Hours of Work, Shift Schedules and Starting and Finishing Times. The length of workdays, shift patterns and shift schedules shall be negotiated within the work group according to recognized provisions of Clause 14.2. (a) Except for part-time employees, and auxiliary employees pursuant to Clause 15.10(d), the length of the scheduled workday will be established within Memorandum of Understanding 1; however, no scheduled full-time workday shall be less than seven hours. (b) Shift pattern and length of scheduled changes will be limited to a maximum of six per year with a minimum duration of one month for any shift pattern or scheduled workday length, except by mutual agreement within the work group, or if necessary, refer the matter to the Joint Labour Management Committee.

These negotiations will commence prior to the "production season". (b) Shift pattern and length of scheduled workday changes will be limited to a maximum of three per year with a minimum duration of two months for any shift pattern or scheduled workday length, except by mutual agreement at the local level. (c) The normal meal period will be not less than one-half hour and not more than one hour. Lengthening of the scheduled workday will not be achieved by expanding the normal meal period except by mutual agreement.

Hours of Work, Shift Schedules and Starting and Finishing Times. (a) The hours of operation are determined by the Employer. The basic shift pattern is seven hours at 5:2. Any other shift pattern up to and including 40 hours per week at straight-time pay will be implemented at the Employer’s discretion. (b) The Employer shall determine when various services are provided (hours of operation), the classifications of positions and the numbers of employees required to provide the services. (c) Schedules including starting and finishing times, and accumulated annual hours, will be posted at least seven days in advance. A copy will be sent to the local union office. (d) The length of workday for the summer season and the winter season will be set by the Employer based on production requirements. (e) The maximum length of workday will be 10 hours. (f) The foregoing will not preclude start time adjustments. The Employer will institute not more than five shift schedules and that these shifts schedules will be sent to the Labour Committee. If more changes are required they will be discussed with the Labour/Management Committee and will be agreed to by mutual agreement.

  • HOURS OF WORK AND SCHEDULING 15.01 The normal hours of work for an employee are not a guarantee of work per day or per week, or a guarantee of days of work per week. The normal hours of work shall be seven and one-half (7-1/2) hours per day, and seventy-five (75) hours in any bi-weekly period. 15.02 The normal daily shift shall consist of seven and one-half (7 ½) consecutive hours, exclusive of a one-half (1/2) hour unpaid meal period. For employees working the night shift, this one-half (1/2) hour will be paid. Employees shall be entitled to a fifteen (15) minute paid break during each half of the normal daily shift, at a time designated by the Employer. An employee may combine her rest periods in order to have one (1) thirty (30) minute break, providing she has prior approval from the Director of Nursing. When a meal period is interrupted requiring an employee to attend to a work related problem, then the balance of the unused meal period will be taken within two (2) hours of the interruption. If the employee is unable to reschedule such time, she shall be paid time and one-half (1½) her regular straight time hourly rate for all time worked in excess of her normal daily hours, in accordance with Article 16.01. 15.03 Employees required for reporting purposes shall remain at work for a period of up to fifteen (15) minutes which shall be unpaid. Should the reporting time extend beyond fifteen (15) minutes however, the entire period shall be considered overtime for the purposes of payment. 15.04 Requests for change in posted work schedules must be submitted in writing and co-signed by the employee willing to exchange days off or shifts and are subject to the discretion of the Administrator or her designate. In any event, it is understood that such a change initiated by the employee and approved by the Employer shall not result in overtime compensation or payment or any other claims on the Employer by any employee under the terms of this Agreement. 15.05 Where there is a change to Daylight Savings from Standard Time or vice-versa, an employee who is scheduled and works a full shift shall be paid for the actual hours worked at her regular straight time hourly rate. 15.06 There shall be no split shifts. (a) There shall be a minimum of sixteen (16) hours off between changes of shift unless mutually agreed otherwise. (b) An employee shall not be required to work more than seven (7) consecutive days without days off, unless mutually agreed to by the employee and the Employer. (a) Any employee who is working a permanent shift as of December 31, 1996 shall not be transferred to another shift without their consent. (b) Where possible, the employee will not be scheduled to work more than two

  • General Scope of Work The Scope of Work and projected level of effort required for these SERVICES is described in Exhibit “A” attached hereto and by this reference made a part of this AGREEMENT. The General Scope of Work was developed utilizing performance based contracting methodologies.

  • General specifications For the purpose of this Regulation, the vehicle shall fulfil the following requirements:

  • Technical Specifications The Technical Specifications furnished on the CD are intended to establish the standards for quality, performance and technical requirements for all labor, workmanship, material, methods and equipment necessary to complete the Work. When specifications and drawings are provided or referenced by the County, these are to be considered part of the Scope of Work, and to be specifically documented in the Detailed Scope of Work. For convenience, the County supplied specifications, if any, and the Technical Specifications furnished on the CD.

  • Posting of Work Schedules Work schedules shall be written in ink and posted and maintained in such a way as to provide every employee an opportunity to know her shift schedule for an advanced period of six (6) weeks.

  • Alternate Work Schedules Workweeks and work shifts of different numbers of hours may be established for overtime-eligible employees by the Employer in order to meet business and customer service needs, as long as the alternate work schedules meet federal and state law. When there is a holiday, employees may be required to switch from their alternate work schedules to regular work schedules.

  • Attachment A, Scope of Services The scope of services is amended as follows:

  • Regular Work Schedules The regular work schedule for overtime-eligible employees will not be more than forty (40) hours in a workweek, with two (2) consecutive calendar days off and starting and ending times as determined by the requirements of the position and the Employer. The Employer may adjust the regular work schedule with prior notice to the employee.
