Notification of Teaching Assignment. A. 1. All teachers shall be given written notice of their teaching assignment for the coming school year prior to the termination of the current year.

Notification of Teaching Assignment. A teacher under current contract with the Board shall be notified of his/her assignment for the coming school year by the last day of school, provided that both parties agree that changes in teaching assignment may be necessary after the last day of school due to changes in enrollment, scheduling or other needs of the District. Such changes will be decided by the Administration with the understanding that they will be made on a voluntary basis when possible. However, the Board will make every effort to make such changes prior to August 1 of each year.
Notification of Teaching Assignment. Regularly employed teachers shall be given written notice of tentative teaching assignments on or before July 31 of each academic year. Regularly employed teachers shall generally be given notice of an involuntary transfer or reassignment no later than June 30. Teachers who receive notice of an involuntary transfer or reassignment after June 30 shall have the right to meet with the Superintendent to discuss the new assignment. Teachers who are not satisfied with the discussion at the Superintendent's level shall have the right to appeal in writing to the Board of Education. The Board may, at its option, meet with the teacher to discuss the matter.
Notification of Teaching Assignment. The colleges shall make reasonable efforts to notify faculty members of their tentative teaching assignments no later than the time at which the initial schedule is submitted for publication. It is understood that such tentative assignments are subject to change. To the extent possible, part-time faculty shall be notified of assignments at least six (6) weeks in advance.

(2) be made without the consent of the professional employee whose assignment is changed if a vacancy in a professional staff position occurs as a result of a maternity leave, sabbatical leave, resignation, irrevocable retirement, or other leave request, written notice of which had not been given to the District at least ten (10) days prior to the last staff work day of the approved calendar year. (3) be made without the consent of the professional employee whose assignment is changed if a vacancy must be filled as a result of the return from leave status of a professional employee if written notice of intention to return from leave had not been given to the District at least ten (10) days prior to the last staff work day of the approved calendar year. Each professional employee shall be provided the opportunity to review his assignment and/or request a change of assignments. Such review shall be initiated first with the Superintendent or his designee and may at the request of the employee thereafter be made with the School Board of Education.

Notification of Teaching Assignment. By May 15, each teacher shall be given notice of his/her tentative teaching assignment (grade level for elementary school and class schedule for middle school and high school) for the next school year. Starting with the first Monday in August, each teacher shall be notified of any changes in his or her teaching assignment with a copy sent to the Association President. Notices may be in either written or electronic format.
