Flexible Work Year. The contractual work year may be reduced when agreed to by 18 the teacher and supervisor. The work year may be extended to meet student/ programmatic needs 19 with advanced notification to TALC and Human Resources. The work year for instructional 20 personnel scheduled to work longer than 196 days may be adjusted to accommodate instructional 21 or student needs. Such adjustments shall be determined ten (10) days prior to the last day of the 22 student year for the following school year, set forth in a written document and signed and dated by 23 the teacher and principal/supervisor and retained at the school/department. The days shall be 24 determined in consultation with the teacher; however, the final decision shall be made by the 25 principal/supervisor to ensure adequate staffing throughout the year.
Flexible Work Year. By mutual consent of a teacher and the School District, work days may be scheduled throughout the contract year (July 1 through June 30). Consent must be provided in writing by the superintendent or designee.
Flexible Work Year. Flexible Work Year applications will be managed in accordance with the University’s policies, procedures and guidelines as amended from time to time. 13.4.1 The flexible work year is intended to provide flexibility in employment for employees with family responsibilities and for employees who wish to extend their leave options for personal reasons. This scheme is to be available to all employees, except casual employees. 13.4.2 An application to participate in the flexible work scheme will be treated as an application for part-time employment. Employees participating in the flexible work scheme will be required to enter into an administrative arrangement with the University to take salary in 26 equal instalments. The terms of participation in the flexible work year scheme will be subject to agreement between the employee and the University. 13.4.3 All leave entitlements, which accrue during the term of an employee’s participation in the flexible work year scheme, are paid at the agreed fractional rate (determined by the agreement reached as to how many weeks worked in the year divided by 52). 13.4.4 Flexible work year leave accrued each 52 week period is expected to be fully utilised in that accrual period and taken prior to the taking of the employee’s accrued recreation leave. Where an employee has not applied to utilise their flexible work year leave on an annual basis, or they have accrued in excess of 30 days recreation leave, approval for the flexible work year arrangement may be withdrawn and the employee will revert to their substantive work arrangements. 13.4.5 All flexible work year leave is normally required to be fully utilised by the employee prior to the expiration of participation in the scheme. Where there is a remaining portion of accrued flexible work year leave (that does not attract a leave loading) at the expiration of participation in the scheme, the value of the remaining leave will be repaid to the employee. 13.4.6 Either the employee or the University may initiate negotiation of a variation of the approved arrangement, with changes normally subject to 3 months notice.

  • Flexible Work Schedule A flexible work schedule is any schedule that is not a regular, alternate, 9/80, or 4/10 work schedule and where the employee is not scheduled to work more than 40 hours in the "workweek" as defined in Subsections F. and H., below.

For the purposes of this agreement, improvement plans shall be based on the individual student growth measure level, and not for overall subjects or classes taught.
