Rate of Overtime. (a) The appropriate rate of pay for overtime worked by an employee who is not a shift worker is:
(i) for work at any time from Monday to Saturday (inclusive) at the rate of single time and a half for the first two (2) hours and at double time thereafter;
(ii) for work at any time on a Sunday, at the rate of double time; or
(iii) for work on a public holiday, at the rate of double time and a half.
(b) The appropriate rate of pay for overtime worked by an employee who is a shift worker is:
(i) for work at any time other than a public holiday, double time; or
(ii) for work at any time on a public holiday, double time and a half.
(c) An employee required to resume or continue work without having the rest period prescribed by sub-clause 71.5, will be paid double time until released from duty or stood down.
(d) Where overtime work extends from one day to another day and a higher rate of pay is payable in relation to one of those days, the appropriate overtime rate payable, for the minimum payment or the entire attendance, is the higher rate of pay.
Rate of Overtime. Unless otherwise specified overtime shall be paid at the rate of one and one-half (1-1/2) times the employee's base rate of pay. The employee shall have the choice of taking overtime in cash or compensatory time off. For all positions represented by the Association, for the purpose of overtime calculations, the base rate will include incentive pay, longevity pay, and special assignment pay as applicable.
Rate of Overtime. Overtime shall be paid at the rate of time and one-half for the first eight (8) hours of overtime and double time thereafter. There will be no pyramiding of overtime or other premiums under this Agreement. All overtime worked over and above the regular work schedule as defined in Article 13 will be considered overtime. Overtime shall be paid at the rate of time and one half (1.5) for the first eight (8) hours and double time (2.0) thereafter. Any employee who is required to work on a holiday (the actual stipulated day) shall be paid at the rate of double time his/her standard rate of pay for every hour worked in addition to his/her regular holiday pay.
Rate of Overtime.
7.2.1 Unless otherwise specified in Section 7.3 overtime shall be paid at the rate of one and one-half (1-1/2) times the employee's normal base pay. This will be shown as “T-1/2”. The employee shall have the choice of taking overtime in cash or compensatory time off unless specified differently in the following provisions.
7.2.2 For all represented employees, for the purpose of overtime calculations, the regular rate of pay will include incentive pay, longevity pay, special assignment pay, or Canine Officer pay, as applicable. (Amended 2019-2021)
Rate of Overtime. Overtime hours assigned or approved for regular employees covered under the FLSA shall be compensated at the rate of 1-1/2 hours for each 1 hour of overtime worked.
Rate of Overtime. (a) The appropriate rate of pay for overtime worked by an employee is:
(i) for work at any time from Monday to Saturday (inclusive) at the rate of single time and a half for the first three hours and at double time thereafter;
(ii) for work at any time on a Sunday, at the rate of double time; or
(iii) for work on a public holiday, at the rate of double time and a half.
(b) An employee required to resume or continue work without having the rest period prescribed by clause 45.5, will be paid double time until released from duty or stood down.
(c) Where overtime work extends from one day to another day and a higher rate of pay is payable in relation to one of those days, the appropriate overtime rate payable, for the minimum payment or the entire attendance, is the higher rate of pay.
Rate of Overtime. All officers on duty shall be paid for overtime at one and one-half (1-1/2) times his/her regular hourly rate.
Rate of Overtime. Administrative Employees.
A. Overtime hours assigned or approved for employees shall be paid at the rate of one and one-half (1 ½) hours for each one (1) hour of overtime worked, or with the approval of the supervisor, compensatory time off at the rate of one and one-half (1 ½) hours for each overtime hour worked. All employees under this contract who choose to bank approved compensatory time off shall be permitted to bank such compensatory time off during a calendar year. Compensatory time off shall be taken at times agreed to by the supervisor and the employee. Any request for compensatory time off shall not be denied if the use of the compensatory time does not unduly disrupt the operations of the Employer. Any request for compensatory time off that is denied by the supervisor shall be in writing stating the reason for the denial. If an employee is unable to take said compensatory time off before the end of the year, the employee shall automatically be paid for said accumulated compensatory time no later than January 31 of the following year in which the compensatory time was earned; except that at the employee’s option, compensatory time earned in December may be carried over to the following year. Compensatory time shall be paid at the hourly rate of pay at which it was earned.
B. All hours assigned or approved and worked on a holiday as established by Article 10 (Holidays) shall be paid at the rate of two and one-half (2 ½) times an employee’s enhanced hourly rate.
Rate of Overtime. (a) The rate of overtime for full time and part-time employees shall be time and a half for the first two (2) hours on any one day and at the rate of double time thereafter, except on a Sunday which shall be paid for at the rate of double time and on a Public Holiday which shall be paid for at the rate of double time and a half.
(b) The rate of overtime for casual employees shall be time and three quarters of the ordinary hourly rate of pay for the first two (2) hours on any one day and double time and a quarter of the ordinary hourly rate of pay thereafter, except on a Sunday which shall be double time and a quarter of the ordinary hourly rate of pay and double time and three quarters of the ordinary hourly rate on a Public Holiday (inclusive of the casual loading).
Rate of Overtime. (a) The rate of overtime for full time and part-time employees shall be time and a half for the first two hours on any one day and at the rate of double time thereafter, except on a Sunday which shall be paid for at the rate of double time and on a Public Holiday which shall be paid for at the rate of double time and a half.
(b) The rate of overtime for casual employees shall be 175% of the ordinary hourly rate of pay for the first two hours on any one day and 225% of the ordinary hourly rate of pay thereafter, except on a Sunday which shall be 225% of the ordinary hourly rate of pay and 275% on a Public Holiday (inclusive of the casual loading).
