Instructor Training. Beginning on November 1 and continuing through November 30 of each calendar year, the Sheriff shall post in the Bulletin a request for all members who wish to apply to attend training courses that will permit them to become certified in law enforcement basic Instructional skills, or other specialized areas of law enforcement instruction to respond to via e-mail to xxxxxxxx@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx.xxx before the close of the posting period. On or before January 7, the Sheriff shall notify the four (4) most senior deputies and two (2) most senior supervisors (total FCSO seniority and not seniority in rank) that have applied they have been approved to attend such training. No member will be approved or permitted to attend such training if they do not meet the selection criteria set forth in section 9.5 (A), (B), or (C). It is agreed that the FCSO will make a good faith effort to enroll the selected members in the instructional training courses that they have been approved to attend. If a member is unable to attend instructional training due to enrollment limits of the course, the member shall be given priority over all members the following calendar year to apply and attend said instructional training. A member approved to attend such training and enrolled, shall not be permitted to withdraw without good and just cause. If the member does not have good and just cause, they shall be prohibited from applying to attend another training course for a period of two (2) years. Any member who attends an instructional training course and fails to pass and/or obtain an instructor’s certificate shall be prohibited from applying to attend another training course for a period of two (2) years. Any members who have been approved but who are unable to attend instructional training due to personal hardship or by disqualification by application of section 9.5 (A), (B), or (C),the Sheriff will make a good faith effort to fill the training slots vacated with the next most senior member who applied to attend the training course.
Instructor Training. Institution shall assign qualified technical instructors to the Program, and shall offer them release time to participate in appropriate MBUSA technical training necessary to maintain MBUSA certification. MBUSA shall provide specific and relevant training for at least two (2) Institution instructors at a facility designated by MBUSA. Technical instructor training will consist of participation and/or observation of the modules offered in the Mercedes-Benz training program. MBUSA shall offer the training free of charge; all other costs associated with this training, such as travel, lodging, and meals, shall be the responsibility of Institution.
Instructor Training. MCP shall select instructors, provide ------------------- training, and will to its best ability develop Courses in a consistent style and approach. Caliber shall make available to each instructor a room at the Baltimore Caliber Learning Center for one (1) day of training and will provide assistance in such 1-day training. Such room rental will be invoiced to MCP at Caliber's standard daily rate, and MCP shall also be solely responsible for any charges incurred by its use of studio time. Should MCP have a need for additional rehearsal time for instructor training, Caliber will use its best efforts to provide such facilities, and shall invoice MCP for additional facilities at a mutually agreed upon price.
Instructor Training. The Contractor shall ensure if an instructor is deficient in any area listed in the Desired Qualifications Section of this Contract, the Contractor will take steps to enhance the instructors skill set. For example, the Contractor may use continuing education, self-paced online learning, coaching, and observation of other instructors to achieve this.
Instructor Training. The Adult Mental Health First Aid Instructor Training course is a 3-day in-person training session. It prepares individuals to be certified to teach the 8-hour class. Prior to training, all participants are required to complete an 8-hour self-paced online class in order to participate in the training. National Trainers will guide candidates through the training with an emphasis on coaching and preparing candidates to be ambassadors of Mental Health First Aid. Courses typically run from 8:30 a.m.–4:30 p.m. or 9:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m. each day. The National Trainers will conduct an individual evaluation of each candidate, and each candidate will provide a peer review for their colleagues. There are three possible outcomes from the instructor training: full certification, provisional certification, or no certification. Attendance is not a guarantee of certification. Once certified as an instructor, a person is eligible to teach the 8-hour Adult Mental Health First Aid course. There is an additional 2-hour self- paced class afterwards in order to add the virtual certification. An Adult Mental Health First Aid instructor is required to serve as a presenter, facilitator and, most importantly, an ambassador of the Mental Health First Aid USA program. As a prerequisite to applying to become a Lake County Health Department Adult Mental Health First Aid Certified trainer, all applicants must read, understand and agree to abide by the following: • Adult Mental Health First Aid Instructors must exhibit positive attitudes towards individuals with behavioral health challenges and should have enthusiasm to reduce the stigma/discrimination associated with mental illness and addiction disorders, as this is an aim of Adult Mental Health First Aid and the curriculum is specifically designed to promote recovery. • Instructors agree to conduct each Adult Mental Health First Aid training in pairs. If an instructor does not have a partner, the Lake County Health Department will assist with finding a training partner. Virtual AMHFA classes last 4 hours. In-person training session lasts approximately 9 hours and consists of 8 hours of training content. The in-person training sessions can be conducted in one day or broken up into two 4-hour days. • Prior to conducting the training and then following the training, Instructors agree to commit the time necessary to prepare for the training, enter data and summarize the training. • As a condition of maintaining certification and status with...
Instructor Training. It is agreed that two (2) instructors selected from within the workforce by the Union and trained by Workers’ Health and Safety Centre would be utilized. These instructors, once trained, would be responsible to develop and deliver health and safety training programs agreed to by the JHSC. The Company agrees to cover all costs, expenses, and lost time associated with the Instruction Training Program. Health and Safety Instructors will attend all meetings pertaining to Health and Safety Training. Health and Safety Instructors will receive statistical data when it relates to any Health and Safety training or initiatives.
Instructor Training. The SCT shall provide all training required for the instructors. The SCT shall train all the instructors and material developers in the MIL-STD-1379 system or provide evidence that the individuals have successfully completed a government or commercially available course in MIL-STD-1379 development. The SCT shall provide the instructors with all training necessary to make them technically proficient in the instruction of their assigned courses. The Instructors shall either be trained or have been trained in MIL-STD-1379 development and instructor skills (skills shall include class control and presentation skills).
