Probation and Termination. (a) The Physician shall be subject to the Employer’s probation policy applicable to senior management employees, unless the Employer and Physician agree otherwise.

A Presidents' Honors Scholar whose cumulative Maricopa GPA, including ALL credits (e.g. dual enrollment), falls below 3.25 but at or above 3.0 at the end of the first semester may qualify for probation. The student must raise the cumulative district-wide GPA to at least 3.25 prior to beginning the third semester. Student must meet with one of the Honors Program Directors to sign a probationary letter. Students will not be eligible for renewal of the scholarship if: ● the cumulative Maricopa GPA, including ALL credits, is below 3.0 at the end of the first semester, ● they fail to complete their Honors coursework or a sufficient number of credit hours, ● they receive less than a “C” grade in their Honors course, ● they do not complete the minimum number of required co-curricular activities, ● they do not maintain a cumulative GPA above 3.25 from second semester to completion. ● they do not complete at least 12 credits in the semester Honors Program students should not withdraw from courses or alter class schedules without first consulting the College Honors Program. Refund, drop/add, and withdrawal policies, dates, and deadlines apply to all.
Probation and Termination. (1) Students who fail to meet minimum requirements for attendance or academic progress after the warning period will be placed on probation and considered to be making satisfactory academic progress during the first probationary period or if the student appeals the decision and prevails. (2) Students on probation will be provided a written document (academic plan) enumerating the attendance and academic requirements that must be met (attendance at or above 80% and academic performance at or above 75%) to maintain a rating of Satisfactory Academic Progress. (3) Those probationary students who succeed in meeting the standards by the next evaluation period will be rated as making Satisfactory Academic Progress. (4) Those probationary students who fail to meet the standards by the next evaluation period will be rated as making Unsatisfactory Academic Progress. (5) Students who are not progressing satisfactorily will be terminated.
Probation and Termination. 1. All new employees hired in the bargaining unit shall serve a probationary period of six (6) calendar months, during which time employees may be terminated without cause. After an employee has been employed by the employer for more than six (6) months, termination shall be for just cause.

A first-year Presidents' Scholar whose cumulative Maricopa GPA, including ALL credits, falls below 3.25 but above 3.0 at the end of the first semester will be placed on probation. The student must raise the cumulative Maricopa GPA to 3.25 prior to beginning the third semester. Failure to do so will result in the loss of the scholarship. Incoming Presidents' Scholars with a cumulative Maricopa GPA, including ALL credits, falling below 3.0 at the end of the first semester will lose their scholarship, which cannot be reinstated.
Probation and Termination. All employees are subject to a probation period as set out in the Collective Agreement. Termination of employment shall only be with just cause and shall be subject to the terms and conditions set out in the Collective Agreement, including the discipline provisions and the grievance procedure. For additional clarity, continued poor performance that is not remedied shall be considered just cause that will be subject to the grievance procedure and disciplinary/corrective steps. Employees may resign with two (2) weeks’ notice and remain in good standing, as per the BC Employment Standards Act. No employee shall be required to relinquish any statutory right to which they may be entitled under any applicable law.

Failure to fulfill RA job requirements as listed above may ultimately result in probation or termination. • While initial and/or minor occurrences of job performance inadequacies may not constitute automatic probation or termination, each incident will be addressed formally and continued lack of improvement may result in probation or termination. • Grounds for immediate termination include, but are not limited to, two consecutive semesters of not meeting minimum GPA requirements, misuse of a master, sub-master, or any RA-issued key or University ID card, any blatant or complicit violation of University policies, or any act of extreme negligence to adhere to the RA Agreement. Termination may also result from a combination of documented circumstances in which the RA has failed to meet expectations. • Once an RA is on probation, if further discipline is required, it may result in termination and not an extended probation period. There will be no extension of probation and no layering of different types of probation. • The Office of Residence Life reserves the right to dismiss an RA from all job responsibilities at any point that the job requirements are not met. Compensation will cease at the point of termination and room scholarships will be prorated at the time of dismissal. • RAs cannot continue in their position if they are found responsible for violations of the University code of conduct or academic honor code and/or are placed on institutional probation or suspension. • This agreement is unable to cover all aspects of the RA position and will not be the definitive decision maker in RA employment decisions and expectations.
Probation and Termination. The use of a Match AMEX card is a privilege intended to simplify the purchasing process for cardholders. In order to meet strict audit and federal grant documentation requirements, the business office is responsible for ensuring that all Match purchases are reasonable, clearly and thoroughly documented, and properly approved. For this reason, the business office must begin to limit and/or remove the privilege of the use of a Match AMEX card to any cardholder who does not comply with Match’s and/or American Express’s policies and procedures.
