HOURS OF WORK Section A. The normal work week and work day for the months of November through March shall consist of forty (40) hours, five (5) eight (8) hour days, 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. The months of April through October shall consist of a 40 hour work week, four ten-hour days, 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Thursday. This schedule may be altered by the EMPLOYER due to weather conditions which warrant the changing of work projects as mutually agreed upon between the EMPLOYER and the UNION.

HOURS OF WORK Section A. The normal work week for employees of this unit shall be eight (8) hours per day, forty (40) hours per week. The regular work day shall start at 8:00 a.m. and shall end at 4:30 p.m. allowing a half (1/2) hour lunch each day. The normal workdays shall be Monday through Friday. Flexible work schedules may be established with approval of the Department Head. Under management rights, the County Board, at any time, can define the working hours of departments. HOURS OF WORK Section A. Full-time Employees and Administrative Departments The normal work week for full-time employees shall be 35, 37.5 or 40 hours as established by job title and Department. The normal work day for full-time employees shall be 7, 7.5 or 8 hours as established by the Department; provided, however, that the work day for Library employees may vary in order to accommodate the hours of operation of the Library. The City shall give an employee as much notice as possible of a change in work schedule and, except in the case of an emergency or unforeseen circumstances, at least one (1) week in advance. The City and the Union agree that the Mayor may approve the use of flexible scheduling under the following conditions:

  • 00 - HOURS OF WORK 14.01 The Employer does not guarantee to provide work to any employee for regularly assigned hours or any other hours, except as provided for in Article 18.00. Eight (8) hours shall constitute a normal day of work. The normal hours of work shall be between the hours of 7:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. for an eight (8) hour day, with one-half or one hour for lunch at the midpoint of the shift. Forty (40) hours shall constitute a normal week's work, Monday through Friday inclusive. Variances beyond one (1) hour of 7:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. shall be agreed mutually between the Employer and the Business Manager. The one (1) hour variance is conditional upon the Employer giving the Union and affected employees appropriate advance notice. If the foregoing starting or quitting times are changed without mutual agreement, applicable overtime rates shall be paid for any time worked before or after the above hours as a result of the change of the times.

  • Standard Hours of Work 4.2.1 The standard hours of work shall be defined as regularly scheduled twenty-four (24) hours per week or less averaged over each bi-weekly pay period.
