Extra-Curricular Positions. 1. The Employer declares its support of filling vacancies with qualified candidates from within the bargaining unit and from within its own staff, but is solely responsible for the filling of any vacancy.

Extra-Curricular Positions. The administration will make every effort to fill extra curricular positions internally. However, the most qualified candidate will be hired.
Extra-Curricular Positions. The Board of Education and administration welcome District teachers to express their interest regarding any existing or newly created extra-curricular positions for which they are interested. Interest in an extra-curricular position for the following school year can be communicated to the board or administration (Superintendent, District Athletic Director, or Principal) by April 30, regardless of whether or not the position is vacant, and all District teachers are encouraged to make their interest known. Vacancies in existing extra-curricular positions and newly created extra-curricular positions shall be posted as per Sections B and C of Article VI, Vacancies and Transfers. When hiring to fill a newly created or vacant extracurricular position, first consideration will be given to the district employee if all qualifications between district employee and out-of-district applicant are equal. A list of all remaining unfilled extra-curricular positions shall be re-posted no later than the end of the first two (2) weeks of school. Any unfilled extracurricular position will be filled by an applicant. If multiple people apply, the administration may choose the applicant by interview process. It will be the duty of the sponsor to recruit interest for the club. If the club fails to xxxxxx interest among the students, the club will be postponed until the next opportunity arises to initiate the club in the current school year. If the club is not formed in the current school year, the stipend will not be paid to the sponsor and the club will be considered unfilled for the following school year and reposted according to the above contract language. If the Board of Education creates a new extra-curricular position, the Board of Education will bargain with the Xxxxxx Education Association (“REA”) upon demand, regarding the wages, salary, and other conditions of employment for such extra-curricular position. The Board of Education and administration will require the District Athletic Director to make reasonable efforts to complete the head coach’s evaluation for all sports, at least once every two years. Similarly, head coaches will make reasonable efforts to complete the evaluation of their assistant coaches, on the same schedule; however this provision shall not be construed to restrict or deny the Athletic Director the authority to evaluate any District coach or assistant coach.
Extra-Curricular Positions. A. The establishment of new positions can be created by joint recommendation of the building principal and an Association appointed person if minimum student interest can be demonstrated, potential qualified advisor/coaches identified, and ASB requirements met.
Extra-Curricular Positions. Full- time teachers shall be given preference for extra-curricular positions (coaching, summer school, driver education, etc.), unless in the judgment of the Superintendent the applicants are not qualified. If no qualified unit employees apply for such positions, the Superintendent may select from outside the unit. When a unit employee or individual from outside the unit has filled an extracurricular position during the previous school year, he/she shall be given preference for said position unless in the judgment of the Superintendent he/she is not qualified.
Extra-Curricular Positions. The School Board may employ members of the bargaining unit for positions in extra-curricular, co-curricular or other extra duty activities. The position shall be described in a separate contract, together with the terms of the contract, as provided in Attachment G. When an outside organization pays the extra-curricular wage of a teacher in the bargaining unit, the agency shall pay the amount, or prorated portion of the amount, stipulated in Schedule C. The agency shall deposit the amount with the District, and the compensation shall be reflected in the teacher's regular payroll check.
Extra-Curricular Positions. Extra-curricular positions which require certification are those positions which have both a classroom and extended day component and therefore are contractually linked. Any position which in the future doesn’t meet this guideline will no longer be considered an extra-curricular activity and will be excluded from this Bargaining Agreement. (2013)

Extra-Curricular Positions. Extra-Curricular positions shall be paid in accordance with the Extra-Curricular Schedule appended to this Agreement as Schedule “B”. Proposed new positions stipends and selected upgrades shall be determined by representatives of the parties by November 1, 2008.
Extra-Curricular Positions. Each year a list of extra-curricular positions will be circulated to all members of the bargaining unit for consideration. The District wishes to encourage bargaining unit members to apply but the District agrees not to pressure or coerce individuals to do so. Separate contracts shall be issued to each employee for each extracurricular position they hold. These contracts shall be separate from their regular individual contract.

  • Float Positions The Employer may establish regular float positions which are consecutive hour shifts.

Wherever possible the University will endeavor to arrange teaching schedules that avoid excessive numbers of preparations and recognize evening and/or off-campus assignments. Class sizes will be established and monitored by the appropriate academic xxxx in consultation with division chairs and affected faculty each term.
