ASSOCIATION RIGHTS AND PRIVILEGES. A. There will be no reprisals of any kind taken against any teacher solely by reason of his/her membership in the Association or for participation in any of its lawful activities.
B. The Association will be provided with copies of minutes of public session official Board meetings. The Board will be provided copies of minutes of public session meetings of the Association.
C. The Association may request and shall be given a place on the agenda of all regular Board meetings for brief reports and announcements.
D. The Superintendent shall be available upon reasonable request to meet with representatives of the Association.
E. The principal of each school shall be available upon reasonable request of Association representatives to discuss questions relating to the implementation of this Agreement in his/her school.
F. The Association will be provided with the names and addresses of all new teachers and all retiring teachers as soon as such information is available.
G. The Association will have the right to have placed in the Superintendent’s packet for all new teachers a letter prepared by the Association which informs said teachers that the Association is recognized as the exclusive negotiating representative for all teachers in the Xxxxxx County Public School System.
H. The Association shall be given a place on the agenda of the orientation program for new teachers to explain the function and benefits of membership.
I. In order for the Association to properly fulfill this Agreement for the benefit of all teachers and the welfare of the school system, the Association representative may visit schools and talk with teachers, provided that the exercise of this right will not interfere with the educational program. The Association representative will check in at the front office of the school upon his/her arrival.
J. The Association shall continue to use school buildings without cost at reasonable times for meetings provided the use of the building shall not result in any additional cost to the Board. The principal of the building in question will be notified in advance of the time and place of all such meetings.
K. The Association representative will have the right to schedule meetings of the teachers before or after school work days or at any other times which do not disrupt the normal school program.
L. There will be bulletin board space of appropriate size reserved for the Association, in an appropriate place in each school building, for the purpose of display...
ASSOCIATION RIGHTS AND PRIVILEGES. A. The Board shall grant one (1) day per month of release time at the discretion of the Superintendent to the President of the Association with pay, so that he may perform his functions as President of the Association.
B. The Board shall provide up to three (3) hours per month of release time at the discretion of the Superintendent to an Association representative designated by the Association in each building to perform his functions as Association representative in the enforcement of this Agreement. Said time shall be in addition to regularly scheduled preparation time and lunch period as provided in this Agreement. This time will not be accumulated.
C. The Association and its representatives shall request in writing the right to use the school buildings at all reasonable hours for meetings. The Association shall pay the custodian for opening and being in the building at the time of use. However, if the building is used during the regular time the custodian is on duty, the Association will not have to provide payment. The Principal of the building in question shall be notified in advance of the time and place of such meeting.
D. The Board agrees to make available to the Association, upon request, all information in the public domain in its possession which is needed by the Association to carry out its duty of representation of members of the bargaining unit.
E. Representatives of the Association shall be permitted to transact official Association business on school property after the normal working day.
F. The Association shall have the right to use school facilities and equipment, including typewriters, instructional computers, other duplicating equipment, calculating machines, and all type of audio-visual equipment at reasonable times, when such equipment is not otherwise in use. The Association shall pay for reasonable cost of all materials and supplies incidental to such use.
G. The Association shall have the right to use the inter-school mail facilities and school mail boxes. At no time shall the Association use these facilities for slander material, derogatory materials, job action notices or such against the Board or its representatives.

