LABOUR MANAGEMENT BARGAINING RELATIONS. 8.1 No Employee or group of employees shall undertake to represent the Association at meetings with the Employer without proper authorization from the Association’s Executive.
8.2 The Association shall acknowledge the Association’s right to representation of its choosing when negotiating with the Employer.
LABOUR MANAGEMENT BARGAINING RELATIONS. 8.01 Representatives:
LABOUR MANAGEMENT BARGAINING RELATIONS. 8.01 The Employer shall not bargain with or enter into any agreement with an employee or group of employees in the Bargaining Unit. No employee or group of employees shall undertake to represent the Union at meetings with the Employer without the proper authorization of the Union. In representing an employee or group of employees, an elected or appointed representative of the Union shall be the spokesperson. In order that this may be carried out, the Union will supply the Employer with the names of its officers. Likewise, the Employer shall supply the Union with a list of its supervisory personnel with whom the Union may be required to transact business with respect to the Grievance Procedure.
8.02 A Union Bargaining Committee shall be elected or appointed and consist of not more than four (4) members of the Union. The Union will advise the Employer of the Union members of the Committee.
8.03 The Union shall have the right at any time to have the assistance of representatives of the Canadian Union of Public Employees or any other advisors when dealing or negotiating with the Employer. Such Representative(s)/Advisor(s) may be granted access to the Employer's premises in order to investigate and assist in the settlement of a grievance.
(a) In any renegotiation of this contract, any representative of the Union or the Bargaining Committee, who is in the employ of the Employer, shall have the right to attend meetings held within working hours without loss of remuneration up to but not including conciliation. Any member of the Union's Negotiating Committee may request a shift change for the shift immediately preceding or immediately following a scheduled negotiation session.
(b) It is understood that members of the Negotiating Committee shall be permitted to attend all negotiation meetings without applying for a leave of absence. Immediately upon being so advised, each member of the negotiation committee will be responsible for informing his/her supervisor of any scheduled negotiation meeting where their scheduled shift is affected.
8.05 A Labour/Management Committee shall be established consisting of three (3) representatives of the Union and three (3) representatives of the Employer. The Committee shall enjoy the full support of both parties in the interests of improved service to the clients and job security for the employees. LABOUR MANAGEMENT BARGAINING RELATIONS. The following provisions will apply only to the bargaining associated with the renewal of the Collective Agreement under the terms of the Labour Relations Code.
LABOUR MANAGEMENT BARGAINING RELATIONS. 9.1 No employee or group of employees shall undertake to represent the Association at meetings with the Employer without the authority of the President or the General Secretary acting on behalf of the Association.
9.2 The Association shall have the right at any time to have the assistance of representatives of any recognized National, Regional or International Trade Association or Consultant, at the Association’s expense, when dealing or negotiating with the Employer.
LABOUR MANAGEMENT BARGAINING RELATIONS. 9.01 A Unit Bargaining Committee shall be appointed and consist of not more than three (3) members of the bargaining unit. The Union will advise the employer of the union nominees to the committee.
9.02 Any designated representative of the union bargaining or grievance committee, who is in the employ of the employer, shall have the right to attend meetings mutually agreed upon held within working hours without loss of remuneration. It is understood that this provision applies also to the grievance and arbitration procedures including any employees identified in Article 11.07.
9.03 The Union agrees to submit the names of the grievance and bargaining committee to the employer.
LABOUR MANAGEMENT BARGAINING RELATIONS. 9.01 Union bargaining committee.
LABOUR MANAGEMENT BARGAINING RELATIONS. 6.01 The Union Bargaining Committee shall be appointed and consist of not more than three (3) members of the Union plus the Union President or Vice-President. The Union shall be allowed an additional Union member on the Bargaining Committee. However, the provisions of 6.02 below will not apply.
6.02 Any representative of the Union on a Joint Committee of Negotiations, Conciliation, Mediation, Grievance, Arbitration or Liaison, who is an employee of the Board, shall have the privilege of attending Joint Committee Meetings with the Division held within working hours without loss of remuneration.
6.03 A copy of the minutes of the Labour/Management meeting shall be mailed to the President of the Union and the CUPE Representative.
6.04 The Union will supply the Employer with the names of its Officers.
LABOUR MANAGEMENT BARGAINING RELATIONS. 34.1. Members of the Bargaining Unit shall have the right at any time to have assistance of representatives of the Canadian Union of Public Employees or any other advisors when dealing or negotiating with the Employer. Such representative(s) or advisor(s) shall have access to the Employer's premises in order to investigate and assist in the settlement of a grievance or in any other matter relating to the Union's business.
34.2. Any representative of the Union or bargaining committee who is in the employ of the Employer shall have the right to attend meetings with the Employer held within working hours without loss of salary, seniority or any other benefit.
34.3. In order that the Union can properly represent Employees in labour management relations, the Employer agrees that members of the Bargaining Unit may use the Employer's business equipment (including but not limited to computers, photocopiers etc.), outside of normal business hours, and so long as such use does not unduly interfere in the Employer's business.
LABOUR MANAGEMENT BARGAINING RELATIONS. 7.01 The Umbrella agrees to recognize a negotiating committee comprised of the Local President, a National Representative from CUPE (at the discretion of the Local) and two (2) representatives of the Union for the purposes of negotiating a renewal agreement. The Umbrella also agrees to have an equal number of representatives from the Umbrella.
7.02 In the event that either party wishes to call a bargaining meeting, the meeting shall be held at a mutually agreed to time and place.
7.03 Any cost associated with conciliation/mediation shall be shared equally between the Union and the Umbrella.
