Grievances Defined. A grievance is defined as any dispute between the persons bound by this Agreement concerning the dismissal or discipline of any Employee, or the interpretation, application, operation or alleged violation of this Agreement or any provision of the Deal Memo as specified in ARTICLE 13.3, including any question as to whether a matter is arbitrable.
Grievances Defined. The term "grievance" shall mean any dispute between the Township and the Union or between the Township and the Employee or Employees covered under this Agreement arising out of the interpretation, application or administration of a specific article or section of this contract. Each grievance shall set forth facts pertaining to the alleged violation of any pertinent section of this contract which is alleged to have been violated.
Grievances Defined. A grievance is hereby defined as a violation of the terms of this Agreement or any type of supervisory conduct which unjustly denies to any employee the employee’s job or any benefit arising out of the employee’s job and notice of which has been given in writing within four (4) calendar weeks after its occurrence.

Grievance shall be defined as a dispute between the City and a unit employee, group of unit employees, the Association on behalf of an individual unit employee or group of unit employees, or the Association on its own behalf, regarding the application or interpretation of specific expressed provisions of this MOU, Civil Service Rules and Regulations, and/or departmental rules and regulations.
2. In addition, fulltime unit employees having probationary or permanent status may file a personal non- disciplinary grievance on one (1) or more than one of the following grounds:
a. Improper application of rules and regulations, and procedures directly affecting any unit employees work schedule, fringe benefits, holidays, vacation, sick leave, retirement, or change in classification or salary. Performance evaluations may only be grieved based on inappropriate application of City Rules and Regulations or Departmental procedures.
b. Unfair treatment, including coercion, restraint, or reprisal.
c. Reduction in force action – layoffs.
d. Promotion procedures implemented unfairly.
e. Classification of position.
f. Non-selection for training opportunities.
g. Discrimination because of age, sex, race, marital status, religion, color, creed, national origin, or political or union affiliation.
h. Written reprimand(s) may only be grieved through the grievance process as set forth in this section:

Grievances Defined. Any dispute concerning the interpretation or application of the terms of this Agreement or the rights claimed to exist hereunder shall be processed in accordance with the provisions of this Section. Every union member shall have the right to present his/her unresolved dispute free from interference, coercion, restraint, discrimination, or reprisal, and shall have the right to be represented by a person of his/her own choosing at all stages of the grievance procedure. Employees, Stewards, Alternate Stewards, the Union or the Town shall have fifteen (15) working days from the occurrence of any dispute to grieve such matter. If the Matter is not grieved, the Matter shall be deemed acceptable and all parties shall have waived the right to grieve the Matter.
Grievances Defined. The parties agree that the following process/procedures shall be the sole and exclusive forum for the adjudication of any and all claims (“grievances”), as defined below, related to this Agreement and/or employees’ employment or termination of employment. This includes, when and if ordered by the National Labor Relations Board, the deferral of and decision through binding arbitration of any alleged violation of the National Labor Relation Act. For the purpose of this Agreement, a grievance is defined as any complaint or dispute arising out of the interpretation, application, performance and/or violation of a specific Article and Section of this Agreement and/or the terms and conditions of employment applicable to Residents/Fellows, including non-academic disciplinary actions up to and including termination. No grievance as defined above shall be considered under the grievance procedure unless it is presented as provided below. However, exceptions may be made by written agreement of the parties.

If the parties are unable to informally resolve the matter, a formal written grievance including a detailed statement of the nature of the violation of the contract alleged, citation of the specified articles and sections of the contract involved, together with the facts giving rise to the grievance and the relief requested, will be signed by the aggrieved and filed within ten (10) calendar days of the occurrence or knowledge of the occurrence out of which the grievance arises, or within ten