ASSOCIATION RIGHTS AND PRIVILEGES. A. The Board agrees to furnish to the Association in response to reasonable requests from time to time, all available information concerning the financial resources of the district, including but not limited to; annual financial reports and audits, register of certificated personnel, tentative budgetary requirements and allocations, minutes of all Board meetings, census data, names and addresses of all teachers, and such other information that shall assist the Association in developing intelligent, accurate, informed and constructive programs on behalf of the teachers and their students together with information which may be necessary for the Association to process any grievance or complaint. The Association shall request only information which the Board is required by law to release.
B. Whenever any representatives of the Association or any employee is mutually scheduled by the parties to participate during working hours in negotiations, grievance proceedings, conferences, or meetings he/she shall suffer no loss in pay.
C. Representatives of the Association, the New Jersey Education Association, and the National Education Association shall be permitted to transact official Association business on school property at all reasonable times, provided that this shall not interfere with or interrupt normal school operations.
D. The Association and its representatives shall have the right to request use of school buildings at all reasonable hours for meetings. The principal of the building in question shall be notified in advance of the time and place of such meetings.
E. 1. The Association may have the right to utilize school facilities provided a request for the utilization of such facilities is submitted to the building principal. The request shall enumerate the type of facility that is to be utilized, specifically typewriters, mimeograph machines or duplicating equipment. If the principal determines that the machines are otherwise not engaged and the facilities are available for Association use, the Association may then utilize the equipment provided the Association presents to the principal payment for the cost of all materials and supplies that are to be utilized in conjunction with the facilities or equipment. The approval and payment must be obtained prior to the utilization of facilities or equipment.
ASSOCIATION RIGHTS AND PRIVILEGES. A. 1. The Board agrees to furnish to the Association in response to reasonable requests made by the Association from time to time, available public information as the Board may be able to furnish to the Association, which the Association may require in connection with the processing of grievances and complaints.

Upon timely request, the Employer shall make available at no cost to the Association the latest copy of any Association bargaining unit teachers statistical and expenditure reports relative to employment and benefits currently produced by the Employer which do not require manual or machine editing to remove confidential data or non-Association bargaining unit employee data. Such a request must be made in advance of the preparation of the reports. If new and appropriate employee statistical and expenditure reports are produced by the Employer, the Agency and the Association may mutually agree in advance to provide such reports at no cost. Upon request, the Employer shall make available to the Association at cost any bargaining unit teacher statistical and expenditure data relative to employment and benefits which is possible to produce, although not normally produced, by the Employer. Data that are not normally produced, but possible to produce, include manual or machine editing of existing reports to remove confidential data or data on non-bargaining unit employees or data or reports that require new development. The Agency shall furnish monthly to the Association a list of new teachers hired into positions represented by the Association. The list shall contain the name, classification, date of employment, transfer if known, and work sites of the new teachers.
Section B. Teachers covered by the Agreement are at all times entitled to act through an Association representative in taking any action or following any procedure under this Agreement. Once a teacher files a grievance, the teacher shall not be required to discuss the subject matter of the grievance without the presence of the Association UniServ Consultant if the teacher elects to be represented by the Association.

The Board will provide to the Association President, on a monthly basis and in advance of the meeting, a copy of the Board Agenda for the month and a copy of the Board minutes from the preceding month.
B. Whenever any representative of the Association or any employee is mutually scheduled by the parties to participate during working hours in negotiations, grievance proceedings, or other pertinent matters mutually agreed upon, as approved by the Superintendent, he shall suffer no loss in pay.
C. The Association and its representatives shall have the privilege to use school buildings at all reasonable hours in accordance with Board policy.
D. The Association shall have the privilege to use the inter-school mail facilities and school mailboxes as it deems necessary and without approval of building principals or other members of the administration.
E. The rights and privileges of the Association and its representatives and set forth in this Agreement, shall be granted only to the Association as the exclusive representative of the employee, and to no other employee organizations.
F. The Association shall have the right to use school facilities and equipment at reasonable times when such equipment is not otherwise in use, providing such notification is made in advance to the building principal. The Association shall pay for the cost of all materials and supplies incident to such use and for any repairs necessitated as a result thereof.
G. The Board shall provide to the Association President one copy of each proposed board policy change or addition at such time as the same is recommended to the Board for first reading by the Board Policy Committee. In addition, the Board shall provide one copy of the board policy per school building as well as updating them as necessary.
H. The Board shall provide the Association President with a half-hour a week to perform his or her duties. It is agreed that the half-hour will be in lieu of the assigned half-hour of duty assigned weekly.
ASSOCIATION RIGHTS AND PRIVILEGES. A. The President of the Association, or his/her officer-designee, will be granted a total of three (3) days or equivalent annually for official Association Business. Additional time may be granted at the discretion of the Superintendent of Schools or his/her designee.
B. Adequate notice on the request for leave form shall be submitted to the immediate supervisor. Emergency situations shall be determined by mutual consent of the Superintendent of Schools and the Association President.
