Illness During Annual Leave. If an employee, who is eligible for sick leave, produces a satisfactory medical certificate to the effect that he/she has been incapacitated for a period of one week or more while on annual leave, the University will re-credit the employee with an equivalent period of annual leave. No such re-credit will be granted to an employee on annual leave immediately prior to retirement, resignation or termination of services.
Illness During Annual Leave. If an Operator becomes seriously ill and is incapacitated while on Annual Leave and the illness can be supported by a written statement from a physician, the Operator shall have the period of illness charged against Sick Leave and not Annual Leave upon written request.
Illness During Annual Leave. If an employee produces satisfactory medical evidence of illness during annual leave, the absence will be recorded as sick leave and annual leave recredited accordingly, provided:
(a) the employee has obtained a medical certificate;
(b) the medical evidence indicates the employee was unfit for duty;
(c) sick leave for not less than 1 day was needed;
(d) sick leave credits are available; and
(e) the medical evidence is provided at the time of illness or if that is not possible as soon as practicable thereafter.
Illness During Annual Leave. Should an employee become ill while on annual leave and require medical attention or hospitalization, the time ill may be charged to the employee's accumulated sick leave.
Illness During Annual Leave. If an employee becomes so ill during a holiday in Iceland, in a country within the EEA, Switzerland, the United States or Canada that he is unable to enjoy the holiday, he must notify his employer of such event on the first day of illness by means of e.g. telegraph, e-mail or other verifiable manner unless force majeure circumstances prevent him from doing so, in which case he must send notification as soon as such circumstances are alleviated. If the employee meets the notification requirement, the illness lasts for more than 3 full days and he notifies the employer within that time of the name of the doctor from whom he is receiving medical care or who will issue a medical certificate, he shall be entitled to additional holiday leave for the same length of time as his illness demonstrably lasted. In the above circumstances, the employee must always provide confirmation of illness in the form of a doctor’s certificate. The employer is entitled to have a physician examine an employee who has fallen ill during his holiday. As far as is possible, additional holiday leave shall be granted at the time requested by the employee during the period from 2 May to 15 September, except where special circumstances apply. The same rules as stated above apply to accidents during holidays.
Illness During Annual Leave. If an employee becomes ill during annual leave for a period of 3 consecutive days or more, on days on which that employee would normally have worked and immediately upon return to work after such leave provides a certificate from a medical practitioner or other registered health professional certifying that the employee was unfit for work and the days on which such employee claims to have been unfit, the number of days specified in the certificate may be debited to any sick leave entitlements of the employee accrued at that time and re-credited to that employee's annual leave entitlements.
Illness During Annual Leave. 39.5.1 A pilot who:
(a) becomes seriously ill for at least seven consecutive days while on annual leave; and
(b) advises the employer as soon as practicable of such illness; and
(c) produces medical evidence in the form of a certificate from a duly qualified medical practitioner of the illness within seven days of return to duty, must be allowed to take that period against sick leave credits and have the annual leave credit adjusted accordingly.
39.5.2 The employer must give consideration to granting the pilot equivalent substitute annual leave in the manner requested by the pilot.
Illness During Annual Leave. (1) An employee who is granted medical leave whilst he is on annual leave may have the annual leave treated as medical leave.
(2) The Club shall adjust the employee’s record of his annual leave entitlement accordingly.
Illness During Annual Leave. If an employee becomes ill during their annual leave, their annual leave period will be extended to offset the period of illness provided that: - • A medical certificate is provided; and • The relevant Manager is notified of the illness; and • The illness lasts for at least three consecutive days; and • There is sufficient personal leave entitlement for the period of illness
Illness During Annual Leave. Where an Employee is ill or injured during a period of paid annual leave and such illness/injury is supported by a medical certificate provided by the Employee, the relevant period of the absence will be regarded as paid sick leave and reinstated to the Employee’s annual leave balance, provided that the Employee has a sufficient paid personal/carer’s leave accrual.
