Debris Management. This Contract for debris collection, processing and disposal will be on a usage basis for the purpose of having Contractor immediately available and committed to assisting the County in the aftermath of a major disaster. Contractor under this Contract will serve as a general contractor for the purpose of debris collection, processing and disposal operations, and will be able to use its own subcontractor resources to meet the obligations of this Contract. Contractor will work in conjunction with an independent contracted debris monitoring service per State and Federal guidelines. To prevent conflict of interest, monitoring services must not have vested interest in the debris removal contract or contractor. The Contractor shall disclose present and future debris management contractual obligations throughout the term of this Contract and shall provide reasonable assurance to the County that such obligations will not preclude the Contractor potentially performing the required work and meeting its obligation under the Contract. Such disclosure shall be provided to the County in the proposal. The Contractor shall, to the extent practical, give priority to utilizing resources in the County of Orange and the surrounding areas, including but not limited to procuring supplies and equipment, awarding sub-contracts, and employing workers. The Contractor shall identify sub-contractors it intends to use on this Contract and their intended Scope of Work. The Contractor shall furnish copies of Letter of Intent with local sub-contractors with the proposal.

Debris Management. 3.3.1 Planning for debris management operations is a function of Fort Bend County Office of Emergency Management. The Debris Manager, in coordination with the JRJ, will direct the debris removal and disposal operations from the Debris Management Center. 3.3.2 In addition to using County and JRJ forces and equipment, Fort Bend County intends to execute one (but reserves the right to execute more than one) debris removal and disposal contract(s) on a contingency basis for the purpose of having contractor(s) immediately available and committed to assisting Fort Bend County and the JRJ in the aftermath of a major disaster. Each contractor holding a debris removal and disposal contract will serve as a General Contractor for the purpose of debris removal and disposal operations, and will be able to use his/her own and subcontractor resources to meet the obligations of the contract. 3.3.3 When a major disaster occurs or it is imminent, Fort Bend County will contact the firm(s) holding Debris Removal and Disposal Contract(s) to advise them of Fort Bend County’s intent to activate the contract(s). Debris removal will generally be limited to debris in, upon, or brought to public road rights-of-way, municipal properties and facilities, and other public sites. The contractor will be responsible for determining the method and manner of debris removal and lawful disposal operations, consistent with this Scope of Work. Disposal, recycling or reuse of debris and related by-products inside the County’s jurisdictional boundaries shall require written approval of the Debris Manager. The contractor shall be responsible for the lawful disposal of all debris and debris-reduction by- products generated at all TDSR sites. The term debris management site is also frequently used in the business of debris management. For purposes of this contract the terms debris management site and temporary debris staging and reduction (TDSR) site are considered to be synonymous. 3.3.4 When a major disaster occurs or is imminent, Fort Bend County will initially send out an alert to the contractor. This alert will serve to activate the lines of communication between the contractor’s representatives and Fort Bend County and may require the contractor to send an Operations Manager to Fort Bend County within 24 hours to begin planning for operations and mobilization. Debris Management. The OWNER’S Property Manager or OWNER designee will direct the debris removal and disposal operations. The CONTRACTOR will serve as a General Contractor for the purpose of debris removal and disposal operations, and all other infrastructure restoration or rebuilding services, and will be able to use its own and subcontractor resources to meet the obligations of the Contract. It is anticipated that the CONTRACTOR will use both local and non-local subcontractors. When a major disaster occurs or is imminent, the OWNER will contact the CONTRACTOR to advise them of the OWNER'S intent to activate the Contract. Debris removal will generally be limited to debris in, upon, or brought to the OWNER’s private streets and roads, right-of-ways, OWNER’S properties and facilities, and other OWNER sites. The CONTRACTOR will be responsible for determining the method and manner of debris removal and lawful disposal operations. Disposal of debris will be at a lawfully permitted landfill of the CONTRACTOR’S selection, or at a Temporary Debris Management Sites identified by the OWNER. The CONTRACTOR will be responsible for the lawful disposal of all debris and debris-reduction by- products generated at all Temporary Debris Management Sites. When a major disaster occurs or is imminent, the OWNER will initially send out an Alert to the CONTRACTOR. The CONTRACTOR should anticipate receiving the Alert 24 to 72 hours before projected landfall of a hurricane. This Alert will serve to activate the lines of communication between the CONTRACTOR representative and the OWNER. Subsequently, the OWNER will issue a call for the CONTRACTOR to send an Operations Manager to the OWNER within 24 hours of receiving such call to begin planning for the operations and mobilization of the personnel and equipment necessary to perform the work. The general concept of debris removal operations includes multiple, scheduled passes of street right-of-ways. This will allow residents to return to their properties and bring debris to the right- of-way as recovery progresses. The CONTRACTOR may be tasked with removing trees leaning on houses or other structures, rebuild or restore damaged infrastructure, and provide any other disaster response and recovery services as the OWNER may direct. The OWNER will prescribe the specific schedule to be used after ascertaining the scope and nature of the disaster's impacts. Debris Management. Planning Unit 071224 is situated within Alberta’s Fire Control Zone number 44 as identified by Alberta Agriculture and Forestry (AAF). Debris management of the Planning Unit will be accomplished in a manner consistent with Section 7.3 of the OGRs.

