Professional Development Allowance. A sessional practitioner engaged under Arrangement B shall be entitled to be paid the annual Professional Development Allowance prescribed in Clause (30)(6)(a).
Professional Development Allowance. (a) Practitioners engaged under Arrangement A shall receive the following annual Professional Development Allowance payable pro rata fortnightly from the first pay period on or after the dates specified.
Professional Development Allowance. (a) The CEO may, subject to this clause, approve the reimbursement or payment of financial assistance to an employee who has been employed in the professional stream to offset professional development costs.
(b) Payment of the allowance is subject to the following qualifying periods, amounts and conditions:
(i) The annual Professional Development Allowance entitlement year is 1 January to 31 December, and continuous service is determined as at 1 January each year;
A. One year up to five years continuous service in the professional stream – as at 1 January 2017 – up to $572 per annum; or
B. Five years or more continuous service in the professional stream – as at 1 January 2017 – up to $1259 per annum.
(ii) The allowance amounts outlined in clauses 48.3(b)(i)A and 48.3(b)(i)B will be adjusted annually in accordance with the annual September to September Darwin Consumer Price Index with effect from 1 January each year.
(iii) An employee can only make one claim per Professional Development Allowance entitlement year up to the employee’s maximum annual Professional Development Allowance entitlement.
(iv) Reimbursement can be made at any time during the year where the employee has reached their maximum Professional Development Allowance entitlement on production of sufficient evidence to substantiate the employee’s professional development costs.
(v) Reimbursement will be in the form of a lump sum.
(vi) The allowance will not count as salary for any purpose.
(vii) The allowance will apply to part-time employees on a pro rata basis based upon their contracted hours of employment.
(viii) An advance payment of the allowance may be approved at the employee’s request in circumstances where the employee is required to meet substantial costs in advance for an approved professional development activity; eg an interstate conference.
(ix) As part of the performance planning and review process, an employee and their manager may agree to forward plan a professional development activity that may incorporate more than one year’s allowance; eg an overseas conference.
(x) The production of sufficient evidence by the employee substantiating professional development costs and activity/activities incurred, or to be incurred by the employee, and providing evidence that the employee attended the activity/activities.
(c) The allowance is payable for the following professional development activities:
(i) fees for professional courses, tuition, conferences or similar;
(ii) fees for pro...
Professional Development Allowance. 31.1. Permanent employees are entitled to the following professional development allowance: Category A $2,154 $2,208 $2,263 Category B $2,693 $2,760 $2,829 All other employees $1,615 $1,655 $1,696 *As identified in HR Policy C42.
Professional Development Allowance. The Board shall pay an allowance for Professional Development into the Professional Development Fund in ten (10) monthly installments as established in Article F.22.
Professional Development Allowance. (b) The allowance is increased in line with the general percentage salary adjustments.
(a) A practitioner who, at the time of the commencement of this Agreement was entitled to apply to a teaching hospital clinical staff education fund for funding of any form of accrued or pro rata professional development leave prescribed under this Agreement, will retain the entitlement to apply for funding notwithstanding that under this Agreement the Professional Development and Expense Allowance for service after 1 April 2007 is paid.
(b) A practitioner is not entitled to payment from more than one source for the same entitlement. The proscription does not apply to funding from other than hospital funds.
(c) The rules which apply to administration of the teaching hospital clinical staff education fund will be applied as if the practitioner had elected Arrangement B with respect to entitlements accrued prior to the commencement of this Agreement. This provision also applies with respect to prior service contributing to entitlements yet to be accrued, on a pro rata basis.
Professional Development Allowance. 9.1. An employee under this Schedule working 16 hours or more a fortnight is entitled to be paid the following professional development allowance on a pro-rata basis in accordance with the categories in Schedule 4 – Hospital and Health Service and Facility Categories to the Nurses and Midwives (Queensland Health) Award
9.2. 9.3. The allowance will be paid directly to nurses via the payroll system. The allowance is paid as normal salary and is included in gross earnings before tax. Payment is made for periods of paid leave, but is not to be included when calculating leave loading, penalty rates or overtime. The allowance is not included in superannuable salary or in ordinary time earnings (OTE) relating to superannuation.
9.4. The allowance is paid out on termination from employment, including resignation and retirement. The rate for calculating payment of the allowance upon termination will be the rate applicable at date of termination.
Professional Development Allowance. 20.01 Effective July 1, 2010, the University will provide a professional development fund of $35,000 annually, in addition to the allowance provided in Article 20.

55.2 Payment of the allowance is subject to the following qualifying periods, amounts and conditions:

(i) One year up to five years continuous service as at 1 January 2019 – up to $582 per annum; or
(ii) Five years or more continuous service as at 1 January 2019 – up to $1283 per annum.
(b) the allowance amounts outlined in 55.2(a)(i) and 55.2(a)(ii) will be adjusted annually in accordance with the annual September to September Darwin Consumer Price Index with effect from 1 January each year;
(c) an employee can only make one claim per Professional Development Allowance entitlement year up to the employee’s maximum annual Professional Development Allowance entitlement.
(d) reimbursement can be made at any time during the financial year where the employee has reached their maximum Professional Development Allowance entitlement on production of sufficient evidence to substantiate the employee’s professional development costs;
(e) reimbursement will be in the form of a lump sum;
