Non-Instructional Time. 19.01 The non-instructional period is intended to allow the employee time off as vacation but it is also expected that this period is to be used by an employee for the pursuit of professional development activities. The primary responsibility for professional development rests with the employee. However, the employer recognizes the benefit of a well trained professional individual; and in support of this, commits to support this initiative.

Non-Instructional Time. Non-instructional time is the additional time the teacher is required to be on duty beyond instructional time. This time is for preparation and those appropriate activities indicated in Section 2 General Provisions. Teachers shall be provided 480 minutes per week for preparation time within the Work Day in blocks no shorter than thirty (30) minutes with at least one block of forty-five (45) minutes per day within the Work Day. This shall not be construed so as to prevent a shortened day full preparation period of less than forty-five (45) minutes.
Non-Instructional Time. Faculty members shall use non-instructional time, exclusive of vacation, for curriculum improvement, course development, program review, school meetings, and College committee work, as approved by the Xxxx. Individual developmental activities may be arranged only after obligations to the teaching responsibilities are fulfilled.

Non-Instructional Time. C7.8.1 Part time employees shall receive the amount of non-instructional time as specified in Article D3 of this agreement.
Non-Instructional Time. In addition to the preparation time specified in section B above, elementary teachers and specialists shall receive a minimum of ninety (90) minutes of non-instructional time per week, in blocks of no less than 30 minutes.

Generally, non-instructional time for each Teacher includes, but is not limited to team meetings, parent communications, grade and district level meetings, individual Teacher-directed plan time, intervention planning and IEP/504 meetings. (Teacher’s duty-free lunch period or time spent performing extra duties or substituting does not count toward non-instructional minutes). The District will make a good faith effort to recognize at least forty-five (45) minutes per day of the weekly 325-minute minimum as Teacher-directed plan time, except for intervention planning, IEP/504 meetings or other unforeseen circumstances. To count towards this 325-minute minimum the non-instructional time cannot be less than 30 consecutive minutes on a regular workday.