  • Traffic Management 9.2.1 During the Operating Period, Developer shall be responsible for the general management of traffic on the Project. Developer shall manage traffic so as to preserve and protect safety of traffic on the Project and Related Transportation Facilities and, to the maximum extent practicable, to avoid disruption, interruption or other adverse effects on traffic flow, throughput or level of service on the Project and Related Transportation Facilities. Developer shall conduct traffic management in accordance with all applicable Technical Provisions, Technical Documents, Laws and Governmental Approvals, and in accordance with the Traffic Management Plan. 9.2.2 Developer shall prepare and submit to TxDOT and the Independent Engineer for TxDOT approval a Traffic Management Plan for managing traffic on the Project and Related Transportation Facilities after the commencement of traffic operations on any portion of the Project, addressing (a) orderly and safe movement and diversion of traffic on Related Transportation Facilities during Project construction, (b) orderly and safe movement of traffic on the Project and (c) orderly and safe diversion of traffic on the Project and Related Transportation Facilities necessary in connection with field maintenance and repair work or Renewal Work or in response to Incidents, Emergencies and lane closures. Developer shall prepare the Traffic Management Plan according to the schedule set forth in the Technical Provisions. The Traffic Management Plan shall comply with the Technical Provisions and Technical Documents concerning traffic management and traffic operations. Developer shall carry out all traffic management during the Term in accordance with the approved Traffic Management Plan. 9.2.3 Developer shall implement the Traffic Management Plan to promote safe and efficient operation of the Project and Related Transportation Facilities at all times during the course of any construction or operation of the Project and during the Utility Adjustment Work. 9.2.4 TxDOT shall have at all times, without obligation or liability to Developer, the right 9.2.4.1 Issue Directive Letters to Developer regarding traffic management 9.2.4.2 Provide on the Project, via message signs or other means consistent with Good Industry Practice, non-Discriminatory traveler and driver information, and other public information (e.g. amber alerts), provided that the means to disseminate such information does not materially interfere with the functioning of the ETCS.

  • Classroom Management The certificated classroom teacher demonstrates in his/her performance a competent level of knowledge and skill in organizing the physical and human elements in the educational setting.

  • Patch Management All workstations, laptops and other systems that process and/or 20 store PHI COUNTY discloses to CONTRACTOR or CONTRACTOR creates, receives, maintains, or 21 transmits on behalf of COUNTY must have critical security patches applied, with system reboot if 22 necessary. There must be a documented patch management process which determines installation 23 timeframe based on risk assessment and vendor recommendations. At a maximum, all applicable 24 patches must be installed within thirty (30) calendar or business days of vendor release. Applications 25 and systems that cannot be patched due to operational reasons must have compensatory controls 26 implemented to minimize risk, where possible.

  • General Management In the discharge of its general duty to manage the successful performance of the Services, Vendor shall: 3.2.1.1. within thirty (30) calendar days of the Effective Date, identify to Citizens the primary and secondary management contacts responsible for the oversight and management of Services for Citizens; 3.2.1.2. ensure Vendor Staff tasked with management and oversight of the Services are available promptly to perform Services during Business Hours; 3.2.1.3. ensure each assigned Adjuster submits a time record directly to Vendor’s manager or point of contact. At any time during this Agreement, Citizens may require copies of time records from Vendor; 3.2.1.4. ensure that no Vendor Staff carries a weapon on their person while performing Services; 3.2.1.5. ensure that no Vendor Staff uses impairing drugs, chemicals, or alcohol while performing Services; 3.2.1.6. ensure that Vendor Staff avoid using their duties and obligations under this Agreement to engage in any conduct that could create either an actual or perceived conflict of interest, such as due to an ongoing business relationship with an entity other than Citizens that would enable Vendor Staff to receive an improper benefit or unfair competitive advantage; 3.2.1.7. ensure that the Services comply with the Best Claims Practices & Estimating Guidelines as applicable to each Service Category and any other policies or processes set forth by Citizens, including but not limited to: a. monitoring applicable file production on a weekly basis to determine compliance with Citizens’ production requirements; and, b. providing detailed reports to Citizens related to Vendor performance upon request.

  • Records Management Records the Provider must keep

  • SITE MANAGEMENT We reserve the right, but not the obligation, to: (1) monitor the Site for violations of these Terms of Use; (2) take appropriate legal action against anyone who, in our sole discretion, violates the law or these Terms of Use, including without limitation, reporting such user to law enforcement authorities; (3) in our sole discretion and without limitation, refuse, restrict access to, limit the availability of, or disable (to the extent technologically feasible) any of your Contributions or any portion thereof; (4) in our sole discretion and without limitation, notice, or liability, to remove from the Site or otherwise disable all files and content that are excessive in size or are in any way burdensome to our systems; and (5) otherwise manage the Site in a manner designed to protect our rights and property and to facilitate the proper functioning of the Site.
