Faculty Association Rights. A. The Faculty Association shall have the right to guaranteed payroll deduction of membership dues for the representative employee organization, and the Board shall remit such dues to the authorized Association representative if authorized by the employee. It is the responsibility of the Association to obtain written authorization from faculty members so affected. Dues deductions shall be continuous thereafter and only terminated when the member in question follows the revocation process outlined on the Washington Education Association (WEA) enrollment form. Such deductions shall be remitted as directed by the Association.
Faculty Association Rights. 4A. Information Provided by the Parties Upon written request, the District's Chancellor or designee and the Faculty Association shall provide information of a non-confidential nature pertaining to matters which may be of concern and interest to each other. Other information (e.g., District and College budgets) will be provided as long as it is used solely for Faculty Association business.

  • FEDERATION RIGHTS Section 1. In the event the Federation designates a member employee to act in the capacity as official spokesperson for the Federation on any matter, such a designation shall be made in writing and shall specify the period covered by the designation.

  • BOARD OF EDUCATION RIGHTS A. The Board, on its own behalf and on behalf of the electors of the district, hereby retains and reserves unto itself, without limitation, all powers, rights, authority, duties, and responsibilities conferred upon and invested in it by the laws and the Constitution of the State of Michigan, and/or the management and control of school properties, facilities, grades and courses of instruction, materials used for instruction, and the selection, direction, transfer, promotion, demotion, discipline or dismissal of all personnel.

  • TEACHER AND ASSOCIATION RIGHTS A. Pursuant to Act 379 of the Public Acts of 1965, the Board hereby agrees that every member of the recognized bargaining unit shall have the right freely to organize, join, and support the Association for the purpose of engaging in collective bargaining or negotiations and other concerted activities for mutual aid and protection. As a duly elected body exercising government power under color of law of the State of Michigan, the Board undertakes and agrees that it will not directly or indirectly discourage or deprive or coerce any teacher in the enjoyment of any rights conferred by Act 379 or other laws of Michigan or Constitutions of Michigan and the United States; that it will not discriminate against any teacher with respect to hours, wages or any terms or conditions of employment by reason of his/her membership in the Association or any other teacher organization, his/her participation in any activities of the Association or of any other teacher organization, his/her participation in collective professional negotiations with the Board, or his/her institution of any grievance, complaint or proceeding under this Agreement, or otherwise, with respect to any terms or conditions of employment.

  • Hospital-Association Committee (a) There shall be a Hospital-Association Committee comprised of representatives of the Hospital, one of whom shall be the Chief Nursing Officer or designate and of the Association, one of whom shall be the Bargaining Unit President or designate. The number of representatives is set out in the Appendix of Local Provisions and the membership of the Committee may be expanded by mutual agreement.

  • ASSOCIATION RIGHTS AND PRIVILEGES A. The Board agrees to furnish to the Association in response to reasonable requests from time to time, available information in the public domain.

  • Faculty a. All instructors teaching dual credit courses must meet the College’s academic requirements as outlined by SACSCOC Faculty Credentialing requirements, as determined by the College. All instructors teaching dual credit classes at the School site must be approved and hired as faculty by the College prior to teaching dual credit courses. The faculty credentialing process used by the College for faculty on the College site will apply for faculty on the School site. The College will designate staff in the respective discipline to supervise and evaluate the faculty on the School site using the same or comparable procedures used with faculty on the College site.

  • PROFESSORS, TEACHERS AND RESEARCHERS 1. An individual who is a resident of a Contracting State immediately before making a visit to the other Contracting State, and who, at the invitation of any university, college, school or other similar educational institution which is recognized by the competent authority in that other Contracting State, visits that other Contracting State for a period not exceeding two years solely for the purpose of teaching or research or both at such educational institution shall be exempt from tax in that other Contracting State on any remuneration for such teaching or research.

  • HOME OWNERS ASSOCIATION 9.1 It is recorded that a home owners’ association is being established for the benefit of all owners of property in the development and to control and maintain roads, services and amenities within the development.
