FOR NON-SAFETY EMPLOYEES. Employees may convert unused sick leave to service credit as provided in California Government Code Section 20965.
FOR NON-SAFETY EMPLOYEES. When an employee’s sick leave balance reaches 1,286 hours, an employee may request to have 40 hours deducted from this balance and converted into eight (8) hours of vacation.
FOR NON-SAFETY EMPLOYEES. 1. Total Temporary Disability (TTD) Benefits. Total Temporary Disability (TTD) benefits payments are made to employees who are temporarily unable to work due to an industrial or work-related injury or illness. The minimum and maximum rates are adjusted annually based on the state average weekly wage. TTD benefits are authorized by the Workers’ Compensation Third Party Administrator (TPA). The TPA makes a determination to approve, deny, or delay and request additional information on all workers’ compensation claims. If approved, the TPA authorizes the payment of the TTD benefit. TTD benefits are non-taxable.
FOR NON-SAFETY EMPLOYEES. Employees shall be eligible to participate in the Alameda County Voluntary Vision Plan. The premium cost shall be paid by the employee. Employees shall also be eligible for the Vision Reimbursement Plan subject to the following criteria: The employee is eligible for reimbursement after six (6) months of continuous employment working at least fifty percent (50%) of the normal full-time pay period for the job classification. The employee shall be reimbursed for the cost of either lens and frames or contact lenses specifically prescribed for the employee only, up to a maximum reimbursement of two- hundred dollars ($200) in each subsequent twenty-four (24) month period. Reimbursement will be made subject to applicable procedures and requirements.
FOR NON-SAFETY EMPLOYEES. The annual (calendar year) ACFD Allowance amount, through the term of the MOU, shall be one thousand one hundred dollars ($1,100).
FOR NON-SAFETY EMPLOYEES a. CalPERS benefit formula of "2% at age 55" (PERL Section 21354) for Classic Members.
b. CalPERS PEPRA benefit formula of “2% at age 62” (PERL Section 7522.20) for New Members.
c. 1957 Survivors Benefits and the 1959 Survivors Act (PERL Section 21573).
d. Purchase of Military Service Credit through pre-tax payroll deduction (PERL Section 21024).
e. Final compensation average is one (1) year (PERL Section 20042), for Classic Members; 3-years for New Members.
f. Credit for Unused Sick Leave (PERL Section 20965). Safety employees shall participate in the CalPERS Retirement Tax Deferral Plan as authorized under Section 414 (h)(2) of the Internal Revenue Code.
FOR NON-SAFETY EMPLOYEES. Effective January 1, 2020, salaries for the Fire Code Compliance Officers, Job Code #8135, shall be increased by three and thirty-nine one hundredths percent (3.39%). The employee shall contribute twenty-five percent (25%) of the base wage increase to fund OPEB through a tax deferred method. The twenty-five percent (25%) of the base wage contribution to OPEB by the employee shall be on-going and cumulative.
FOR NON-SAFETY EMPLOYEES i. For coverage effective through the remaining term of this MOU, the ACFD shall contribute the total semi-monthly premium for a County-offered dental plan at the corresponding level of coverage (i.e., Self, Self + 1 dependent, Family). If an employee is not on paid status at least fifty percent (50%) of the normal full-time pay period for the job classification, the employee will be responsible for paying the entire semi-monthly dental premium payment for the benefit.
1. Dental Maximum: The PPO dental annual maximum allowable shall be one- thousand five-hundred and fifty dollars ($1550).
FOR NON-SAFETY EMPLOYEES. Effective January 1, 2020, the Department’s Share the Savings plan tiers and monthly stipend amounts for each eligible employee are as follows: Employees who decline all medical coverage. $300 Employees who decline Family coverage and elect Single coverage. $250 Employees who decline Family coverage and elect 2-Party coverage. $200 Employees who decline 2-Party coverage and elect Single coverage. $200
FOR NON-SAFETY EMPLOYEES. 1. Employees shall receive a total annual clothing allowance of five hundred and twenty-five dollars ($525).
2. In addition to the clothing allowance provided in subsection 18.B.1., upon hire, non-safety employees shall be issued three (3) shirts (short or long-sleeve), three (3) pairs of pants, one
(1) rain jacket and one (1) pair of black duty boots. Uniform items provided by the Department described herein shall be replaced by the Department as needed.
