effective July 1, 2018. In addition, an off-schedule bonus in the amount of three percent (3%) will be paid on the adjusted 2018/2019 salary schedule. Payment for the 2018-2019 year will be paid by June 30, 2019. One percent (1.0%) of the above referenced off-schedule bonus is in consideration for two (2) Professional Development Days added to the 2019-2020 work year. All employees will receive two (2) additional workdays at their normal rate of pay. This is clarified below: 12 month employees - 262 paid workdays at their normal rate of pay 11 month employees - 2 additional workdays at their normal rate of pay 10 month employees - 2 additional workdays at their normal rate of pay 8.15 The District shall provide a one percent (1.0%) off-schedule payment each year that the instructional calendar calls for 181 days of student instruction. 8.16 The salary schedule for classified employees shall be increased by three percent (3%) effective July 1, 2021. In addition, a one-time off schedule payment of $2,000 for employees whose contracted hours are 5 hours or more per day. Employees whose contracted hours are less than 5 hours per day shall receive a one-time payment of $1,000.00.

  • Wages and Allowances The wages contained herein at Clause 7 – Wages Schedules will be in lieu of the wages described in other Appendices of this Agreement but are to be read in conjunction with Clause 4 of this Appendix. The allowances will apply as contained in Appendix A unless mentioned otherwise in this Appendix. 3.1 An employee working under this Appendix will receive the wage rates and allowances as described below when employed in the cottage sector/ commercial for service and maintenance only or as otherwise agreed by the parties, that is, the employer, the ETU and the majority of employees.

  • CLOTHING AND EQUIPMENT (a) Employees required by the Employer to wear uniforms will be supplied with an adequate number of uniforms appropriate to the occupation free of cost to Employees. Such items are to remain the property of the Employer and be laundered and maintained by such Employer free of cost to the Employee. (b) Instead of the provision of such uniforms, the Employer may, by agreement with the Employee, pay such Employee a uniform allowance at the rate set out in Item 1 of Table 5. This rate is expressed as per shift or part thereof, or as a weekly rate – an Employee is to be paid whichever is the lesser amount. (c) Where an Employee’s uniforms are not laundered by or at the expense of the Employer, the Employee will be paid a laundry allowance. For Aged Care, Health Professionals and Home Care Employees this will be paid at the rate set out in Item 2 of Table 5. This allowance is also expressed as a payment per shift of part thereof of as a weekly payment – an Employee is to be paid whichever is the lesser amount. For Nursing Employees this will be paid at the rate set out in Item 3 of Table 5. (d) The uniform allowance, but not the laundry allowance, will be paid during all absences on paid leave, except absences on long service leave and absence on personal/carer’s leave beyond 21 days. Where, prior to the taking of leave, an Employee was paid a uniform allowance other than at the weekly rate, the rate to be paid during absence on leave will be the average of the allowance paid during the four weeks immediately preceding the taking of leave. (e) Where an Employer requires an Employee to wear rubber gloves, special clothing or where safety equipment is required for the work performed by an Employee, the Employer must reimburse the Employee for the cost of purchasing such special clothing or safety equipment, except where such clothing or equipment is provided by the Employer.
