Overtime for Casual Employees. (a) A casual Employee employed by a department of the Parliament is entitled to receive penalty payments for hours worked on weekends using the equivalent overtime formula as is applied to permanent Employees.
(b) Casual Employees are not entitled to overtime payments for work undertaken between Monday and Friday.
Overtime for Casual Employees. (a) Casual Employees shall be deemed to be working overtime when required by the Employer to work:
(i) in excess of forty-eight (48) hours cumulative in one (1) week to be defined as zero seven hundred (0700) hours Monday to zero seven hundred (0700) hours Monday; or
(ii) in excess of twelve (12) hours cumulative in a twenty-four (24) hour period to be defined as zero seven hundred (0700) hours to zero seven hundred (0700) hours shall be paid the applicable overtime rate for all hours worked thereafter.
Overtime for Casual Employees. The parties agree that casual employees shall be entitled to overtime pay only for hours worked in excess of ten (10) hours per day or as provided for by the terms of an extended hours permit obtained by the Employer pursuant to the Labour Standards Act.
Overtime for Casual Employees. (a) Casual employee working less than the normal hours per day of a full-time employee, and who is required to work longer than their regular working day, shall be paid at the rate of straight-time for the hours so worked, up to and including the normal hours in the working day of as full-time employee.
(b) A casual employee working less than the normal days per week of a full-time employee, and who is required to work other than their regularly scheduled workdays, shall be paid at the rate of straight-time for the days so worked up to and including the normal days in the work week of a full-time employee.
(c) Overtime rates shall apply to hours worked in excess of (a) and (b) above.
Overtime for Casual Employees. (a) Casual “Urban” Regular Employees shall be deemed to be working overtime when required by the Employer to work more than the ten (10) “Core Hours” per day shift and more than the required ten (10) “Core Hours”, and any of the four (4) “Flex Hours” combined per night shift. These employees will be compensated at a rate of two times (2X) the basic rate of pay.
(i) Effective April 1, 2012 an employee on the night shift will be deemed to be working overtime when required by the employer to work more than the twelve (12) “Core Hours” and any of the two (2) “Flex Hours” combined per night shift.
(ii) Effective April 1, 2013 an employee on the night shift will be deemed to be working overtime when required by the employer to work more than the fourteen (14) “Core Hours” per shift.
(b) Casual Urban Peak/Transfer Car employees shall be deemed to be working overtime when required to work more than eight (8) hours per day, or forty (40) hours per week.
(c) Casual “Rural” Employees shall be deemed to be working overtime when required by the Employer to work more than the required four (4) “Core Hours” per day shift and six (6) “Flex Hours” combined in a twenty-four
Overtime for Casual Employees. (a) A casual employee shall receive overtime in the following circumstances:
(i) for hours worked in excess of 76 ordinary hours over a fortnightly cycle.
(ii) where additional hours are accepted immediately prior to, or during their rostered shift on any day and any or all of the additional hours accepted exceed 10 hours in any one day.
(b) Overtime will be paid at time and a half for the first two hours and double time thereafter.
Overtime for Casual Employees. (a) A casual employee working less than the normal hours per day of a full-time employee, and who is required to work longer than his/her shift, shall be paid at the rate of straight time for the hours so worked, up to and including the normal hours in the working day of a full-time employee.
(b) A casual employee working less than the normal days per week of a full-time employee, and who is required to work other than his/her scheduled workdays, shall be paid at the rate of straight time for the days so worked up to and including the normal workdays in the workweek of a full-time employee.
(c) Overtime rates shall apply to hours worked in excess of (a) and (b) above.
(d) Overtime entitlement shall be calculated in fifteen (15) minute increments, however, an employee shall not be entitled to any compensation for periods of overtime of less than five (5) minutes per day.
(e) Overtime worked shall be compensated at the following rates:
(1) time and one-half (1½ x) for the first three (3) hours of overtime; and
(2) double time (2x) thereafter.
(f) An employee who is required to work overtime shall be entitled to overtime compensation when the overtime worked is authorized in advance by the Employer. It is understood that, in emergency situations, prior authorization may not be possible. Employees working in more than one program are obligated to inform the Employer or designate and receive approval if they are asked to work hours that would result in overtime.
(g) An employee required to work overtime beyond his/her scheduled shift shall be entitled to eight (8) clear hours between the end of the overtime worked and the start of his/her next shift. If eight (8) clear hours are not provided, overtime rates shall apply to all hours worked on the shift which fall within the eight (8) hour period.
Overtime for Casual Employees. (a) Casual “Regular Shift” Employees shall be deemed to be working overtime when required by the Employer to work more than the ten (10) hours per day shift and more than the fourteen (14) hours, per night shift. These employees will be compensated at a rate of two times (2X) the basic rate of pay.
(b) Casual “Peak Shift” employees shall be deemed to be working overtime when required to work more than eight (8) hours per day, or forty (40) hours per week.
(c) Casual “Core Flex Shift” Employees shall be deemed to be working overtime when required by the Employer to work more than the required four (4) “Core Hours” per day shift and six (6) “Flex Hours” combined in a twenty-four (24) hour shift. These employees will be compensated at a rate of two times (2X) the basic rate of pay.
Overtime for Casual Employees. (a) Hours worked by casual employees in excess of ten (10) hours on any one day are to be paid as follows: Day Rate Weekdays 150% of the Casual Hourly Rate for the first two hours and then 200% the Casual Hourly Rate for all additional hours worked during each allocated daily hours Saturday 150% of the Casual Hourly Rate for the first two hours and then 200% the Casual Hourly Rate for all additional hours worked during each allocated daily hours Sunday 200% of the Casual Hourly Rate for all hours worked during each allocated daily hours Public Holiday 250% of the Casual Hourly Rate for all hours worked during each allocated daily hours
(b) Each day will be calculated on its own.
(c) Overtime rates under this clause will be in substitution for and not cumulative upon with other penalty rates prescribed in this Agreement (such as the Night Penalty Rate and Afternoon Penalty Rate, weekend penalty rates or Public Holiday penalty rates).
Overtime for Casual Employees. (a) Overtime rates shall only be payable to a casual when they work in excess of 37.5 hours per week or 75 hours per fortnight depending on the roster period.
(b) Payment of overtime to casual employees shall be calculated against the hourly ordinary rate and shall be in lieu of the casual loading and any shift penalty rates
