DATES OF OCCUPANCY. A. Fall semester opening is generally the Saturday prior to the first day of classes of the fall semester. Fall semester closing is generally within 24 hours after the resident’s last exam and no later than 12:00 noon on the day following finals completion.

The Academic Year is defined as fall move-in through spring finals week. Termination of occupancy prior to the end of the academic year may result in checkout penalties and contract breakage fee.

DATES OF OCCUPANCY. A STUDENT may occupy his/her assigned space from the date designated as the official opening of campus housing to the date designated as the end of the residential academic year (Fall and Spring semesters) in the University Academic Calendar and billing cycle. If a student applies for Summer semester, the terms of this agreement are extended until the end of the summer residential semester, as per the academic calendar. Students contracted for housing prior to the last day of registration will be held responsible for the payment for the entire term, regardless of when they check in. Students contracted for housing after the last day of registration will be charged a pro- rated amount equal to the number of days remaining in the semester(s). Residence Halls and the Dining Hall will close for the Christmas Break and between Spring & Summer semesters. The residence halls will close and re-open according to a published schedule (Academic Calendar). All students must make alternative arrangements, at their expense, for housing during periods of Residence Hall closure. In some (few) cases, early check-in or late check-out may be granted at an additional $25 per day, which must be paid in advance. B-CU Housing and Residence Life has the right to place students where most suitable for operations during these times. Meal plans will not be available if this accommodation is extended.
DATES OF OCCUPANCY. 4.1 Move In I may move into my assigned room no earlier than the first move-in date listed in the Housing Calendar. The University will not hold my room for me beyond the first day of classes unless I notify the University in writing of my intention to occupy the room at a later date and the University approves the alternate date. The University will not issue any refunds for the period the room is held unoccupied. My failure to occupy the assigned room does not release me from the financial responsibilities of this Contract.
DATES OF OCCUPANCY. Unit occupancy is based on an academic year, consisting of two semesters (fall and spring) running from August to May, with specific occupancy and termination dates to be assigned by College Village. In the event that a student’s occupancy starts at a date later than the start of the fall semester it shall conclude at the end of the spring semester in May. The Complex is closed during break and recess periods falling during the Term, and are therefore unavailable for occupancy by the student. Written requests for occupancy during these periods must be made 30 days prior to the start of the break. At College Village’s discretion, additional housing fees may apply for occupancy during such periods.
DATES OF OCCUPANCY. Occupancy shall mean the Student’s acceptance of assigned accommodations by officially checking into the University Residence Hall by following a prescribed process. DATES OF OCCUPANCY. A. Students who have finalized an assignment for the semester may occupy the assigned space during the dates determined and published by RL&L unless otherwise having been granted approval as an early arrival or late stay resident. Such arriving early or staying late may be subjected to an additional charge for extension of this Agreement. Graduating students and other students who have assigned responsibilities in graduation will be able to request an extension of their Agreement beyond the standard terms as outlined above.
