Insurance Review Committee. An insurance review committee shall be established to review and analyze all employee insurance programs for the purpose of recommending updated coverage and premiums. The committee shall consist of the District Business Administrator and two teacher representatives selected by the exclusive representative. The selection of the insurance carrier and policy shall be made by the School District as provided by law.
Insurance Review Committee. The District shall provide coverage for health, dental, life, and other fringe benefit programs for members of the unit through plans recommended by the Insurance Review Committee (IRC) and adopted by the District. LRCEA may appoint a unit member as their representative to the IRC.
10.1 Section 125 Plan, Premium Only Plan, Dependent Care Assistance Program and Flexible Spending Accounts
Insurance Review Committee. A. The Superintendent shall upon ratification of this Agreement appoint members to the Insurance Review Committee for the purposes of:
1. Determining options available in keeping with current and projected cost.
2. Determining adequacy of and delivery of plan coverage and benefits.
3. Making recommendations prior to March 1 each year.
4. Provided four-fifths of the committee members agree to the recommendations, they shall be made directly to the School Board which shall either accept the recommendations or refer them back to the committee; if less than this fraction of the committee members agree, the results of the committee’s work shall be submitted to the parties’ negotiations teams for resolution during subsequent bargaining.
B. The Review Committee shall consist of:
1. Two members appointed by the Superintendent.
2. Two employees appointed by the Union President.
3. One school board member appointed by the Chairman of the School Board.
C. Insurance Wellness Initiative Committee
1. Four (4) members of the Association appointed by the President (two from each unit) and four (4) members appointed by the Superintendent and one chosen by the appointees shall comprise the committee.
2. The committee shall be charged with developing and implementing a wellness program available to all employees that meets the guidelines established between the carrier and the School Board.
Insurance Review Committee. During the term of this Agreement there shall be a committee of nine individuals, comprised of an equal number of representatives from full-time faculty, classified staff and the administration, to (1) approve health insurance carriers; (2) set coverages; and (3) modify insurance plans to ensure optimum coverage from available resources. The President of the Association shall appoint the classified staff members to the committee, the President of the OCCFA shall appoint the faculty members to the committee, and the President of the College shall appoint the administrators to the committee. The consensus of at least seven members of the committee shall be required to approve any action. The committee shall recommend for ratification any alteration in the insurance program provided herein to the Boards of their respective groups, which shall not be unreasonably withheld.
Insurance Review Committee. The City and FOP Dispatch and Clerical membership agree to participate in a city-wide employee-management insurance review committee for the purpose of mutually monitoring the status of the health plan. This review committee shall meet at least annually. The City reserves the right to change providers of health benefits including the PPO Plan, the prescription card plan and the dental plan. The Employer agrees to provide bargaining unit employees health plan coverage that the benefits remains substantially the same. Such coverage may be provided through a self- funded plan or an outside insurance carrier. Cost containment measures may be adopted by the Employer in consideration of projected costs, market availability of coverages and utilization. The Employer shall meet and confer with the Union regarding health care providers and levels of coverage, but the Employer shall make the final dete1mination if a consensus is not reached.

Insurance Review Committee. The parties shall each appoint up to six (6) members who will serve on a joint Labor and Management committee charged with monitoring health insurance usage and costs, and opportunities to educate bargaining unit employees on ways to better and more efficiently utilize healthcare benefits. Such members shall be provided release time. If they come to work for the meeting on their day off, they will be paid straight time (unless required under FLSA to be compensated at 1.5 times). The committee will meet the first working Friday afternoon from 2:30 PM to 4:00 PM at a location in UIHC, except for January, June, July and August. The September meeting would be on the second Friday due to the Labor Day weekend.
Insurance Review Committee. The Union shall have the right to name one representative to the District's Insurance Review Committee. The purpose of the Insurance Review Committee is to review any concerns or proposed changes in the insurance programs of the District. Any decisions of the Committee must be ratified by the Union and the Board, and when ratified such decisions shall be incorporated into and become a part of this Agreement.

Insurance Review Committee. The parties recognize the value to monitoring and evaluating health care insurance coverage and trends as a result of the many changes to insurance benefits occurring in current conditions. The parties agree to meet as a voluntary insurance committee quarterly to discuss insurances trends, plans and options. The meetings can be attended by union representatives and employees, City management and executive representatives, and non-represented employees, with one of each group serving together to direct the meetings. The meetings are non-binding and informal intended to serve as informational and as an evaluation of the conditions. The meetings should be posted 30 days in advance or as otherwise necessary. In the event the City or Union seek to adjust insurance benefits or plans as a result of these meetings, the parties will reduce any agreement to writing. Participation in the committee does not waive any rights under PECBA.
