Holiday Leave Bank. A leave bank is established in lieu of traditional holiday leave. Each employee will earn six (6) hours of leave per full calendar month of paid employment (pro-rata share if the employee is less than full time), with a maximum accrual of seventy-two (72) hours. Leave may be taken, once earned, at a time mutually agreeable between the employee and employee’s supervisor.

Holiday Leave Bank a. 1) On January first of each year, unit employees currently employed shall be granted a holiday time bank of one hundred and six (106) hours holiday leave for the current calendar year.
Holiday Leave Bank. 1. Holiday leave taken by eligible unit employees shall be directly applied to the one hundred six (106) hours of holiday leave as set forth in this article.

Holiday Leave Bank. In addition to the designated holidays above, the employees will receive one (1) day of floating holiday each calendar year which is not cumulative and not carried over from one calendar year (as defined by pay periods) to the next calendar year. The floating holiday will be placed in a floating holiday leave bank, and the member must be employed on January pt in order to receive this benefit . The floating holiday can be used in one-hour increments. The total hourly amount for the leave will be based on the employee's regularly scheduled workday; (24) hours per year for employees assigned to work a fifty -six (56) hour shift and a total of ten (10) hours per year for employees assigned to work ten (10) hour shifts. This holiday leave bank will be counted as time worked. For the duration of this MOU only, the employees will receive one additional floating holiday as described above, for each year of this MOU.

  • Xxxx Leave Bank Section 1: A Sick Leave Bank will be established to relieve a Teacher from undue financial burdens as a result of an absence from work due to the Teacher’s illness, injury, or incapacitation sufficiently severe to make the performance of their duties impossible. Sick Leave Bank leave shall not be used for parenting leave. A Teacher member of the Sick Leave Bank who has exhausted his or her personal leave and sick leave days shall be eligible to apply to the committee for an extension of sick leave benefits. Sick bank days shall not be granted beyond the period when a Teacher would or could be eligible to receive benefits of the School Corporation’s long- term disability program. Unused days in the Sick Leave Bank shall be carried forward to the following year.

  • Sick Leave Bank 22.1 The purpose of this Sick Leave Bank is to provide a bank of sick leave hours from which a member may draw in case of extended absences due to illness/disability which renders the member incapable of working.

  • Leave Bank The Employer agrees to begin exploration of creating and maintaining an account or mechanism to permit donation of Paid Time Off hours from members of the bargaining unit to bargaining unit employees who are on family or medical leave and who have exhausted or are projected to exhaust their accrued leave before they are able to return to work.

  • Religious Holiday Leave An employee may use two (2) sick days for religious observances if he/she has no personal business leave days. When an employee requests the use of this leave for days not known to be a religious holiday, the Board may request documentation.

  • Paid Holiday Bank Employees qualify in accordance with the collective agreement. The paid holidays are identified in the Collective Agreement. Credit to the paid holiday bank will occur on the date of the holiday. Drawing from the paid holiday bank will occur at an accelerated rate of 1.25 hours paid for every hour taken (i.e. 11.25 hours worked equals 14.05 hours paid; 7.5 hours worked equals 9.375 hours paid).

  • Holiday Week In the event that a holiday is celebrated during the week (Monday through Friday), the remaining four days of the week may be worked as a four ten shift at the straight time rate on a voluntary basis with three (3) days’ notice to the Union. In the event the job is down due to weather conditions, then Saturday may, at the option of the Employer be worked as a voluntary make-up day at the straight time rate.

  • Civic Holiday Labour Day Thanksgiving Day Christmas Day (December 25) Boxing Day (December 26) In addition to the above noted holidays, full-time employees will be eligible for two (2) floating holidays. The float holiday will be scheduled at a mutually agreeable time prior to the end of the calendar year.
