Extended Illness Leave/Differential Pay. 7.9.1 During each school year, when a unit member has exhausted all available sick leave, including all accumulated sick leave, and continues to be absent from his or her duties on account of illness or injury for an additional period of up to five school months, or 100 duty days, whichever provides more leave, the District shall deduct from the employee's regular salary for that period the actual cost of a substitute to fill the position, or if no substitute was employed, the amount that would have been paid to a substitute.

Extended Illness Leave/Differential Pay. An employee absents from their duties for reasons of illness or accident for a period of five (5) months or less, from the date of the expiration of their accumulated sick leave, will receive their regular salary, less the amount actually paid a substitute employee to fill their position during their absence. The provisions of this section are limited to a maximum period of five (5) months.
Extended Illness Leave/Differential Pay. A unit member occupying a regular position who is absent from work due to illness and who has exhausted all earned personal sick leave and catastrophic leave (if eligible) may receive differential pay for a period of five (5) months or less. During this period of time, the amount deducted from the salary due the unit member for any month in which the absence occurs shall not exceed the sum actually paid a substitute, or, if no substitute is employed, the amount the substitute would have been paid. During this period the unit member shall receive no less than fifty percent (50%) of regular salary during the period of absence.   • Extended Illness Leave 1. Extended Illness Leave, hereinafter referred to as “EIL” shall be established for Administrative Support Group, XXXX, Clerical, and Educational Assistant personnel who are absent due to their own personal illness or injury following the exhaustion of their accumulated illness, vacation and annual allotment of short term leave. Eligibility for Extended Illness Leave includes completion of employee’s probationary period.

  • Shift Differential Pay A. An employee shall receive additional compensation at the rate of seventy five cents (75¢) per hour for all hours worked on a shift when the majority of hours worked on the shift are between 5:30 p.m. and 7:30 a.m. and in locations where these classes are regularly assigned shift work.

  • Bilingual Differential Pay Bilingual Differential Pay applies to those positions designated by the Department of Personnel Administration as eligible to receive bilingual pay according to the following standards:

  • Shift Differential Compensation Any employee in the bargaining unit whose assigned work shift commences (for unit-1) prior to 5:30 a.m. or whose work shift ends after 5:30 p.m., or (for unit-2 members) commences after 2:00 p.m. shall be paid a shift differential premium of five (5%) percent above the regular rate of pay for all hours worked.

  • Family Illness Leave An employee will be granted leave of absence for up to five (5) days per year without loss of pay or benefits for family illness. Additional family illness leave may be granted by the employer.

  • Extended Illness Sick leave for extended illness (5 or more days) will be paid only during the time period in which a physician certifies the employee to be physically or mentally disabled, and only to the extent of the number of days accumulated.

  • Sick Leave Days Payable at 100% Wages Permanent Employees Subject to paragraphs d), e) and f) below, Employees will be allocated eleven (11) sick days payable at one hundred percent (100%) of wages on the first day of each fiscal year, or the first day of employment.

  • Illness Leave A. Illness is defined as any pronounced deviation from a normal health state which makes it disadvantageous to the District and/or detrimental to the employee for him/her to be at work. This definition shall include emergency medical, dental, optical, and prosthetic work.

  • Shift Differential The shift differential for employees working on assigned shifts which begin before 6:00 A.M. or which end at or after 7:00 P.M. shall be sixty-five cents ($0.65) per hour for all hours worked on that shift. Such shift differential shall be in addition to the employee's regular rate of pay and shall be included in all payroll calculations, but shall not apply during periods of paid leave. Employees working the regular day schedule who are required to work overtime or who are called back to work for special projects shall not be eligible for the shift differential.
