Interim Assignments. An employee may be given an Interim Assignment to a position within the bargaining unit or to a position outside of the bargaining unit. An employee from this bargaining unit given an Interim Assignment to a position outside of the bargaining unit will continue to accrue seniority in this bargaining unit. At the end of an Interim Assignment, such an employee shall have the right to return to his or her former position or another mutually agreed-upon (by the College, the Association, and the bargaining unit member) bargaining unit position the employee is qualified to perform, absent just cause and subject to the other provisions of this Agreement.

Interim Assignments. A Regular full-time COACH who, in addition to performing their duties, is assigned on an interim basis:
Interim Assignments. A member may be given an Interim Assignment to a position within the bargaining unit or to a position outside of the bargaining unit for up to a one-year period, which may be extended by mutual agreement, for an additional year. A member given an Interim Assignment will continue to accrue seniority in this bargaining unit. At the end of an Interim Assignment, such member shall have the right to return to their former position (if it still exists) at the rate the member would have received absent the interim assignment, or to another mutually agreed-upon bargaining unit position the employee is qualified to perform, absent just cause and subject to the other provisions of this Agreement.

Interim Assignments. After serving two or more consecutive work days in an interim assignment in a higher grade classification, the employee will be paid at the wage rate corresponding to the higher classification at their step placement for the remainder of the interim assignment. The wage rate adjustment shall become effective with the third work day.

Interim Assignments. -99 The University shall pay a minimum additional payment of $500 in any monthly pay period where the employee has performed in an interim assignment for fifteen (15) or more working days. The payment may be a temporary additional to base salary or a lump-sum special payment at the unit’s discretion. A lump-sum special payment will not be subject to salary-based benefits, such as the Employer or Employee contributions under the MSU 403(b) base retirement plan, life insurance, etc. In order to qualify for the additional pay, the Employee must be assigned to the interim position by a supervisor or managerial University official. This provision shall not in itself alter the practice of rotating shifts where such practice presently exists. No employee who has a regular shift assignment on the effective date of the Agreement shall be involuntarily displaced from such shift assignment as a result of this Article.
