Emergency or Unscheduled Overtime. 1. Emergency or Unscheduled Overtime. A. Reasonable efforts shall be made to have emergency or unscheduled overtime offered to qualified employees already on duty (if there are multiple volunteers, a priority shall be given to higher seniority first, except that a qualified volunteer who is available for a full shift of ordered overtime shall be given priority over volunteers available for only a half shift). B. If not covered by qualified volunteer(s) already on duty, the emergency or unscheduled overtime will be communicated to other qualified employees (using contact information provided by the Union from time to time) by electronic communications broadcast (or other methods agreed to on an individual basis). When emergency overtime is broadcasted for a specific division/job classification, volunteers will be accepted for the first 30 minutes immediately following emergency overtime broadcasts from only the specific division/job classification with the open overtime opportunity (i.e., Corrections/Transport, CRO, Road Patrol). After the initial 30-minute period, any volunteer, regardless of division/job classification may be accepted for the open overtime opportunity. The overtime opportunity will be assigned to the first volunteer(s) to respond, except that a qualified volunteer who is available for a full shift of ordered overtime shall be given priority over volunteers available for only a half shift. As soon as the opportunity is fully covered, no further volunteers will be accepted. C. If not covered by a qualified volunteer, emergency or unscheduled overtime shall be assigned to the least senior qualified and eligible employee already on duty, with due consideration to the circumstances.
Emergency or Unscheduled Overtime. When an employee is requested to perform overtime work in an emergency situation and is held over to perform this work, the City shall pay double (2) times the fire fighter's fifty-three (53) hour rate of pay for each hour worked. When an employee must be recalled (call back) to perform emergency work, the employee shall be paid a minimum of two (2) hours double time at the fifty-three (53) hour overtime rate of pay. However, in a situation where a fire fighter is scheduled to begin work and is called in between the hours of 6:00 a.m. and 8:00 a.m., the fire fighter shall receive a minimum of only two (2) hours of double time at the fire fighter's fifty- three (53) hour rate of pay.

Unless notified otherwise in advance of the scheduled starting time of the scheduled overtime assignment, any employee who is scheduled to report for work and who reports as scheduled shall be assigned at least two (2) hours work. If work is not available, the employee may be excused from duty and paid for two (2) hours at the employee's appropriate rate. If the employee begins work but is excused from duty before completing two (2) hours of work, the employee shall be paid for two (2) hours at the employee's appropriate rate.

  • Daily Overtime All employees shall be paid the applicable overtime rate of time and one-half (1-1/2) for all time worked in excess of eight (8) hours per day.

  • Banked Overtime In the event the day in lieu of working the statutory holiday is not provided as stipulated in 8.01.04, this portion may also be banked.

  • Banking of Overtime (i) Tour Workers who work in excess of eight (8) consecutive hours shall have the option of receiving the overtime premium on the basis of this Section or of receiving straight time for hours in excess of eight (8) consecutive hours and taking equivalent time off in units of not less than four (4) hours at the hourly rate for the job when the work was performed, at a time suitable to the employee and the Company during the contract year. Any overtime remaining at the end of the contract year in which it is banked may be carried over to the next contract year for purposes of taking equivalent time off. If equivalent time off is not taken by the end of the contract year following the contract year in which it is earned, the Company shall pay the deferred one-half premium pay. Tour Workers who choose to bank overtime may later re-elect to receive the deferred one-half premium pay. (ii) Day Workers who work in excess of ten (10) hours in a day shall have the option of receiving the overtime premium on the basis of this Section or of receiving straight time for hours in excess of ten (10) hours in a day and taking equivalent time off in units of not less than four (4) hours at the hourly rate for the job when the work was performed, at a time suitable to the employee and the Company during the contract year. Any overtime remaining at the end of the contract year in which it is banked may be carried over to the next contract year for purposes of taking equivalent time off. If equivalent time off is not taken by the end of the contract year following the contract year in which it is earned, the Company shall pay the deferred one-half premium pay. Day Workers who choose to bank overtime may later re-elect to receive the deferred one-half premium pay. (iii) When the banked time off is requested in writing seven (7) days in advance, employees shall receive written notice of the disposition of their request a minimum of seventy-two

  • Sharing of Overtime Overtime work shall be allocated equitably to qualified employees considering their availability and location.

  • Payment of Overtime For the purposes of calculating overtime payments, each day or shift will stand-alone.

  • Unscheduled Maintenance Unscheduled maintenance may be required to resolve issues that are critical for Customer and/or performance of the Cloud Services. Druva will use its commercially reasonable efforts to notify Customer at least six (6) hours prior to the unscheduled maintenance.
