Provider Training. PROVIDER agrees to obtain, at its own expense, ongoing training, and supervision according to applicable medical, mental health and substance use disorder practices and the licensing, credentialing or other qualifications policies, procedures or regulations of the State of Michigan and/or MSHN as outlined in Attachment F - MSHN Training Requirements. PROVIDER shall furnish a written summary of such training and supervision efforts to MSHN upon request.
Provider Training. (2 pages, plus 1 additional page per additional MCO Program bid if the Respondent’s response differs by MCO Program) 1. Provide a brief description of the proposed Provider training programs for each MCO Program bid. For STAR+PLUS only, distinguish between training programs for Acute Care Providers and Community-based Long-Term Services and Supports Providers. The description should include: a. the types of programs to be offered, including the modality of training; b. what topics will be covered; c. which Providers will be invited to attend; d. how the Respondent proposes to maximize Provider participation; e. how Provider training programs will be evaluated; f. the frequency of Provider training; and g. for STAR+PLUS Long Term Services and Supports providers in El Paso, Lubbock, and Xxxxxxx, who have never submitted traditional claim forms, a brief summary of additional methods to assist these providers. 2. Briefly describe two (2) examples of recent Provider training programs relevant to each of the MCO Programs bid. These examples must include: a. a description of the training program; b. a summary of distributed materials (the actual materials are not to be submitted);
Provider Training. Contractor shall ensure that all Network Providers receive training regarding the MediConnect Program in order to operate in full compliance with the Contract and all applicable federal and state statutes and regulations. Contractor shall ensure that Network Provider training relates to MediConnect services, policies, procedures and any modifications to existing services, policies or procedures. Training shall include methods for sharing information among Contractor, Network Provider, Enrollee and/or other healthcare professionals. Contractor shall conduct training for all Network Providers within thirty (30) working days after the Contractor places a newly contracted provider on active status. Contractor shall ensure that Network Provider training includes information on all Enrollee rights including the right to full disclosure of health care information and the right to actively participate in health care decisions. The Contractor will maintain policies and procedures on Advance Directives pursuant to 42 C.F.R.‌ 2.9.10.2.1. Contractor shall develop and implement a process to provide information to Network Providers and to train Network Providers on a continuing basis regarding clinical protocols, evidenced-based practice guidelines and DHCS-developed cultural awareness and sensitivity instruction. This process shall include an educational program for Network Providers regarding health needs specific to this population that utilizes a variety of educational strategies, including but not limited to, posting information on websites as well as other methods of educational outreach to Network Providers.
Provider Training. Provider’s primary contact as identified in Section 7.7 or designee (so long as the designee is employed by Provider or an Affiliated Provider) and any updated primary contact or designee (as updated pursuant to Section 7.7) shall complete a training course covering Provider’s obligations under ICANN policies and agreements. Provider shall at all times employ at least one individual who has completed such training course. The course will be provided by ICANN at no expense to Provider, and shall be available in an online format.

PROVIDER shall furnish a written summary of such training and supervision efforts to PAYOR upon request.

Contractor shall ensure that all providers receive training regarding LIHP in order to operate in full compliance with the Contract and all applicable Federal and State statutes and regulations. Contractor shall ensure that provider training relates to LIHP services, policies, procedures and any modifications to existing services, policies or procedures. Training shall include methods for sharing information between Contractor, provider, Enrollee and/or other healthcare professionals.

Contractor shall ensure that all providers receive training regarding the Medi-Cal Managed Care program in order to operate in full compliance with the Contract and all applicable Federal and State statutes and regulations. Contractor shall ensure that provider training relates to Medi- Cal Managed Care services, policies, procedures and any modifications to existing services, policies or procedures. Training shall include methods for sharing information between Contractor, provider, Member and/or other healthcare professionals. Contractor shall conduct training for all providers within ten (10) working days after the Contractor places a newly contracted provider on active status. Contractor shall ensure that provider training includes information on all Member rights specified in Exhibit A, Attachment 13, Member Services, including the right to full disclosure of health care information and the right to actively participate in health care decisions. Contractor shall ensure that ongoing training is conducted when deemed necessary by either the Contractor or the State. B. Contractor shall develop and implement a process to provide information to providers and to train providers on a continuing basis regarding clinical protocols, evidenced-based practice guidelines and DHCS-developed cultural awareness and sensitivity instruction for Seniors and Persons with Disabilities or chronic conditions. This process shall include an educational program for providers regarding health needs specific to this population that utilizes a variety of educational strategies, including but not limited to, posting information on websites as well as other methods of educational outreach to providers.
Provider Training. The Contractor must: 1. Inform its Provider Network about the program, including all Covered Services contained in Appendix A; 2. Educate its Provider Network about its responsibilities for the integration and coordination of Covered Services through the provision of a Provider-training curriculum, flow charts, and other written materials to enhance coordination and linkage; 3. Inform its Provider Network about the procedures and timeframes for Enrollee Complaints and Enrollee Appeals; 4. Develop and provide continuing education programs for members of the Provider Network, including but not limited to: a. Identification and management of depression, alcohol abuse, and Alzheimer’s disease; b. Identification and treatment of incontinence; c. Preventing falls; d. Identification of abuse and neglect of elderly individuals; and e. Coordination of care within the Provider Network, including instructions regarding policies and procedures for maintaining the Centralized Enrollee Record. 5. Instruct and assist its Provider Network in verifying each Enrollee’s MassHealth eligibility from the Eligibility Verification System (EVS) before providing services (except for services for Emergency Conditions), without resulting in discrimination against the Enrollee.
Provider Training. The Contractor shall have an organized training program for network providers based upon the Contractor's annual assessment of training needs. This program shall include training on current EPSDT and IDEA requirements as follows: within three (3) months of a new physician entering the network; within twelve (12) months of the start date of this contract for any current network physician who has not received such training in the prior year; and every two years for physicians who have received an initial training.
