Employees’ Work Year. 1. The annual salary established for employees covered by this Agreement shall be payable in respect of the employees' regular work year which shall not exceed 195 days in session per school year, inclusive of five (5) non-instructional days and one (1) year- end administrative day and a minimum of 190 days of instruction.

Employees’ Work Year. Bus drivers, child nutrition workers (excluding Child Nutrition Manager II at Independence High School), paraeducators, career center technicians, job training technicians, computer lab aids, science lab aids, vocational ed. technicians, campus monitors and team teaching clerks’ work year shall be determined by the student calendar approved by the Board of Trustees. All other ten-month employees’ work year shall begin pursuant to the approved student calendar, and shall end June 30. The work year for eleven-month employees shall be set no later than April 30.

Employees’ Work Year. A. The teacher work year shall have one hundred eighty-four (184) student instructional days with one (1) day immediately preceding the opening of school. Personnel new to the school district may be required to attend an additional five (5) days of orientation prior to the opening of school. Teachers who have not completed required administrative and clerical responsibilities will be required to return on the day after school closes.

Attendance shall be required for all employees. Professional / In-service Days: Each of the professional development days is a full work day (7 hours) and is required for all employees, including employees working under a partial FTE contract. When a part-time employee is required or allowed to be at work a full day (e.g., District meeting, room prep day and professional days), the employee will be paid their full per diem rate. Conference afternoon: Buildings may agree to hold conferences one evening session in lieu of an afternoon conference session. (A session is defined as an entire set of half-day conferences.) Teachers are not required to be in the building one afternoon if evening conferences are scheduled for the building. Teachers who attend the evening conference schedule would only be charged a half- day of leave if absent on the day teachers are not required to be in the building as explained above. If there are individual teacher conflicts with scheduled night conferences, arrangements will be made with the building principal. There may be, at the school boards’ and administrator’s discretion, additional TRI (time, responsibility, incentive) days scheduled at various times throughout the school year or summer. Any or all of such additional days’ activities may be attended by certificated employees on a voluntary basis. Employees shall be compensated at the average per diem rate based on the state allocation schedule. This figure will be determined by adding the base step per diem and maximum step per diem and dividing by two (2). Hourly rate of pay will be based on a 7-hour work day. Plans for TRI days shall be developed jointly by the District and the Staff.

Employees’ Work Year. Prior to the Board’s adoption of the school calendar for the next succeeding school year, the SEA executive committee shall be given a copy of the proposed calendar and the SEA President shall be given the opportunity to submit recommendations to the Superintendent of Schools. Those recommendations shall be advisory in nature only, and the Board shall make the final decision regarding the school calendar. Employees shall not be required to work more than the minimum number of teacher attendance days required by law (currently 180 days) each school year without extended contract or extra-duty pay.

  • EMPLOYEE WORK YEAR A. In-School Work Year

  • Cyclic Year Employment The Employer may fill a position with a cyclic year appointment for positions scheduled to work less than twelve (12) full months each year, due to known, recurring periods in the annual cycle when the position is not needed. At least fifteen (15) days before the start of each annual cycle, incumbents of cyclic year positions will be informed, in writing, of their scheduled periods of leave without pay in the ensuing cycle. Such periods of leave without pay will not constitute a break in service. When additional work is required of a cyclic position during a period for which the position was scheduled for leave without pay, the temporary work will be offered to the incumbent. The incumbent will be allowed at least three (3) working days in which to accept or decline the offer. Should the incumbent decline the work, it will be offered to other cyclic employees, in the same classification, with the necessary skills and abilities, in order of seniority, before being filled by other means.

  • HOURS OF EMPLOYMENT SEC. 7.01.

  • Project Employment 1. The Employer may appoint employees into project positions for which employment is contingent upon state, federal, local, grant, or other special funding of specific and of time-limited duration. The Employer will notify the employees, in writing, of the expected ending date of the project employment.

  • Employees on Pre-scheduled Leave If an employee is on pre-scheduled leave the day of the closure, the employee will be compensated according to the approved leave.

  • Employee Workload ‌ The Employer shall ensure that an employee’s workload is not unsafe as a result of employee absence(s). Employees may refer safety related workload concerns to the Occupational Health and Safety Committee for investigation under Article 22.3 (Occupational Health and Safety Committee).

  • Work Year The full-time work year for all employees employed in EA and ECE job classes shall be a minimum of 194 work days to correspond with the school year calendar.

  • Part-time Employees Eligible for Holidays 331. Part-time employees who regularly work a minimum of twenty (20) hours in a bi- weekly pay period shall be entitled to holiday pay on a proportionate basis. 332. Regular full-time employees are entitled to 8/80 or 1/10 time off when a holiday falls in a bi-weekly pay period, therefore, part-time employees, as defined in the immediately preceding paragraph, shall receive a holiday based upon the ratio of 1/10 of the total hours regularly worked in a bi-weekly pay period. Holiday time off shall be determined by calculating 1/10 of the hours worked by the part-time employee in the bi-weekly pay period immediately preceding the pay period in which the holiday falls. The computation of holiday time off shall be rounded to the nearest hour.
